3| The Oath

"Alright put her down. I doubt she will run. She looks a little out of it." The warrior said to another. The other warrior pushed me into the cold snow. Numbing my body more then I thought was possible. I groaned, still struggling to pick myself up.

"I need you to go get the Beta and let him know we are all clear. I mind linked him but he's not responding. He's probably busy with something."

"Alright. Don't forget to have her sorted." He then turns around shifting into his wolf sprinting away leaving me behind with the unsightly warrior. He then stomps down on my chest, knocking out any oxygen left in my lungs. Overhanging above me.

"Your a pretty one aren't you." Giving me a slimy grin, looking at my bare skin with no shame. Lust lingering in his eyes. Disgusting. Feeling self conscience, I unconsciously try to cover myself up to no avail. He then grabs me up by my hair, digging painfully into my scalp. I wince. Without thinking I quickly grab his hand with my own extending my nails into his skin. Trying to stop the pain.

"Ow! What the f**k." Dropping me like a hot sack of potato's into the snow. Allowing me to scramble away from him. He quickly recovers and grabs my hair once more. But this time he took his other hand holding my arms behind my back.

"A feisty one aren't you? Maybe after this is all done with I can keep you." That thought alone horrified me. Sending bile up my throat. I would rather die first. My anger gets the best of me causing me to spit in his ugly face. Instantly his hand slaps my cheek. Leaving my ears ringing and the metallic taste of blood in my mouth. Turning my head to look back giving him my biggest stink eye full of disdain.

"Get up." he said with contempt in his voice.  As soon as I got back on my feet. He grabs my arm and starts to drag me past our boarders.  Eventually leading us to a huge group of what is left of my pack. But no matter how many times I scanned through the long lines of my pack members there was no Sean, no family, no Jack and no Airabell. Airabell......Is she still alive? How will she take care of herself out in the cold. All alo-. *Slap* Ouch! what the heck, Again really?

"I said name and rank. Don't make me say it again I need to know where to put you before my Beta gets here." Another man with brown hair says glaring at me.

"Sam, I am an omega." I said lying through me teeth. Not that its any of their business.

"She's lying. There is no way she is an omega." The ugly warrior said from behind.

"Last name?" The man asked. Ignoring what the warrior had to say.

"Just Sam no last name." The man starts to narrow his eyes at me.

"What do you me-"

"Sir, I am an omega what makes you think I know my last name?" Giving him a dumb look as if I didn't really know.

"Larry I don't think she's lying." The man with the clip board said standing next to him. Believing my obvious lie.

"Who's lying?" The clip board guy jumps in surprise. Giving him a scare. He then turns to the very serious, tall lean man with blond hair.

"S-sir you gave me a scare." The blond man ignores him and turns his head towards the brown hair.

"What seems to be the problem Larry?" The brown haired man whose name seems to be Larry turned his head towards the blond.

" I will show you." Larry turns his head back towards me. "Tell him your name and rank."

Facing myself towards the blond "Sam, I am an omega." Giving the strange man a look. What is it to him? Not once did his straight serious face change. But there was a long pause after as he stares at me as if he was deciding something.

Finally filling the silence. "She's Samantha Finley,  Family of the Alpha." He then turns away. "Hurry up and sort her." He says before he starts to walk away. Leaving my face with shock. My mouth a gape. How? Wait what? I mean I'm obviously not an omega but how did he know who I was?

"Think your so smart don't you Ms. Finley." Larry said giving me smile. Trying to taunt me. Knowing that I couldn't fool that man.

"Smarter then you." A sneer seeping though my words, as I glare at him. The guy next to him scribbling everything down as fast as he can on his clip board then points to one of the many lines.

"Put her over there." Not even giving me a glance from his board.  I was then grabbed roughly once again by the ugly warrior and thrown in the middle of one of the lines. How are they sorting these lines?

"Alright everyone if I can please have your attention." All eyes now on the tall, lean man with blonde hair from earlier.  "I am your new Beta. . . ." Now I know why he was smarter then the others. Looking around through the entire crowd with his serious face. His face not giving away any hint of emotion.

"You are no longer the Freedom Runners, you are now part of Blood Moon." Gasps were heard amongst my pack. Fear and disbelief could be seen in everyone's eyes.  Reality was really starting to set in. The worst of the worst. We all knew it would be them. After hearing the several reports of other packs being attacked. But it was something we all thought wouldn't happen to us. The Blood Moon was the pack in our horror stories. The story we tell children to scare them at night. Stories that even scare adults because we knew they were real.

"Betrayal to your pack is the highest crime there is. Any who resists will be punished accordingly." He then scans the crowd once more seeing if anyone dares to object. Daring us to sign our death certificate.

"Before we head back to your new pack we need each and every person to individually give an oath to your new pack.  After you are done. You will be guided into smaller groups to your new temporary home. This is where you will be staying while you go through our education system and learn about our expectations here in Blood Moon. Let us begin." Without hesitation, one by one each and every member of my pack was giving their oath to the enemy without a second thought. Not realizing they were practically signing a deal with the devil.  They are simply frightened of the other possible choice. Blinding them of the fact that Blood Moon is a fate far worst then death.

' I can't believe that no one in front of us  doesn't even have a slight hint of hesitation in this oath.' I said to my wolf. The line moving much quicker then I thought it would.

'They are afraid. Can you blame them? They are simply complying with the choice that allows them to live.'

'But the Stories. We all know the stories. There is nothing but suffering and pain in this pack. They know this!'

'Sam its just stories we don't know if any of it's true.'

'Well they have to come from somewhere don't they? Besides I know none of them wants to be a part of Blood Moon. That alone would stop me.'

'You have Alpha blood it's not the same. Your loyalty is much stronger to the pack. Let them choose for themselves. Let them fight. Maybe their future can change for the better then.'

'I just don't want them to suffer. Nothing will change. They don't have hope. . .'

'Then give them hope.'

When my dreadful turn arrives it has finally dawned on me that I don't know what my wolf meant by giving them hope. How do I give them hope? I can't just hand it to them on a plater like you would with food. I want to give them hope. I want to give them any chance I possible could.  I don't want them to suffer. I would do anything to give them the chance to fight once more. To give them the life I know they all deserve.

"Next"

.

"I said next" One of the guards then grabbed me and pushed me forward. Almost making me fall forward into the snow. "Time to give your oath" Another clip board guy said. What is with all the clip boards? What is it they need to record down?  The amount of deaths? and then it finally clicked. I finally understood what my wolf was hinting. Which wasn't far off with what I was probably going to do regardless.

"No" Knowing that I might as well sign my death certificate.

"What did you say?" he said glaring at me. Bewiled that I would even refuse. I mean who would when your only other choice is death?

"I said No!" raising my voice this time. Making sure I could get my packs eyes on me. I will never. give an oath to any pack that is not mine. My allegiance lies with MY pack and no one else. Then I turned around to my pack and looked at all the faces who looked shocked and frightened for me. Pleading with their eyes that I should change my mind and beg for forgiveness so that I may keep my life.   "I will not give an oath to anyone except to my pack. The freedom runners.  My loyalty stays with my family...my pack." I yell to everyone as loud as I can before they decide to stop me and kill me. The same guy grabbed me, turning me around to look at his glaring face. Two more come and grab my arms.

"A brave one aren't you......what does it say here." he looks at his clip board. Searching through the pages until he finds what he is looking for. "oh you must be part of the alpha family Samantha. That explains things.". Giving me a small laugh. "Well Samantha you are not the first to do such a thing. I pity you. really I do." Smirking at me with not an ounce of regret. Showing me the obvious lie in his words.  "You will go down in vain." Laughing as if it was a funny joke. How sick can you be? He is actually getting a kick out of killing others! Well lets see who gets the last laugh. I knew this would cause me death. But all I needed was to remind them what is being left behind. So when their days are dark. They will remember the legacy of their old pack. Giving them the determination and hope for a better life.

My eyes narrow at the man in front of me. Not giving him the satisfaction of my fear before my death.  His hand flew towards my neck to execute me.

"Stop." The beta interrupts. Holding the mans hand. Stopping him from any damage. Still not giving one ounce of emotion in his serious face. "The Alpha will want a public execution. "

"Of course" The man said. Glaring at my smirking face and giving me a confused look. Wondering why I would be smiling when death was knocking on my door. The bigger the scene the more memorable I will be to my pack. This couldn't have worked out any better.

Then another soldier came towards me from the right.  But this time instead he went straight towards my neck with a syringe putting me to sleep.
