Disney once again lands a spot in All Things AWESOME. This time, I'm reviewing Disney Infinity. As with Epic Mickey, Disney made another game, Disney Infinity 2.0. And as with Skylanders, another game will be released as well.

In Disney Infinity, you buy characters ( much like Skylanders ), put them on a platform that enters them into the game ( still like Skylanders ) and you can play with those characters. ( Hmmm... where have we seen this before? Oh yeah, Skylanders! ) In Disney Infinity, there isn't really a point to the game. You can battle baddies if you'd like, but you have to spawn them in. You can race with your friends, build pretty much anything in the Toy Box ( basically your own little world ) , or, for a story, go to a play set. ⬇

Play sets are the stories in this game. In Disney Infinity 1.0, you could help Captain Jack Sparrow defeat Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean, prefect your scaring at Monsters University, save the city with The Incredibles, and more. In each of the play sets, you must play as the appropriate character(s) to play through the story. ( Elsa can't play in Pirates of the Caribbean and such. ) Then you can play through the story and beat the game. Of course there will be heated battles, some side-missions, and some loot as well. Personally, I enjoyed the Pirates of the Caribbean play set the most. Although I've never seen any of the movies, I liked collecting booty, steering my ship through the seven seas, and fighting off my enemies.

When Disney Infinity 2.0 was made, Disney had just bought Marvel. You know, super heroes and all that stuff? Yeah, well in Disney Infinity 2.0, you could play as those guys, along with some newer Disney characters. Now, I personally am not a fan of Marvel, and thus did not buy the Marvel play sets. I did enjoy blasting enemies out of my path as Stitch, soaring over everyone's heads as Baymax, and running from palace guards as Aladdin. Unfortunately, I had to do this all in the Toy Box, because no Disney play sets were released. If you're a Marvel fan, though, Disney Infinity 2.0 would be fun for you. But you might want to wait... for 3.0!

Yes, Disney Infinity 3.0 ( I guess 1.0 and 2.0 just weren't infinite enough ) will be released on August 23, 2015. I am excited to say I think it will be the best game yet, featuring Star Wars characters ( YES, YES, YES! ), more Disney characters ( be prepared to fight villains, do daring stunts, and more as... Minnie Mouse? ), and more Marvel characters. ( Great for Marvel fans. Me? Not so much. ) And there won't just be 1 new Disney play set. There won't just be 3 Star Wars play sets... there will be so much more!

So check out Disney Infinity, 1,2, or 3.0. Personally, I enjoy building amazing creations the most, but there is so much more to the game. As always, I couldn't cover everything. ( Power disks, the Magic Wand, and more. ) I almost forgot to mention: all the games are 1-2 playered. Also, the games can be bought for pretty much any kind of Xbox and the Wii.
