Two
Their duel would have been a long one had their Potions Teacher Madame Curie not appear right at the beginning, her coal-black hair in a professional low bun and her impeccable silver robes clear of any stain. Bringing the three students' attention to her by charming the fencing swords to fly to her, her dark eyes glaring at the three, more particularly who had been tasked with bringing the two girls to the Headmistress.
"La directrice n'aime pas attendre les enfants, comme vous le savez tous très bien." She said in a frigid tone, Timothée went completely pink at her words, while the girls nodded, Fleur quickly standing up, holding the books with one hand and flattening the creased that had formed on her uniform with her other hand.
"Nous nous dirigions directement là-bas, Madame Curie." Rory smiled at the Potions teacher, a sweet smile that like all the times that she smiled it made the teacher shake her head slightly as her own smile grew on her face, it was truly a contagious smile. "Bien sûr, vous étiez Mademoiselle Velaris." Madame Curie claimed, sending the trio one more look, attempting to hide her smile before she turned back around and walked inside the school.
"Je jure Rory, les professeurs sont tous sous ton charme, enroulés autour de ton petit doigt." Timothée muttered, raising his own pinkie as if he was stating a point, Fleur shook her head at him as they began to move towards the entrance, watching as the said girl smirked at him, silently agreeing with him.
It was very true, after nearly 7 years of schooling, Aurore Velaris had every single teacher wrapped around her finger, not that she had done much for it to happen, other than trying (and failing) to stay out of the trouble that followed her around. Even though teeny Aurore was an absolute nightmare to deal with pranking people that would mess with her and her friends or just at random before she befriended them with the sweetest smile possible.
That was how she met Timothée Valois, he had been a random person that 13-year-old Rory pranked because she thought that he was a person to have around, that and she was insanely jealous of his fencing abilities, she pranked him by drenching him in glue at the entrance of the Dining Hall, dumping flour and bright pink faux feathers on him.
Unlike most people she pranked, however, Timothée stayed like that the whole day, flaunting it every time he was near her and took revenge the following day but doing the same thing but dumping Abraxan white feathers on her, thus starting a prank war between the two before they called it quits late sixth year when Fleur got caught in the crossfire and nearly berated them to their early graves.
The walk to the Headmistress's office was a rather fast one, the office being located in the ground floor, attached to the Headmistress's private Head Quarters. Younger students from all around Europe ran past them with worried yet excited faces, telling the seventh year students that they were late for their first class of the first semester of their first year at Beauxbatons, because second year and above, no one was in quite a rush to arrive on time to the first class.
Upon arrival at the door, Rory quickly and gently knocked, her hand curled into a fist, the gold door opened by itself basking the trio in the sunlight that came from the large window on the other side of the room. The view before them was one of many students and their Headmistress sitting down, clearly waiting for them. Some of the students were in their fencing outfits, others were in their ballet clothes and about 3 were wearing their simple uniform.
"Bienvenue, viens t'asseoir. Nous étions sur le point de commencer." Headmistress Madame Maxime Olympe greeted, her dark eyes watching as the trio walked into her office and sat down on the three available chairs meant for them. "Je vous ai tous réunis ici à cause de l'annonce d'hier soir," She started, "Et comme vous devez vous être réunis, je vous ai tous choisis pour aller et essayer d'être choisi comme Champions."
Her words brought forth side glances and hushed whispers between the students she had chosen, "Quand partons-nous? " a male student, questions, "Octobre la veille d'Halloween." She told them, watching as disappointment quickly flashed through their faces, she knew why of course. The Halloween Party that was thrown in Beauxbatons was one of the most fantastical, especially because of the different nationalities the students had.
