Dear Alena's Diary,
     Hi. Umm...I've never kept a diary so I'm not sure what to say. I guess I'll just try to do what Alena did. Umm...I'm Melissa...Alena's sister. Do people really write out the dot dot dots? Sorry I'm getting side tracked. I should explain why I'm writing this entry in Alena's diary and not Alena. *sigh* (seriously though I have no idea what I'm supposed to put in here like do I add sounds too?) Anyway back to my agenda, I get easily distracted especially when I'm nervous, so sorry about that.
Okay, so let me start with Alena's last few unfinished diary entries and then I'll fill in the gaps.
    
Dear Diary,
We are already half way to my sixteenth birthday! After the incident with Vena, I called my parents to let them know that I was okay and going to be home soon. I had Ben drive me back home, but I told him I had to explain by myself...I owed them that much. I mean can you imagine their daughter showing up after days of no contact; let alone with a boy they've never met? That would be a very bad idea.
     Thankfully, they didn't think I was crazy. They had a lot of questions, but they believed me and I was so relieved. Without their support I would have been devastated. They're the only family that this face has known, so they mean the world to me. (Yes even my very ANNOYING sister. She helped calm mom and dad down when I got home. She really missed me. I think this whole ordeal has brought us closer than we have ever been.)
I spend most my days after school at Elie's playing with Sarah and hanging out with Ben. Valentine's Day passed last week and Ben bought me chocolates. It was really romantic and they tasted really good!
Everything seems to be going great, but I'm still worried about Vena coming back to kill me. Right now Ben and I are on our way to the movies. Elie is driving us there and then she's going to pick us up after it's over.
We're just driving past all the stores in the area, almost to the theater...omg someone just walked out into the middle of the road! I yelled "STOP!" as soon as I saw her and thankfully Elie slammed on the breaks just in time. "Where did she come from?" She asks. She pulls to the side of the road so that we don't get in a wreck and so we can calm down.
Elie then rolls down the window to talk with the lady, but when she looks up the lady is gone. "Where did she go?" Ben asks. Elie and I both shrug our shoulders and look around completely confused. "I don't know." Elie says and then she starts the car again. Something still felt  weird about it though; for just a second I could have sworn she was trying to kill us.

Dear Diary,
     Today is the day before my birthday and I'm very excited. Ben just asked me on another date. Right now we are just walking around town for a little bit.

Now we are at the town park and have stopped to set up. He has everything set for our picnic, the blanket, the basket of food, and the drinks.
There's a movie playing in the park to night, it's Titanic one of my favorite movies ever. The sky is pitch black and the stars are out. It's gorgeous; I wish that this moment could last forever. It feels like it's just Ben and me sitting here looking at the stars in the night sky.
Well almost just us, my sister tagged along with her new boyfriend too, but they're not sitting super close to us. So it still feels like it's just Ben and I.

This is where Alena stops writing. As she said I was sitting close by so I'll try to fill in as much of the evening as I remember.

     "Would you like a chocolate covered strawberry?" Ben asks making Alena smile from ear to ear.  "Of cour-" VOOSH! I turn my head, but nothing is there, only Alena and Ben, but the noise also caught Alena's attention. "Everything okay?" Ben asks. Alena nods, "Yeah, sorry I just thought I heard something." She says...

I know what you are thinking, why are we out, unprotected on the night that Vena said she would kill Alena? Well, we thought we were safe. About two months ago Alena got a note from Vena. Here is what it said:
Dear Alena and friends,
I can not wait till Alena's birthday anymore. I want to end her once and for all! If Alena does not come alone to 2357 Applewood Road at 8:00 pm tomorrow, then I will be forced to start picking off her human friends one by one. You have been warned!

Of course we didn't let her go alone. When we arrived we found Vena waiting, or at least we thought she was Vena. We had no reason to believe that she wasn't Vena. We took her down quickly and shot her dead when she tried to attack Alena.
Three days later we got another note from Vena:
Dear Alena and friends,
you may have gotten away this time, but only because I was not fully at my strength. I shall wait until Alena is seventeen now before I strike again. This time I will have full strength and I will defeat you all!

It was so easy to believe. We had no reason to question if the woman we killed was actually Vena or not. Well not until after tonight anyway. Let me continue explaining the rest of the night...

     "Well, that's because you did my dear." A lady walks over and announces. I stare at her for a second questioning if I know her or not; Alena does the same.
"I'm sorry, but do we know you? You seem awfully familiar." Ben asks and Alena gasps, I guess she recognizes the lady too, but I am still wondering who in the world this chick is and why she is talking to my sister. "Wait a minute." Alena exclaims, realizing who the women is. "You're that lady! The one that ran out in front of our car that day, aren't you?" She says almost sounding worrisome. By this point my date and I are both concerned and closely watching my sister with Ben.
"Well yes, I am, but trust me you know me from another place as well. It might be hard to remember because I looked very different back then; and also you probably think you killed me and weakened me, but oh! My sweet dear you are so very wrong. Here, maybe this will jog your memory." She pulls something out from her pocket and steps closer to Alena. It's so dark now that I can't tell what it is that she is holding.
Then she shoves the object strait into Alena's chest, no her heart. I don't even have a second to react, it just happens, and then I scream. I saw all of it, and now my head replays it in slow motion. The tip of the blade slowly making its way through her body and my heart speeding up its pace as I cry out terrified for my sister. I  watch as she starts to cough up blood and my vision blurs from tears. She gasps for air, but fails and continues to cough and choke on her own blood.
In the corner of my eye I can see Ben lunge at who I now know is Vena. I also see her get away, leaving Ben with my little sister, dying in his arms.

Oh why did we have to let our guards down? Why did we believe her tricks?! We all thought we would be safe, we hadn't even thought about Vena for the past few weeks. That's what we get for thinking were safe I guess. It's just not fair!

"I will find you. I will always find you." Ben whispers shouts in to my sister's ear as she gradually loses the last bit of energy in her and dies. She stops breathing right in his arms. My boyfriend had called the cops when Vena first attacked, but the ambulance was too slow, they didn't make in time to save her.

The next day the body that we shot, thinking it was Vena, turned up on the news. Vena had hid the body this whole time, and now she brought it out to mock us. The lady was an actor, hired by Vena to trick us all. She was given he roll of a crazy person out for revenge and told to pretend to attack Alena when we arrived.
The letters, the lady we shot, the whole "I'm too weak" act, it was all just a distraction to make us feel safe and let our guards down. I wish we could have helped Alena. I wish I knew who she regenerated into.
I'm sorry I failed you as a big sister Alena, I'm so very sorry.
