One
Aurore Velaris sat on one of the benches of the grand Beauxbaton gardens, her best friend, Fleur Delacour laying on the said bench with her head on Aurore's lap, both them reading a book, the morning sun-soaking them both with its light making them look like angels.
"Rory?" Fleur's calm and soothing voice called out, her blue eyes moving from her book to the dark brown haired girl whose lap she was laying on, a hum being her only answer "Comment est-ce que ton garçon vit à côté, le Jeune? " her inquiry made the Velaris girl frown and carefully lower her hand, back in England, where she was born and raised for the majority of her life, she often babysat her neighbors, two boys, cousins, but she babysat them less and less as they grew up and she began to attend Beauxbatons.
"Je pense qu'il va bien. Pourquoi demandez-vous? " She replied, her stormy blue eyes peering down to the blonde girl, "Vous ne l'avez pas mentionné à votre arrivée, je craignais que quelque chose ne soit arrivé." Fleur replied, watching as an easy smile etched on her friend's lips and she shook her head. "Il est parti en camping avec ses amis vers la fin de l'été donc je n'ai pas de bonnes nouvelles." She explained.
The blonde nodded and turned back to her book, "J'espère qu'il n'a pas eu de problèmes." Rory claimed absentmindedly, another frown settling on her face as she thought about it, truly she hadn't given it much though considering the fact that she had homework to do and shopping for more school supplies. Fleur sat up, elegantly swinging her legs over the side and looking at her best friend properly, "Est-ce un garçon gênant? " she questioned, intrigue and worry coating her words, "Non." Rory replied, shaking her head, the frown never leaving her face, "Le problème semble simplement le suivre."
A small laugh left Fleur's lips, bringing Aurore's attention back to her, the frown deepening for a moment before it completely disappeared from her face and she rolled her eyes, "Il doit alors être la version masculine de vous." Fleur teased, her blue eyes shining in the sun, "Il n'est pas comme moi. Du moins j'espère que non." Rory countered, finally closing the book that had been forgotten in her hand.
Suddenly, interrupting their little moment, a tall, slim boy dressed in a fancy fencing outfit, with golden hair shinning in the light, approached, them, his blue eyes shining with happiness as he reached them, "Mademoiselles, la directrice a demandé votre présence à une réunion." he told them, his voice breathless and teasing, something that had the two girls rolling their eyes at him, "Timothée." the two greeted.
"Mademoiselles." he replied in a mocking tone that had Aurore kicking out her leg to kick him in the knee, something that he quickly deflected by using his fencing sword. "Vous devez plus vite que cela pour me vaincre au combat." Timothée Valois teased the dark-haired girl, an easy smile etching on his lips as he did so.
"Je peux facilement vous vaincre dans n'importe quel combat que je veux." Rory replied, standing up and pulling her wand out of her baby blue silk coat and pointing it at the fencing sword, quickly giving it a small flick before a sword identical to the one Timothée carried flew into her free hand. Fleur smiled at the two's antics before shaking her head and grabbing the book that Aurore had dropped when she stood.
"Magie non verbale, Miss Velaris bien jouée." Timothée smirked, expecting Aurore to waist until her want was out of harm's way before attacking, something that she shockingly did, "Merci monsieur Valois." she replied teasingly, dipping to a gentle and soft curtsy, her stormy eyes watching as Timothée bowed, the said boy being the first to strike at her, or rather attempting to because Rory quickly deflected his sword.
