10 Years Ago..........

~Apollo's p.o.v~

I fell back onto the ground as I looked up at what was before me.

"M-Mommy?"

The flame covered monster looked down at me and reached for me. It tried to speak, but all I could hear was groaning.

I was shaking and in tears as it black hands reached for me.

"Apollo!", I look up and see my dad running towards me

I was picked up by my dad as he quickly took me away from her.

Before she was out of my field of vision, I see people in bright blue going towards her.

"MOMMY!!"

~Mini Timeskip~

~Apollo's p.o.v~

I watched the fire fighters put out the flames of our home as I watched one of them talk to my dad. I dried my tears and clutched the fire blanket tightly.

"Mom is gone.... Its all your fault.."

I jumped and looked up to see my older twin sisters, Umi and Ume.

"W-What?"

"This is all your fault! You and stupid fire powers caused mom to become that monster!", Umi growled out as she looked at me.

Her and Ume's eyes only had pure hate and anger in them.

"I didn't do this! This was an accid--!" I was slapped by Ume hard. I fell on the ground while holding my red cheek with tears falling.

"SHUT UP YOU BRAT! NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF YOU WEREN'T BORN!"

"GIRLS STOP THIS NOW!"

~Kosuke's p.o.v~

I thanked the fire soldiers for getting me and my girls to safety. I don't know how this happened to Maia, but I know she is at peace.

I looked over to our home which was now burned and wet from the water.

Seeing this wasn't as bad as what I heard next.

"I didn't do this! This was an accid--!"

I looked over to see Ume and Umi towering over Apollo as she was on the ground holding her cheek and crying.

"SHUT UP YOU BRAT! NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF WEREN'T BORN!"

I couldn't believe what I heard Umi just said. I rushed over to the girls.

"GIRLS STOP THIS NOW!"

I picked up Apollo who clung to me tightly.

"Ume! Umi! Why would say such awful things to your sister?! None of this is her fault. I never want either of you to blame her for something like this do you understand me!?"

"Yes dad." I heard both of them say while still giving a hate-filled look to Apollo.

I looked down at my youngest as she looked up at me.

She had tears in her eyes and a red slap mark on her cheek.

"Apollo none of this is your fault... Understand?"

"Mmm-hmm.", she sniffles softly as I take her over to the ambulance to get her red cheek taken care of.

~Timeskip to the Present~

~Apollo's p.o.v~

That day played on repeat in my head as I was driven to my destination. I watched people and buildings whip by as the car I was in drove past.

I had graduated from Company 4's Academy at the top of my class with the amazing powers I have..

"Here we are, miss. Special Fire Force Company 8. Umm miss?"

I looked up and thanked the driver as I got out with my bag. Once I had everything, I watched the car drive off.

"Company 8 huh? Well dad said that starting new adventures lead to friends and new experiences.. I hope he's right.." I said softly as I walked up to the door to knock.

I took a step back as I see the door open to reveal a very muscular man and a woman with bright green eyes and piercings

~Obi's p.o.v~

I had just finished a work out as I walked to the front entrance my of catherdral.

As I walked, I looked at the file of my newest recruit.

"Hey, Obi. Is the new girl here yet?"

I looked over to see Carter, another new soldier I gained a few months ago.

"She should be arriving right about", I hear a knock on the door. "Now."

I walked over to open the door with Carter behind me. I walked out to see my newest soldier.

"Apollo Ogawa, right? Welcome to Company 8!" I hear Carter shout happily to her.

"Thank you." She bowed to us both as I picked up her bag, but she quickly declined the help.

"S-Sorry, sir. I can handle it."

I raised an eyebrown, but shrugged it off before bringing her and Carter inside.

I start showing her around the cathedral and introducing her to her fellow crewmates.

I didn't notice her stop when she sees the stained glass windows.

~Carter's p.o.v~

I listened to the captain drone on about our building which I found boring.

I started to zone out until I saw the new girl stop at our church. I quickly go after her then walked up next to her as she stared at the stain glass windows.

"The seven angels ascend to heaven and the infernals stay behind to burn..."

I glanced over to the newbie then my smile disappered as I see her glossed eyes and tears on her cheeks.

"Apollo?" I reached over to touch her shoulder, but pulled back when I see none tails made of fire emerge from her along with fox ears on her head.

~Apollo's p.o.v~

I looked around the place as I see it was run down, but it had character.

I stopped in my tracks when I see the stain glass.

I see the angels going up towards the heavens while the infernals stayed on the ground and burned up.

It started up again....

"MOMMY!!"

"This is all your fault! You killed mom you freak!"

"Did you guys hear about Apollo? Her powers killed her mom and almost killed  her whole family.."

"Man she really is a freak."

"Yeah.."

Hearing all those voices along with the words that they said caused my eyes to water. I felt teats stream down my face as I felt a hand touch my shoulder.

"Apollo?"

I drowned out Carter's voice as my flames soon ignited. My nine tails and ears appeared on me as I looked over to her.

"H-Hey hun... Calm down its okay.."

I watched her try to help me calm down as my flames grew, but they didn't burn anything they touched.

My flames soon went away before the captain and luteniant rushed in ad I looked up at Carter.

"Its okay hun.. Everything's okay.." I watched her offer me her hand which I took as I stood up.

"Thank you Carter...."

"No problem hun... We're part of this big family.. And family looks out for each other.."

I smiled at her and nodded.

~Later the Night~

~No one's p.o.v~

Apollo had gotten to know all her crew mates and had finally felt like she was part of a family once again.

She finally had met girls who accepted her and she knew Carter would be a sister to her.

She and Shinra hit it off pretty quick and she's still iffy with Arthur.

However there was someone watching her from afar as they had confirmed their findings.

"Its her alright.. She has a hidden power that was given to her by the Evangelist themselves."

"When do we get to grab her and have her serve the Evangelist, Haumea?"

She looked over to Charon and smirked. "We will pick up the fox very soon, Charon.. We just have to wait for her to awaken her powers.."

We have experienced some of Apollo's life and the death of her mother. We also have Apollo join her Company and begin to feel like herself.... But why does Charon and Haumea want with Apollo? Find out in the next chapter!
