The teacher returned with the cello (she ended up using pliers, not a hammer) but it is un fixable at the moment. There are no spare cellos for the cellist to use because they're all broken. Most of them need strings, so the teacher is going to take strings off the bad cellos and replace the strings on the passable cellos that are missing strings to make a frankencello.
