Colton's POV
We were told the news about Joel. He had been walking on the sidewalk when a drunk driver swerved and hit him. Amber ran off crying.
"Can you go find her? Tell her that she needs to go pick up Ben and she's going to be doing Joel's parts tonight." Luke said. I nodded and went to go find Amber. I found her sitting on the edge of the stage.
"Hey." I said.
"I know Luke sent you." She said.
"Yeah he did. But I'm always her for you. You have me, all of Skillet, Steven, and Jeremy." I said and pulled her into a hug.
"I can't fill Joel's shoes while he's out. I'm not him." She said. I thought about what Joel had said about the Without you song.
"Yeah the fans wanted us to sing without you. Maybe we can do it tonight in honor of your brother. That would take off some of the pressure." I said. She nodded and stood up.
"I have to go pick up Ben. Do you want to come with me?" She asked. I nodded and held out my hand. She took it and we walked to a rental car and drove to the airport.

When we got to the airport we walked to ramp for the flight coming from Australia.
"Ben! Jake!" She yelled and they came over.
"Why is Jake here?" She asked.
"Glad to see you too!" He said. She gave them each a hug.
"It was going to be a surprise but when we heard about Joel. Jake knew he had to come." Ben said.
"Don't you have more friends back home?" I asked. Amber shook her head no.

We got their luggage and headed towards the stadium.

Amber's POV
By the time we got back I had to go change.
"I know this hard but your going to wear Joel's coat." Janet my makeup artist said handing me a new outfit. I went and changed into a white tee, black skinny jeans, and Joel's coat which was slightly big on me. I walked out and looked in mirror. I looked almost like Joel's except for my eyes.

Janet handed me a pair of black combat boots. I put them on and then sat in a chair. She did my makeup light again and put my hair in a French braid that stopped at my ear.
"You look just like your brother." She said and hugged me.
"Thanks. I'm trying not to cry so I don't ruin the makeup." I said. I walked out and went to the lounge.

"You look great! I'm sure Joel would be so proud of you right now!" Luke said and hugged me.
"It's our little star! I think I'm gonna cry!" Steven said. Jeremy nodded.
"Come on you guys you're grown men so act like it!" I said and gave them a hug.
"I think if it weren't for your eyes you'd be the girl version of Joel." Colton said.
"Thanks golden eyeliner." I said and gave him a hug.
"I wore it just for you." He said and smiled.
"Why don't we pray?" Ruslan suggested. We all wrapped our arms around each other and prayed.

After Everfound, Steven, Jeremy, and Colton went on it was time for us. The stage was dark so I found my place and Luke got his drum.
"Some of you may not have heard but, Joel got hurt today. He's in the hospital and we pray for God's will. Amber will be filling Joel's shoes tonight. Plus we have a special surprise at the end." Luke said as his voice echoed through the mic out into the arena. We sang all of the songs.
"Please welcome Colton Dixon! Sing without you with Amber." Luke said and left.

We walked off the stage and Luke rushed up to me.
"The hospital called Joel is awake. Hurry and change and we'll go see him." He said. I went and put on a random t-shirt, grey skinny jeans, and navy blue Toms. I left my hair and rushed out. Ben, Jake, and Luke all stood their.
"We have to come back after it's over and do a meet and greet thing. We have about an hour." Luke said.
