**Cain POV**

I woke up in a white hospital like room, but I'm in a comfy bed. Kat is curled up sleeping soundly beside me. How did I end up here? I thought I was dead. Synth had gone in for the kill and I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even get through the link to tell Kat that I loved her from day one. I can remember it like it was yesterday.

**Flashback**

Grumbling to my self about having to visit alpha Thomas on such short notice about some important papers that didn't get signed was not my idea of fun. Especially not tonight, there was a big party going on for one of my pack members who is turning sixteen.

I wanted to be there to not only have fun, but there was going to be some human girls there. I'm not a player, but I have animalistic needs that need to be satisfied. I tend to avoid the she wolves because they are so clingy and annoying after.

I swear sex to them is the same as an engagement ring. I turned the truck I was driving down the main street when something caught my attention. A woman climbing a fence, naked.

Wow she had a beautiful body, and oh my god what an ass. Her long blonde hair all but sparkled in the darkness. That was the kind of hair I wanted to feel brush along my body while making sweet love to that miraculous body.

I just gave my self a hard on great, I mentally slap myself for getting so turned on. I stopped the truck to see off I could help that woman. She looked lost. For some reason my wolf was anxiously pacing in my mind. He wanted something but didn't know what.

As soon as I opened my door, her intoxicating scent of French vanilla and mint hit my nose.

"Mate, our mate. Find our mate!" my wolf wanted out to find her.

"Calm down, I will find her." I tried to be stern but my wolf was in over drive.

"Find mate or I'll take over and find her." my wolf growled at me.

Trying to ignore my wolf so I could focus on finding that woman, I followed her scent down the block and into an alley. The scent stopped, where did she go? I looked around for a few moments then realised there was a ladder to the roof beside the dumpster.

Aaah she went up. I smiled to my self and climbed after her.  Trying to be sneaky I peeked around the roof top before standing fully. She was going from roof to roof. That's not safe for my mate.

Quickly I jump over houses following her. She stopped and started to look around while crouching low to the ground. Shit did she hear me? No she couldn't have, I didn't make noise.

She sees a bird and laughs at her self. So beautiful. She goes to jump to the next roof so I jump at her.

"Mine." I growled out as I tackle her to the ground. She hits her head and passes out. Not what I had intended. I picked her up and ran as fast as my wolf speed could back to my truck. I laid her on the back seat and drive as fast as my truck would go to alpha Thomas's pack house.

**End Of Flashback**

I smile as I look at my beautiful mate. She looks so peaceful sleeping beside me. This feels right, I can't wait to have her at home.

"Creeper." Her voice is groggy from sleep. A smile forms on her full, luscious lips.

I smile back. "You know it." I lean down and lightly press my lips to hers. The smell of her is intoxicating.

A beeping noise starts picking up speed and is really getting annoying, that's when I realised it was a machine hooked up to monitor my heart.

That's when I started noticing other things I had just skipped over before. I have bandages all over my body, I'm hooked up to so many different machines and I have an IV in my hand. How bad was I hurt and why am I hooked up to all these machines.

Kat notices my concerns, "I will go find doctor Swanson so he can explain things to you. I'll be right back." She kissed me quickly and left the room.

**Kat POV**

I was happy that Cain woke up finally. He was even moving around more. Hopefully he won't need those machines any more. I wandered down a couple white halls before finding an office area. The older nurse that let me go was sitting there clicking away on a computer.

"Excuse me, is doctor Swanson around? My mate Cain has woke up and is wanting answers." I smile at the older woman.

"He is awake? Are you sure my child? The doctor has him in a chemically induced coma because of how severe his head injury was." She looked confused, then scared.

"Yes I'm positive he is awake." I state getting a bit frustrated that she didn't believe me.

"Oh mercy me, I have to get the doctor in there right away. I will get in touch with you soon my child, please go find the Alpha." and with that she ran the direction I had just come from.

Why did she want me to go find Alpha Jason? I guess I will find him and ask. I went down to the office to find Thomas, Jason and four other powerful men sitting sitting discussing something.

"Oh I'm sorry, I should have knocked." I felt my face heat up in embarrassment.

"That's fine kit Kat, please come have a seat. We are almost finished then I can introduce you to everyone that came to save you thanks to Savannah and Trisha." Jason pointed to the couch to the left of his desk that was empty.

I nod my head and sit down. Jason and Thomas were making a copy of the same contract for an alliance between all the alphas. The others were putting their input in as well. Once they finished everyone signed it and got a copy.

Thomas turns his attention towards me and smiles, "Now that the boring part is over Kat I would like to introduce you to the Alphas that helped free you. This is Alpha Jameson, Alpha Thompson, Alpha Miller, and Alpha Davis." Thomas points to each man.

I shook each man's hand, while saying a polite thanks to each. After the introductions Jason sent the men away. They were all going home today.

"Kitty Kat, Jason and I were taking and did you know there are other elementals out there looking for you?" I wasn't sure what Thomas meant. Yes I knew about the other elementals but no I didn't know they were looking for me.

"The doctor mentioned something about other elementals but because of synth I wasn't allowed contact with them." I was kind of scared, they are looking for me.

"I notified the wearwolf council of you and they notified the other elementals and they will all be here tonight. We will need to discuss proper training for you. Since Cain has marked you we can't make any final decisions without him. I know this is going to sound sexist, but the elementals only deal with men. Did you know you are the first female elemental ever." Jason sounded concerned about that last fact.

I'm not sure why, but something is telling me that winning over the elementals won't be easy. I groaned at that thought.

"We are the first female because we are stronger then any other elemental." My wolf says confidently.

"How do you know for sure? I don't get it. How can elementals only be men?" I just want a straight answer.

"I can feel it, the power. We just need to learn to control it so we don't get drunk on power again. It can cloud our judgement and make us become evil." My wolf seemed to know a lot about this.

"So should we practice before they get here then out what?" I don't want to be seen as weak to the other elementals.

"Yes ask Tatiana to help. I trust her the most."

"Jee that's not sexist at all." I joke with my wolf, but she completely ignored me.

"Jason can you call Tatiana for me, I want to go with her to do some training before the elementals get here." I don't know why my wolf trusts Tatiana so much but I need to trust my wolf in this type of situation.

He smiles and nods. Thomas had this far away look on his face so I'm guessing he was mind linking someone to. So I just got up and went out side the office to wait for Tatiana. I figured this was the first step in finding out why my wolf trusted her so much.

"Hey Kat. How are you feeling? I heard Cain is awake to. That is such great news." she smiled her mega watt smile, easing my tension.

"Yeah, but the nurse seemed very weirded out with the fact that he woke up. She said the doctor had Cain in a medically enduced coma or something. If thats the case he shouldn't have woken up. But he did, so I'm not sure what they are doing with him. The reason I got Alpha Jason to call you is I want to do some wind training before some important people get here. Are you free for a couple hours?" I kept my fingers crossed that she would be ok with helping me. I knew she would be because my wolf told me she would.

"Woah thats not cool, not sure about him waking up unless the drugs don't affect him because he is an Alpha?" she replied more as a question then a statement. "Oh and of course I will help, I've been looking for an excuse to see your powers. I heard about the battle and how awesome you were." she smiled and linked our arms together and led me out side to the back yard.

When we got out back I noticed a lot of kids and parents playing. Hmm this won't work out here, to many people to be spectators or even worse, end up injured. Tatiana must have thought the same thing. 

"I know this place that isn't far from here, you can practice without any distractions, no audiance, and defenately no injuries to little ones. Lets shift and run there, my wolf hasn't been let out in so long. Synth hated to let people shift and run freely. He knew we had to once in a while so no one turned on our own pack members, but he was in control the whole time." she frowned thinking of the past and how much of a dictator Synth was.

"Mind link Jason and let him know where we are going, and to let you know if anything changes with Cain. I don't want to leave him, but the doctor needs to sort shit out without me interfering." she nods and goes behind the bush to strip and shift. I did the same thing, only behind a different bush.

I walk out with my clothes in my mouth to see a sandy brown wolf with black ears and a black tip on its tail waiting for me. Tatiana's wolf was very pretty, suited her to a T. I wasn't sure what she was thinking and this was one moment I wish I knew. She just stared at me like I had grown a second head. I cock my head to the side to silently ask her 'what?'

My wolf wasn't normal, she had always been an off coloring. My coat was white but there was grey specks all through my coat. I think it has to do with being a wind elemental. From history texts and things my family has learned over the years, the elementals all have white wolves with color specks from their element. Water has blue specks, earth has brown specks and fire has red and orange specks.

Tatiana gives her big wolfy head a shake and snaps out of her trance. She turns to go into the forest then turns around to make sure I am behind her. Then like a bolt she is off and running. I quickly fell in step beside her. I actually had to slow down, Tataiana was slower then me. Then again I have always been fast. My family belived in the saying, 'A strong and fast human makes a stronger and faster wolf' so I had always been trained in human form and in wolf form.

It doesn't take long and we make it to a river and Tatiana runs along the bank following the river. A couple hundred feet and there is a water fall. Before I know what is happening Tatiana drops her clothes and jumps off the edge.

I stop before the edge and just stare. My heart is pounding and I don't know what to do. I see Tataiana shift into her human form and she hollers out, "Yippee!" all the way into the water. Then I realise she was never in danger. I feel a bit silly for thinking she would risk her own life.

Instead of jumping into the water I shift and get dressed. I grab Tatiana's clothes and use my wind powers to float down the water fall. I can see Tatiana in the water staring at me in awe. I giggled to my self at the look on her face. I set foot on the bank by the water at the bottom and set down her clothes.

Tatiana swims closer, "HOLY SHIT KAT, THAT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!" she screams at me with a smile on her face. She is smiling so hard I think her face might just split in two. She climbs out of the water and gets dressed. "Show me more please?" Tatiana looks like a kid who was given full access to a candy store.

Laughing at her enthusiasm I shrug my shoulders, "If you think that was cool watch this." smirking I focus my powers into a small tornado and float it over to the water. I used my wind to pick up water and carry it over to a field full of flowers. I slowly start letting the water fall onto the flowers creating the look of rain. This was something doctor Swanson had me practice. When I used all the water I stopped and the tornado dissapeared.

The look on Tatiana's face was pure awe. She couldn't even talk. "Kat, that... it.. you.. WOW!" was all she could say.

"I'm just going to play around is that ok with you? Give me suggestions any time you want to." she just nods her head.

After about two hours of just playing around I decided to take a break. I was getting tired from using my wind so much. Tatiana had proven to be a big help. She helped me develop a stance to help me control the amount of power I put into my wind, different techniques and patterns in my wind. She even had me practicing in my wolf form. That was the coolest part, she loved how the wind formed from my wolf's mouth.

We were both laying on the river bank just staring at the clouds, talking about different shapes we seen when all of a sudden a ball of water floated up and dropped on us. We both jumped up on our feet after screaming at how cold the water was. We could hear laughing coming from behind us, slowly we turn around and come face to face with three men.

They were all laughing at us, and were all younger men. The first man had bright red hair, his eyes were brown with red mixed in, he was the shortest, but had the most muscles. His face was scruffy and very defined.

The man on his left had dark brown, almost black shoulder length hair, his eyes were the same dark brown with lighter brown flecks in them, his muscles weren't as big as the first man but his were more defined.

The man to the right had medium length blonde hair with a blue tinge to it. His eyes were a beautiful sky blue, with some green flecks in them. He was the tallest but he wasn't as built as the others, he was more wirey.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I questioned the three men. I used some of my power in my tone so they knew not to mess with us, although it didn't seem to faze them. I could tell Tatiana was scared so I stepped infront of her in a protective stance. I didn't know who these men were but I was NOT backing down and I would protect Tatiana.

The man with the red hair started laughing at me. "Calm down young pup, we aren't here to hurt you or your little friend. My name is Tyler, to my left is Pat and the man on my right is Cody. We are the elementals. The wearwolf council sent us here because there was a claim that a woman is the newest air elemental and we came to squash that rumour. Only men can be elementals." he was cocky and didn't seem to realise that the new air elemental is standing in front of him.

That irritated me and made me angry. I could feel my powers surging through my veins at his comment. The three men could feel this. "Tell me, why can't a woman be an elemental? Why is this preposterous? Oh just so you know, it does run in my family." I smirk at their faces as they put two and two together.

"So, the rumor is true. A female elemental. Humm, lets see what you got pup." Tyler said as he flung an extremely large fire ball towards Tataiana and I. Oh shit this isn't good.

**** CLIFFHANGER!! Oh no! There you have it, New characters. The elementals. Ate they going to accept a woman or won't they? Just going to have to keep reading to find out.

Updates should be coming faster now, I finally figured out how to go on my computer instead of using my cell phone :) Yaay me! Yes, I admit it, I'm a blonde and have major blonde moments lol any whoo, VOTE AND COMMENT! !
