It's been a while

Hasn't it?

Sorry I've been gone.

I lost my direction for a while.

And I don't have it back yet.

I've been working on other projects, other ideas, and most importantly: My mental health.

I wasn't in a good place. I believed I was, hence why I overcommitted. Took on too many ideas. Couldn't keep up with my own desire. And this book suffered.

I am truly sorry.

Now, this may sound like I'm quitting. Giving up.

I'm not. I'll probably still be on break for a while. I am mostly posting oneshots on my ao3 account by the same name, if you want to see stuff I've written recently.

But I promise I'll finish this book as soon as I can.

Most of you in the comments got white figure number one correct: 404 is indeed the first white figure I mentioned.

Cross wasn't the missing one on the shipping council. He's just channeling his inner swap sans every time he vibrates.

The second white figure is unknown as of right now. I'm amazed nobody has gotten it.

Anyways.

The book is kinda at a tipping point for me and my writing style.

It's not quite there, but almost. Heh, see what I did there.

Usually by chapter 15 I ramp everything up big time so I finish by 20 chapters.

So I have a couple questions for any of the readers still interested in this.

Should I try to make it longer than 20 by adding in crack ideas or asks?

Or should I begin ramping up the plot?

And secondly.

When I began this, I intended to end it on a bittersweet note. Something would happen which would be some amount of happy and sad.

However.

I'm debating whether I should keep things as they are and go the path I planned.

Or if I should do one of a few happier story endings?

However, do be aware, I don't have any prewritten chapters for this book.

At least, I don't think I do. I think if I remember correctly, Chapter 14, I have a paragraph in and nothing else, because I was just struggling at the time with writing in general and this in particular.

I love the FGoD Trope so much. But this book is doing me no favors.

I'll probably remain on book leave for a little while longer, but do tell me:

1. 20 chapters max or would you like to see a slightly longer but maybe more...crackficky 25 or stretching it 30 chapters?

And

2. Would you like me to keep the bittersweet ending I planned initially, or go with a more happy ending?

I don't want another fic where I dread what I've produced for the ending.

Trust me, there's too many of those on my list of creations.
