9| First Run

"What do you think you are doing!" Jumping in front of the offender. Keeping myself in between them, so he couldn't hurt Jack. Whipping the tears from my eyes giving the Alpha my death glare. I just got him back! There is no way I am ready to let him go. If glares could kill the alpha would easily be 6 ft under. Even though I was separating him from Jack Not once was his attention on me. His gold eyes burning holes in the man behind me.

"He didn't do anything." I said to him. Stepping in his view of Jack. So he had no choice but to look at me instead. Glancing at me for a split second. Then closing his eyes. As if he was trying to get control of his wolf. His eyes turning back to a brownish amber. Letting out a loud sigh. He then looks around at all the curious faces. everyone's attention on us. Wondering what was going on.

"Time for morning training." He says loudly so the entire field can hear him. Easily changing their attention else where as if he didn't just attack Jack for no reason. " I want two laps in human form. Newbies follow behind the pack and don't get lost. Memorize the route. It will be used practically every training session." Only two laps? Alright cool, this shouldn't be too hard. Trying to evaluate exactly what I should expect. And what I need to do to be on top of my game.

Instead of running around the field as I thought we would be doing. The Blood Moon pack heads toward the forest behind the training field. They also start their run with a decently fast pace instead of a slow jog. Oh shizzz. I thought to myself. This might not be as easy as I thought it would be.

As soon as the last Blood Moon runner started to take off. My pack start trailing behind. Although our pace was not nearly as fast as theirs. We were running through the forest, past the streams. Jumping over rocks and dodging trees. The forest was much more dense and slightly greener then it was at home.

"Come on slow pokes your losing your pack!" A Blood Moon member said, running towards us. She then continues to guide us along the route as she runs backwards. Not once did she fall or stumble. Knowing the Forrest like the back of her hand. Nor did she look like she was breaking a sweat. Yelling every so often telling us to get moving. We continued to run for miles. Trying my best to keep up yet I was easily becoming further and further behind from the front of my pack who was already way to far behind the Blood Moon pack. Losing sight of our guide. Which way should I g-. The sound of feet hitting the ground cutting my thoughts off. Just in time I thought to myself. They slowly became louder and louder. The Blood Moon then passes me. How fast could they possibly be?! I am still on lap one! I then pushed myself as hard as I could trying to keep up until at least the end of the lap. Luckily we were finally coming closer to the familiar landscape of the training field. Unfortunately though my leg were done. They no longer wanted to nor could they support my body. Collapsing on the ground face first. Giving me rug burn across my face as well as my knees and hands. Ah! crapity, crap, crap and peanut butter jelly! Searing pain engulfing my nerves. Man it seems like as soon as I think my week/ month or what ever these recent event time frame has been can't get any worst it does. Every single time. It never seems to fail.

As I was trying my best to stand back up. Using my hands for support as my legs start to shake. Feeling like Jell-O. A hand grabs my arm lifting me up. Sparks taking over my nerves. Temporarily stopping the small searing pain from my fall . Axel. Concern filling his brown amber eyes as he looks at my rug burns.

Snapping my arm away from him "I'm fine." My legs not agreeing with my statement. The moment my support is gone my legs are ready to collapse once more. The Alpha grabs my arm again stopping me from my fall. Allowing the pleasant feeling to come back.

"Doesn't seem like it. . ." he said moving his eyes to my shaky legs. "Mike!" He called, looking back into my eyes. Stop looking at me. Turning my head to the curious face's that surround us. Small giggles and whispering amongst themselves. Some even giving me glares as their Alpha helps me. Leaving me to give them my glare. Honesty I just wanna slap them all. I know they are mocking my pack and I inside their puny brains. "Take her to the infirmary. But this time keep her away from Percilla." his deep voice interrupting my thoughts. So was that the witches name? That's to bad. I was hoping she would have an uglier name for her ugly personality. Silent Mike then grabs my other arm giving me the support I need. I quickly yanked my arm away from Axel as soon as I could. Leaving behind the sparks.

Later my trip to the infirmary was as uneventful as ever. By the time I got to the infirmary my rug burns were healed. So they couldn't do much. They did however give me some protein pills. She mentioned how my small time in the Cells has taken away a good portion of my muscles. Hence why my legs gave out easier then they should have.

After getting back to my new prison room (as I like to call it) at the pack house I practically just laid in bed for the rest of the day. Turning on the T.V. to distract me from all the awful things.

.

.

.

*Knock, knock* Pounding on the door waking me up from nap. With only the T.V. lighting up the room. I sit up, turning my head to the window. It's dark. What time is it?

*Knock, knock* "Yeah" I said turning my attention back to the door. A small squeak coming from the door as it opens. Mike then comes walking in with a plate of food stacked so high I'm surprised it didn't fall off the plate. He walks over to me handing the plate to me. Dinner? Really?

"Thanks but no thanks I'm not hungry. . ." He then looks at me and pushes the plate at me again. "Seriously I'm not going to eat it. If you insist on me taking it I'm going to throw it out the window." He then gives me a big sigh. Taking the plate with him as he walks away. Closing the door behind him. Well I guess I should sleep. I then turned off the T.V. laying back down. Unfortunately now I was wide awake. Leaving me with my depressing thoughts. A tear escaping my eye with the thoughts of my dead family. Don't cry, Don't cry telling myself. Not wanting to let the neighboring wolves know of my pain.
