as they drove Will noticed something bugging him in the back of his mind, like a pull. it wasn't his energy, but it was familiar. Ironhide immediately noticed the change in the man.

"Will?" Ironhide ask.

"I feel something." Will muttered.

"like what?" Ironhide ask.

"it feels like... like when CD or one of the other robots on base is close... like theres an Earth electronic somewhere. I can feel it." Will muttered. Ironhide gave a scan.

"great." Ironhide muttered.

"Hide?" Will ask.

"Barricade." Ironhide grumbled. the Con was coming up fast on his bumper. when the Con got close, Ironhide threw his driver side door open, tossed Will out, and transformed in one quick move. he tackled Barricade hard as the other mech transformed as well.

"Frenzy!" Barricade hissed, his chest compartment popping open. the little creature immediately jumped at Ironhide and the weapons specialist threw him off, firing his cannon up. he fired at Barricade, before punching him. Will yelped scrambling out of the way as Frenzy jumped at Ironhide, attacking his leg. Ironhide kicked Frenzy off.

"frag off you little-" Ironhide said, pointing his cannon at Frenzy.

"Ironhide no!" Will shouted. a blast of energy knocked Ironhides cannon out of the way. he growled and pointed it at Frenzy, but Will appeared out of no where, arms out, and standing in front of the little bot protectively.

"what are you doing!? move!" Ironhide shouted. he tried to point his cannon around Will, but he was unforgiving. he stood protectively in front of the little bot. Barricade was honestly confused, but he growled and glared at Frenzy.

"deal with the human! I'll deal with the Autobot!" Barricade ordered. Frenzy seemed oddly hesitant.

"uh..." Frenzy said. the little Con cuddled to Will and hugged his leg. Ironhide watched a moment before groaning.

"you've got to be fragging kidding me." Ironhide muttered. Will shot him a dirty look, patting Frenzy's head, much like he would CD's.

"what are you doing!?" Barricade growled, pointing his gun at Will. the mans protoform took over, he knew Ironhide wouldn't hurt him, but Barricade was a different story. "Frenzy! attack the human!" Barricade growled.

"he's not going to." Ironhide grumbled.

"yes he will!" Barricade hissed at Ironhide.

"no he won't." Will said calmly. he turned to Ironhide. "for some reason my energy is reading him as an Earth device. I don't know why, but I won't let you hurt him." Will glared. now the bigger Con was utterly confused.

"what in Pits is going on?!" Barricade hissed looking at Ironhide. Ironhide didn't answer for a moment before sighing, the Con was too confused to attack either of them at the moment anyway.

"his energy brings Earth based electronics to life. they form a sort of bond with him, almost like sparkling and creators, but not quiet that. if  his energy forms a bond with something, he won't let anyone hurt it." Ironhide grumbled.

"impossible! Frenzy isn't a fragging piece of disgusting squishy technology!" Barricade growled.

"no but, he is a radio." Will said. "when he transforms he's a small Earth made device.... the Allspark energy must not be able to tell the difference....." Will trailed, looking down at Frenzy. he scooped up the little Decepticon, who cuddled to his chest immediately. Will patted his head gently and little Con purred contently. Barricade stared slack jawed before he scold.

"Frenzy return!" Barricade growled. the little Con paid him no mind. Will rolled his eye's.

"he won't listen to you." Ironhide muttered. "not while Wills here." Ironhide added. Will chuckled slightly and muttered something to the little Con the other to couldn't hear. immediately Frenzy returned to Barricades glove compartment without a word.

"can we go now?" Will ask, looking at Ironhide. the black and white Decepticon retreated, confused out of his processor. Ironhide nodded and transformed back down. he was a little irritable there hadn't been a fight, but Barricade's confusion made it worth it. it was amusing to the Topkick.

"so that puts Frenzy on your side... probably Rumble, Ravage, and Lazerbeak as well." Ironhide said.

"whats that mean?" Will ask.

"all the cassetticons won't be a danger to you and would most likely protect you if the Decepticons tried to attack you." Ironhide said. Will nodded.

"he tracked my energy didn't he? so I can't go home." Will ask.

"I'm afraid so." Ironhide frowned. "but Bumblebee's on his way back with Sam and your computer." Ironhide said. Will nodded. "Will how'd you throw that energy blast at me?" Ironhide ask. Will frowned slightly.

"I... I don't really know. I just got angry that you were going to blow him up." Will said. "but the Allspark said thats normal." Will added.

"so your powers really only seem to activate when you're in danger.... no wonder you can't practice with me. you know I won't hurt you." Ironhide grumbled. Will nodded slightly. "I'll find someone else to train you. someone who won't hold back." Ironhide smirked. Will groaned quietly.

"find someone I don't like so I'm not upset when I hurt them." Will said.

"okay." Ironhide smirked. "you do have control of your protoform right?" Ironhide ask. Will nodded letting his protoform take over.

"for the most part. I still can't convince it that Ratchet is safe." Will frowned.

"you'll get there." Ironhide said. Will nodded dropping his protoform. he leaned against Ironhides window as the mech drove him back to the base.

Optimus looked confused as they rolled up.

"I thought you were going to go home for a bit?" Optimus ask.

"Barricade attacked us because my energy levels shot back up." Will mumbled, climbing out. Ironhide transformed.

"I need you to train Will." Ironhide said abruptly. Optimus' optic ridges shut up in surprise.

"what?" Optimus ask.

"he can't use his energy unless he thinks he's in danger. he knows I can't put him in danger." Ironhide said. Optimus seemed unsure.

"I don't think thats a good idea." Optimus frowned.

"he won't work Hide, I need someone who won't be afraid to fight me, but won't kill me." Will said.

"thats why I chose Optimus." Ironhide said. Will frowned slightly.

"I'm thinking Jazz." Will said, looking up at the two. Ironhide raised an optic ridge, looking at Optimus, the two communicating quietly. "I have a point." Will said.

"you do." Ironhide grumbled. "I'll ask the little slagger if he's up to it." Ironhide muttered. Will nodded at him.

"cool." Will smiled and headed into the base. he seemed surprised to see Sam on the couch. "uh.... I thought Bumblebee was bringing you back here." Will said.

"he did. Ironhide gave Bumblebee word that he had Barricade handled and to just get me back to the base. we made it before you guys, you know Bumblebee doesn't hold back on his speed out here." Sam chuckled. Will nodded in agreement and sat on the couch beside him.

"what are you watching?" Will ask.

"Avatar the last air bender. he kinda reminds me of you, with all your powers." Sam chuckled. Will frowned slightly and watched the show, but found he did have to agree with Sam.

"I bet I could learn the technique for my powers." Will mumbled. Sam looked over.

"wait are you serious? cause I was just picking on you." Sam said. Will nodded and got up, shrugging.

"what can it hurt?" he ask ask. he watched the screen a moment. "whats that?" Will ask.

"thats Toph, she's Earth bending." Sam explained. Will watched the character teaching another. "she's helping Aang." Sam added. Will nodded slightly, watching them. he tilted his head to the side, maybe he could do something like that. he mentally shrugged, deciding it couldn't hurt to try, and copied the movements he'd seen the young girl do. immediately the floor broke apart and a chunk floated in the air, surrounded in a blue glow. the glow reminded him of the chair he'd accidentally dragged back up field. "holy shit Will! thats so cool!" Sam exclaimed. "do something with it!" he added. Will stared at the chunk of concrete.

"l-like what!? I didn't actually expect this shit to work! I was just horsing around!" Will hissed.

"kick it like Toph did!" Sam grinned.

"in the base are you nuts?!" Will hissed. "what if I hit someone!?" Will hissed.

"whats all the shouting?" Ironhide ask as he and Optimus walked in, Bumblebee followed not far behind worried for his charge. all three stared in surprise.

"Will's Earth bending!" Sam cheered.

"Earth bending?" Ironhide grumbled, looking it up.

"u-uh what do I do with it?" Will ask.

"can you just, put it back down?" Optimus ask.

"are you joking? last time I put something down, it was a chair and it fell on Sunstreaker." Will said. Optimus frowned slightly.

"well it can't hurt to try Will. just try and put it back." Ironhide said.

"Sam are you watching Avatar without me!?" Bumblebee cried horrified.

"just some rerun episodes. I promise." Sam assured. Bumblebee nodded slightly. Will stared horrified at the chunk of Earth floating above the floor, then it dropped. the temperature seemed to drop around Will and his guardian, something didn't seem right with the two immediately. Ironhide's optic twitched before he stumbled back, reaching an arm out to brace himself against the wall. he was suddenly getting all kinds of warnings.

"Ironhide?" Bumblebee ask worriedly, watching the weapons specialist. Ironhide mumbled something that sounds like he was trying to tell them something was wrong, then dropped and Optimus was quick to catch him. Will dropped a second later, but his body was shaking violently. "we need a human medic." Bumblebee said, looking at Optimus.

"I've already called for Ratchet and warned him." Optimus said. Ratchet came running in and stopped beside Ironhide, kneeling beside him. he knew he probably wouldn't be able to touch Will so Ironhide was his main priority.

"whats happening?" Sam ask, hesitantly.

"it looks like Will is having a seizure." Ratchet grumbled. "and it's affecting Ironhide. he's basically having the Cybertronian equivalent of a seizure." Ratchet explained.

"but why are they having them?" Sam ask.

"Ironhide is reacting to Will. I'm not sure why Will is having one and I don't think I'll even be able to touch him without getting the frag shocked out of me." Ratchet said. Sam looked confused.

"why is Ironhide reacting to Will?" Sam ask looking at Bumblebee. the scout looked just as confused as him.

"because they're bondmates now shut up!" Ratchet snapped. "Prime get Ironhide to the medbay, I'm going to see if I can get Will there myself." Ratchet said. Optimus nodded at him and started moving Ironhide to the medbay. "okay Will come on now." Ratchet mumbled, reaching for the man. He was shocked immediately and pulled his servo's back. "I don't get it." Ratchet snapped.

"try with your holoform maybe?" Sam ask. Ratchet frowned but did as the teen suggested, activating his holoform and inching towards Will.

"it's okay Will. I just need to get you to the medbay." Ratchet murmured. he gently touched Will with his holoform and relaxed, scooping him up. he quickly carried the man off to the medbay with Bumblebee and Sam following not far behind. Optimus blocked the two from entering the medbay after Ratchet and shook his head at them.

"give him time to figure out whats going on and why." Optimus ordered.

"do you guys have seizures commonly?" Sam ask.

"It's not really a seizure to us. its more like a lock up." Bumblebee explained. "like when your computer freezes up on you. they're not really all that common and they don't just happen like they do with humans. thats how Ratchet knows Ironhide was just reacting to Will. Ironhide would have been able to let Ratchet know something was up with him about 24 hours in advance before he locked up. no warning means it was Will, but if they're bondmates then Ironhide still should've felt something was wrong." Bumblebee explained worriedly.

"thats another thing, how are they bondmates? Will's human." Sam said confused, looking between his guardian and the Prime.

"he's not completely human anymore Sam. he's more like an Allspark now." Bumblebee frowned.

"William is not an Allspark Bumblebee." Optimus warned. "he's a Prime that just happens to be carrying the Allspark essence inside him." Optimus corrected.

"Wills a Prime?" Sam ask shocked.

"according to what he's been told by the ancient ones and the Allspark itself, yes. he and Ironhide are bonded, Ratchet assumes because how much time they spend together not to mention the fact that Ironhide's already his guardian. their bond is one of the reasons we know he's a Prime. see Samuel, Primes have their bondmates names etched into their spark chamber." Optimus explained.

"it just stays there your whole life?" Sam ask. Optimus nodded at him.

"yes, but because Will doesn't have a spark chamber unless he's in his protoform, Ironhide's name is etched into his wrist and Will's name is etched into Ironhide's spark chamber." Optimus said.

"but, I've seen Bumblebee's name on Will before." Sam said sounding confused.

"Ratchet can explain it better to you Sam, I don't know everything about it." Optimus frowned slightly. Sam nodded a little and looked at Bumblebee.
