I just stared at the door Synth and his warriors ran out of.

"Kit Kat, we have to get to the cells, that's where everyone is waiting. I will explain everything on the way." Jason wasn't really scared, he was excited. I was so confused, who is attacking? Why is Jason happy? What the hell is happening?

I didn't even realise that Jason and I were in the cells already until a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and I felt the sparks flow through my body.

"Mate." my wolf purred at that thought.

"Kat it's really you. You are even more beautiful then I remember. I've missed you so much." Cain's arms tightened around my waist.

I felt tears running down my cheeks as I realise, I am with my mate, Jason will be Alpha and I will be leaving here soon. I turned to Cain and didn't hesitate, I kissed him. I put all my love, fear and passion into that one kiss. He responded the same way, deepening the kiss, making me weak at the knees.

We pull apart desperate for air, he rests his forehead against mine and just smiles while looking deep into my eyes. I get lost in his beautiful orange eyes, feeling his love and happiness that is radiating off his body.

Jason cleared his throat, and looked apologetic. "I hate to cut your happy reunion short, but we have a war to attend to. Kat I know you won't stay behind so I brought you a change of clothes." he hands me a black bag with clothes in it.

"Yeah we should fill you in to, one of my warriors mind linked me ten minutes before the attack that there was four other packs with my warriors attacking Alpha Voss, and they don't plan on leaving survivors. So I mentioned our plan and how almost one hundred members were willing to fight against Voss, we came up with one solid plan. They are attacking from the front and in a few moments the ones on our side will attack on the other side and cage Voss and his rogues in. From that moment we will give the rogues their choice, be locked up and punished by the council or die. As you know for Jason to take over as Alpha, he must kill Voss. I won't ask you not to fight but I want you to promise me to be careful. Please kitty Kat, I can't lose you to. It's hard enough as is knowing Shane won't be by my side." I could see the pain clearly across Thomas's face and it broke my heart.

I looked around the cells and realised that everyone was here ready to attack. Marcus, Knox, Cruze, Tatiana, Scott, Colby, Mike, Tanner and so many others. Men and women all were ready for Jason to lead them.

"Luna," a tall man with all sorts of piercings, tattoos and a mohawk came up to me. He looked scary, but I didn't pull away from him. "My name is John, I am Alpha Cain's beta, I came with the other packs that Luna Trisha gathered." I smiled at the polite introduction. Guess I shouldn't judge a book by the cover.

"Ok everyone, enough chit chat let's go do this! Knox, Cruze and John, you three wait for kit Kat to change then meet us over by the lake. Everyone else let's go!" Jason ordered everyone around so naturally.

Cain gave me another kiss, "Please be careful my love." and with that he turned and left. I grabbed the bag and went into an office looking type of room to change.

I come out wearing gym shorts and a tank top with sneakers on my feet. I smile at the guys as I come out. They were getting along as if they were friends for ever.

Before I knew what was happening the twins ran over wrapping me in their arms. I was sandwiched between them.

"A..ai..air. C...can't b.. b..breath!" I cough out. John is laughing at us while the twins loosen their hold.

"Sorry Kat, we failed you and allowed you be taken." Cruze was first to speak.

"Yeah we were slacking and you paid the price. We aren't worthy enough to guard you any more." Knox agreed.

I pulled back and smacked them both upside the head. "Don't say that! You boys did everything you possibly could. You guys did everything I could ever ask of you. Don't say that. No more negativity boys, we have a fight to attend." I smirk devilishly. "Plus you get to protect me today don't you?" that got their attention.

"Yeah now prove your worthy of protecting my Luna and let's go." John threw in with a cocky smirk.

The boys straightened up and we were off. Knox and Cruze went first to make sure everything was clear,  I followed and John was right behind me. We made our way to the clearing. As we got closer I could see just through the tree line that Synth and his men were surrounded and some man who radiated power had just given everyone their options. Die or deal with the council.

Growls erupted from the middle and Synths voice boomed over all the noise. "They will never give up and will die fighting for their freedom! Kill everyone except my kitten! I will have her tonight in my bed!" he roared at his men. That comment caused a lot of growls, Cain especially was outraged. His while body was shaking.

With that the fighting started and all hell broke lose. I couldn't move from my spot and didn't realise it but Knox and Cruze were gone. I turned beside me and John was there.

"Luna climb this tree and wait for the fighting to go down." he was concerned. Awe how cute. So I did what he asked, but I have a power to help. So I decided this would be my vantage point.

At the top I could see everything. Blood, dead bodies, some in wolf form, others in human form. Synth wad protected by warriors and Cain and four others were having issues getting to him.

So I concentrate on my powers, letting the wind pick up around the clearing, I throw a couple air balls at Synths guards and end up taking out half of them. Oops guess I still have to work on my power control.

Everyone attacks and finishes the rest off. My stomach lurches at the brutality of the fight. Heads being ripped off bodies, limbs flying here and there, blood and more blood, I even think that poor man has his organs hanging out of his body. I feel sick, I have never had a weak stomach but this was just to much.

I lean over the branch and up chuck. I wipe my mouth after a couple moments and look back to the fight. Cain is squaring off against Synth and his two lackeys, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. That isn't fair, but everyone else is busy.

I have to help my mate, my wolf is on the verge of taking control. I climb down the tree to avoid the puke on the ground and turn to the battle. I can't hold my wolf back and I shift.

I jump over bodies, weave between fights, I'm almost to them when I'm slammed to the ground. Shit, I wasn't watching my surroundings. A big grey wolf that smelled of rogue was standing over me snapping at me.

I growled a warning for him to get off, he bit my shoulder causing immense pain. I whimper as he withdraws his teeth from my shoulder, as he is about to snap at my throat I use my air powers to pick him up off me and throw him into a tree. I threw him so hard he broke his back. I got up and staggered a bit. He did some ugly damage.

I pushed on and as I got closer the twins joined me, Knox on my left and Cruze on my right. They knew where I was going. As we approached the men they all shifted into their wolves. I jumped at Tweedle Dee, Knox and Cruze took out Tweedle Dum.

I aimed straight for his throat, I caught him but not good enough. He moved at the last moment and escaped death. I jumped after him continuing to attack as he kept evading me. I was finally getting mad. I concentrate on wind and was lifted off the ground as Tweedle Dee lunged at me. He missed and was shocked to say the least.

I took this opportunity and lunged at him. it worked I had distracted him long enough to rip his throat out.

I turn to the others in time to see Synth on top of Cain biting his neck. I shift back to my human form and I'm pissed, Cain isn't moving and there is so much blood. My body shakes, everyone stares at me. The fighting all stops, I feel wind all over the clearing. My powers are feeding off my emotions and Synth realised this.

Feeling the power radiate around me, I form a tornado around Synth causing him to lift off Cain just as he was ready to snap my mates neck. This makes me see red. I use the tornado to hold Synth in place, as I float closer to him.

"HOW DARE YOU TRY AND KILL MY MATE? YOU WILL BE PUNISHED AND KILLED!" my voice boomed with authority and power that I didn't know I had. I could feel the wind powers and I liked it.

"Kat put him down and let me finish him." Jason called from below us. That's when I realised that I was choking Synth. I was taking the air from his lungs. I can't kill him, Jason has to. But the power, it feels so good. I come to my senses as Synth starts turning an ugly shade of purple from lack of oxygen.

I drop Synth to the ground and before he can regain his breath fully Jason walked up to him and ripped out his throat in human form. I let my self down to the ground near Cain and drop to his side. I was relieved to find him still breathing.

Howls broke out around me and I realised Jason was Alpha and this was over. Doctor Swanson came running over. Immediately taking charge and ordering men to carry Cain to the pack house.

"Kat on my honor as a doctor I will try everything in my power to not let him die on you. Oh and I'm proud of you controlling your powers, seems your more powerful then I realised." and with that he followed the men carrying Cain.

I just sat in the clearing full of blood and dead bodies, as I looked around there were people dragging bodies into a pile beside a group of men digging a hole. The world started to spin and spots invaded my sight. It didn't take long and I passed out. I welcomed it just so I didn't have to see the destruction around me.
