NEW ORLEANS
"COME ON," ELLIOTT insists as he kisses down the neck of a caramel skinned witch in a hotel's coat check room. "Just give me something."
"I don't know anything," the girl shakes her head firmly. In truth, she does know something, but she wants to make him work for it. He continues to kiss down her chest, only to abruptly pull away teasingly.
"Okay. There's one witch. Mambo Michele Marie Le Fleur. She's the Priestess of High Haiti, daughter of the Tiano people. She's faithful to the Guinee. One of the real deal voodoo witches."
"I knew you had something that could be of use to me," Elliott grins cheekily at her, straightening up as she smirks.
"I just wanted you to work for it."
He closes the gap between them, pressing his lips to hers eagerly. However, he grows annoyed once the door swings open to reveal his sister. Selene clears her throat as Elliott greets his sister. "Hello, Selene."
"Elliott," Selene smiles at her brother fondly. "Are you done with... whatever this is?"
She motions between the half naked pair with an amused expression, knowing that despite the fact that he's only doing this for information, he's enjoying it.
Elliott nods, retrieving his shirt and pulling it on. He gives the witch one more peck on the cheek before leaving with his sister. He frowns at her. "Couldn't you of given me a little more time? I was enjoying myself."
"You can do whatever you want with whoever you want once we finish our mission," Selene counters, referring to their mission to find her father, save Nick, and restore their mother's memories.
They left Greendale a little over a month ago and have yet to achieve any of those things. Her father has been eluding them by cloaking himself and the babies. Nick is still suffering in Hell. Selene and Elliott tracked down their mother, Emilia, but haven't been able to get back her memories yet. Selene and Elliott followed a clue to New Orleans, Quinn and Louna are working on Emilia's problem, and Ambrose and Prudence are across the world following their own lead.
Selene misses Ambrose, but she blames herself for the situation she's in. She broke up with him after everything that happened with Nick, because every time she looked at him, she couldn't help but think of Nick. That lead to the guilt overtaking her mind. She knows she can't do what she needs to do if she's constantly in pain. So she ended things with him so she could focus.
"So did you find something that could be of use to us or were you too busy having your tongue down her throat, brother?" Selene questions, giving her brother an amused look.
"I think I found a lead," Elliott declares before googling the witch that they're looking for.
He drives them farther into the French Quarter before parking their car in front of a voodoo shop. The siblings enter, only for Selene to look around in distaste.
The shop is covered in knick knacks that would amaze a mundane, but Selene knows none of it is real magic. "Well, this place is... interesting. Are you sure about this, El?"
Elliott opens his mouth to answer, only for a dark skinned woman to enter the room. He gives her a two fingered wave before introducing himself. "Hi. I'm Elliott. This is my sister, Selene. We'd like to do a reading."
"Do you want tarot, tea leaves, or chicken feet?" the woman looks over her belongings, not particularly interested in the siblings.
"No... we don't want any of that mundie stuff. We want the real deal," Elliott clarifies, narrowing his eyes at her. "You are the real deal, aren't you? Marie?"
This peaks the LeFleur woman's attention, so she turns to them daringly. "Yes. I don't do none of this watered-down New Orleans voodoo hoodoo bullshit. This is a Haitian house... and the vodou practice in this house, mon chéri... is a way of life."
The pair remain silent as she continues with a thick accent. "You two are New England witches, eh? Powerful ones. What is it you seek?"
"We want to find someone," Selene speaks up, a tone of pure anger and hate finding its way to her voice. Her resent for her father has only grown as she's hunted him this past month. "He screwed us over. Betrayed us and we want him to pay for it."
"He could be anywhere," Elliott quips, hating the man just as much, if not more than Selene. "He's cloaked himself against our magic, but I doubt he'd think to worry about someone tracking him using voodoo magic."
Marie clicks her tongue, flicking through her grimoire to find a spell that could be of use to them. "You will need a world map and something of this man... hair, clothes, a photo."
"His blood could work, right?" Selene responds, matching the woman's smirk. "I have his blood running through my veins."
Marie chuckles, nodding at the girl. "That will do."

A few hours later, Selene and Elliott sit before a world map. Burning candles hold the map in place as Selene looks to her brother curiously. "Have you ever practiced blood magic?"
"Once or twice. It's addictive. Dangerous," Elliott explains, knowing just how the dark this type of magic can be. He pulls some herbs out of his bag before looking at his sister questioningly. "Are you sure you wanna do this?"
"Absolutely," Selene answers with a nod. At this point, she's willing to do just about anything to find her father.
Elliott pulls a box out of his bag before removing the rat Marie gave him to sacrifice for the spell. He takes it in his hands before snapping its neck. Selene watches the action with a frown as she drops some herbs onto the map. Elliott pulls out the two knives Marie gave them, handing one to his sister. Elliott then slices down the rat's body with his knife, allowing its blood to drip onto where the herbs lay.
Selene uses the knife Marie gave her to cut into her hand, letting the blood drop onto the map. The wind outside picks up as Selene and Elliott join hands and close their eyes. Their hands glow white as they start the spell. "Inveniet hostium et tenebrae. Inveniet hostium et tenebrae. Inveniet hostium et tenebrae."
Once they're done, they open their eyes and find that the blood is moving up the map. It finds its way to Loch Ness, Scotland. "Why is he in Loch Ness, Scotland of all places?"
Selene shrugs, not knowing why either. She picks up her phone and texts Prudence since her and Ambrose are already in Europe. She sends the text, only to get a gut feeling she hasn't felt since leaving Greendale.
Sabrina is in trouble, the Blackwood girl thinks before turning to her brother. She heaves a sigh. "Looks like we're going back to Greendale."
