~Apollo's p.o.v~

Today I was getting an official tour of the cathedral. I followed Carter as she gave the tour.

"Man, I'm glad you're finally here, Apollo! We've all been waiting for you ever since Obi told us about you." Carter said happily as she brings me to the roof where I see a blonde haired boy and a boy with red eyes and sharp teeth fighting.

"You will be brought down swiftly by my sword, Devil!"

"I'd like to see you try!"

"Guys! Put your fight aside and come say hello to our newest soldier!"

Both immediately stopped and looked over to them as they see a new face.

~Shinra's p.o.v~

I looked over to the new girl and my nervous grin appeared on my face. I walked up to her and extended a hand.

"Hello,  I'm Shinra Kusakabe! It's nice to meet you..?"

I watched her shake my hand back and smiled.

"Apollo. My name is Apollo Ogawa and it's nice to meet you Shinra."

I smiled at Apollo until I was pushed aside by Arthur.

"What the hell, Arthur!?"

"Hush, Devil! You are the lady who was named after a sun god.. You must have a special power! My name is Arthur Boyle also known as the Knight King. It is an honor to meet you." 

I rolled my eyes at the idiot as he kisses Apollo's hand before getting up.

I blushed a bit when Carter wraps an arm around my neck.

"Yeah these two are always fighting each other. You'll get used to it, Apollo." I heard Carter say as she gives me a noogie.

"Thank you for the heads-up, Carter. It was nice meeting you two." Apollo said as we smiled at her.

I waved goodbye as I watched the two leave.

~Carter's p.o.v~

"You've met Obi, Hinawa, Shinra, and Arthur. Now you're meeting the girls of our team." I smiled and lead Apollo to the room.

We walk in and see Iris, Maki, and Tamaki in the office where they are looking at a menu from a local cafe.

"Hey guys, come meet Apollo!"

I moved out of the way when Tamaki rushes over first.

~Tamaki's p.o.v~

I looked at the delicious sweets from the cafe until I heard Carter.

"Hey guys, come meet Apollo!"

I rushed over to her and smiled.

"Hello! My name is Tamaki Kotatsu. Its so nice to meet you, Apollo! That is Iris and Maki!" I pointed to both girls as they waved.

"Its nice to meet you Tamaki." I smiled as Apollo smiles back at me.

I looked up at her poofy hair and tilted my head. I wanted to reach up and touch it, bur I didn't want to be rude.

She giggled and smiled. "You can touch it, Tamaki. I give you my permission."

I thanked her before I touched her left poof bun.

"Its so soft and poofy!"

~Apollo's p.o.v~

I giggled and watched the cat girl touch my hair. I've always had this poofy hair ever since I was a kid. I had trouble keeping it up , but over the years, I figured out how to manage it.

"Um excuse me?" I looked down to see a blonde haired girl who was shy.

I turned towards her and smiled as I see how small and cute she is.

"Hello. My name is Iris. It's nice to meet you, Apollo. I really like your hair." She smiles shyly at me as I smiled back at her.

"Thank you very much, Iris. It's nice to meet you too."

~Later the Night~

~No One's p.o.v~

Soon Apollo had gotten to know everyone on the team and developed some new friendships.

The alarm goes off and everyone starts to get suit up for the mission. Once everyone was ready and in the truck, they head off to the area.

Obi explains the situation to his newbies and Hinawa drives the group. While he explained to them, Apollo looked out the window to see that the area was very familiar.

Apollo held her breath as she looked at her old home and people outside of the complex.

~Apollo's p.o.v~

I looked at the complex and quickly ran inside with everyone following me.

I stopped when I saw my dad sitting at the table. He had become an infernal...

Everyone stopped and watched until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"We can take care of this for you, Apollo... You can wait outside.." I heard Obi say as I looked at him.

"Please let me put him to rest, Captain."

He nodded and stepped back with the others as I walked up to my dad.

"Hi dad.." I wiped away my tears as he looked over to her.

All I could hear was a raspy voice, but I could hear him say my nickname.

Before I started the prayer, he placed something on my hand and closed it before pulling away.

I started the prayer as I placed my hand on his chest with my flame ears and tail appearing on me.

Before I landed the blow, I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

I whispered softly to him, "I love you papa..."

I landed the fatal blow through his heart as  watched him die peacefully and turn to ash as I dried my tears away.

I opened my hand to see my parents wedding rings in my hand. I felt more tears fall as I looked

~Obi's p.o.v~

I watched with the others as I felt ultimate sadness for her. After watching her put her own father to rest, I walked up to her.

"Apo-- Whoa!"

I felt her hug me tightly as she cried softly into my chest. I hold her close as I rubbed her back and let her cry.

Apollo has had to out her own father to rest and her friends rally around her to comfort her. What will happen now that she has to face the world with her only family member gone forever? Find out in the next chapter!
