Chapter 13 - All Too Well

Chapter 13 - All Too Well (Present)

Romeo curled up, wrapping my body. His slimly sweet snores rippling my neck. Sunlight's passing through the blinds, radiating into my eyes directly, fluttering my fingers through the air and playing with the rays. Footsteps echoed coming from the distance, I closed my eyes, pretended I'm asleep and then the door slowly opened.

"Kris?" her voice so smooth calling my name, I didn't reply and she dubbed it once more.

"They're placidly sleeping mom, like oil in the morning." my sister utter released, her sentence pointing downstairs, I heard mom replied but from my position it's gibberish.

"What is it?" I asked, her hand quit closing the door, she takes one step, half of her body in the doorway.

"We've just got home from church and we ordered some food."

Romeo yawns, unlacing his hug from my body, Carly averted her sight to his direction and she shifted it back to me, then smiled.

"We'll rightly follow." I told, she mouthed 'okay' and her steps descending. I rolled over, meeting him face to face, my arm creeps through his back, and an appealing warmth emanating from his bare chest.

"Let's go grab our breakfast." smiling joyfully, his demeanor imprinted with lethargic and simply manages to smirk.

"Give me a couple of minutes." he said sleepily and kisses roamed around my neck, "You really turned me on with your raw fragrance in the morning." he stopped, then his soft lips continuing to smack my skin. And moans, sexily fleeing from my soft palate.

"Mr. Lucas?" Romeo halted - flattered, I shifted away from him and dad was standing with the door wide open.

"You could have just knocked, at least - dad." I sit up from the bed, he stood chuckling and Romeo utilized his shirt from the side table. "Stop laughing dad, I hate you." my feet trailed on the window side, pulling the string of the blinds.

"Did I just intruded the morning ritual? Huh Romeo?" he asked jokingly. I hissed, my sights changed course to my boyfriend and purposely expressed a shy smile.

"No dad, we haven't started yet.." I answered on behalf of him and gestures to come downstairs,

"We haven't yet washed our face and brush our teeth, so, NO!" and that's our kind of morning rituals. Dad snickering, clapping both our shoulders as we made our exit.

We're all gathered in the dining room, mom and Carly almost finished with their food, and handed us each, a bowl of noodles and pieces of bread arranged in the basket. We take our seats and I slowly blow the soup from my spoon.

"The dark circle in your eye gradually fading." Mom informed and move closer the bread to his side as dad sits beside her, in front of us. "And maybe hereafter that might not be visible, and you're ready for school." She added.

Romeo bit the bread after he dipped it on the soup, our gaze met and we've read each other's mind.

"I'm no longer in school ma'am, I'll have my job starting tomorrow.," he told honestly, my parents a bit surprised or shocked or I don't know but they've taken back from their chairs slightly, they both peeked at one another while Carly undisturbed from the right end of the table.

"He'll be working as an assistant in a print, graphic, and production company." I supported him, and our hands clutched under the table, "They have offered Romeo a substantial amount, and so he could save money."

"And I promised Kris that I'll resume my studies next school year as that's what we've planned." altering our sights from my parents and same gapes once more matched. I have nothing to worry and I'm sure mom and dad would be proud of him.

"Wow! I can't believe that both of you have motivated something for the future." Mom cheered. Both of my parents were comprehensive and practical, that's why they have trained me to be competitive in a good way and so likely to succeed. I know they would admire Romeo but not as much as I adore him.

My parents knew about how unsupported and a bit harum-scarum Romeo's guardians, that's why here in our house we haven't mentioned them. They were smart to emphasize what truly happened to him - all that bruises and marks and why he was here.

"I know Kris, your ears may be almost clogged, about this over and over little reminder.." Dad gagged, we cope up to laugh, I know what will he's pushing to share,

"That both of you should finish school, your education - that's your ticket in the future and no one can ever steal that, and also you Carly." Now, we're having a small father talks, my sister smiled and raised a brow.

"And also it's one of my dreams to marry your son, Kris, sir." I bucked up, my face creasing into a beam. Carly froze and both of my parents were positively adhered to what they have heard. And for real, I wasn't expecting that to arise, but it really sounds fascinating and my heart pumped out.

"Wo - oh - Woah!" dad suppressed promptly, Romeo's broad grin never fades away.

"I guess it's too early to predict that, both of you are still young and outgoing and gregarious - "

"Dad, it's better to have a dream than to dream, nothing." I cut him off - jokingly, I can discern the idea he wanted to relay, mom chuckled and dad's brows met.

"I know, but let us not settle the possibility of sudden unexpected surprises, your mom bears you for a long time and we couldn't just let someone tear your heart - in a blink of an eye, instantly," he said straight and a bit serious, my lips flicked sideways.

"You should have not said that in front of Romeo, dad." I hissed utterly, I stand up but before I made my departure, Romeo grabbed my hand.

"It's okay, I understand your parents, and you should be thankful that they're looking after you, and your sister." he contemplated, his eyes glisten with lapses but in a favorable mood. I didn't listen as I thoroughly turned my heels.

I closed my door - but it opened, Romeo's complexion projecting.

"You've just proven to me that dad was right.." my chest huffing, for them I might be acting immature but I'm madly, certainly attached to my boyfriend. I'm only twenty and my heart already spoke to me. His head tilted.

"Was he right? You're going to leave me? If that so, do it soon, don't wait till later - " He cupped my face and pressed his lips flawlessly to mine, of course, I go with the flow and he started emitting soft moans, stinging the tip of my ear - inclinational.

"Now, tell me, do you think I wanted to leave you?" he was breathless, dad was right he intruded our morning ritual.

"No, and I'm not sorry that you fall in love with me." we both chuckled, and smashes our lips gratifying our burning souls, he knocked me down, I'm at the bottom he's on top, our lips didn't unlace and fighting for supremacy. My hands busy tracing from under his shirt, down to his abs and then the door opened.

"Oh, my - did no one ever know the word privacy?" I yelled.
