Eobard Thawne never hated Barry.... In fact he remained the man's biggest fan, doing everything to protect the timeline and to preserve Barry Allen as the selfless hero he knew would be. Protecting him a sa child from  Rouges who tried to prevent his legacy unintentionally inspiring him to wear different colors in the future.
