| CHAPTER 31 : BIG TROUBLE |

Levi took out a small black-looking device out of his pocket, "You want to call him here or in your office."

"Here is fine." King Alpha answered.

Levi shrugged, walking towards the counter where I sat and placing the device beside me. He gave me a greeting smile and I smiled back, catching King Alpha frowning at both of us for a split second.

Levi pushed a button on the device. A sound like a phone ringing rang from the device. He moved back to stand near the wall, leaning with his arms crossed.

The device rung for a few seconds, before a blue light sort of thing sprung through it, almost hitting my face. A shriek escaped my lips as I almost toppled off the counter. I jumped down the counter, standing a few feet away from it.

You could see Arsenio's half body clad in a black suit in the blue light. It was a projection.

"I didn't know you missed me that much," King Alpha greeted, "it's been only eight hours since we last met."

"I didn't call you to look at your face-"

"My handsome beautifully sculpted face."

"Whatever," Arsenio rolled his eyes, "there's been a breach in our system."

King Alpha gave a nod, "Glad to know."

"Four souls have escaped the Limbo. My demons were able to capture three of them and send them back. The last one fled away."

"Then catch it," King Alpha responded, "I don't get why are you bothering us with your problems."

"It was because of your mate that the souls escaped the Limbo," Arsenio's inhuman black eyes turned towards me making me straighten my back.

"Her?" King Alpha pointed a finger at me, raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

Arsenio nodded.

"You let a little girl open up your Limbo?" King Alpha rolled in his lips to conceal his laughter, "And I thought she was the dumb one." King Alpha laughed more sharing a look with Drew who only shook his head at him with a smile tugged on his lips.

Arsenio looked flushed but quickly put on his strict face, "It was her magic. She corrupted the system while killing six of my demons."

I didn't know how to react to that.

"Don't be stupid," King Alpha grumbled, "How can Ezlynn open the Limbo? She's a small girl who doesn't even know how to use her magic."

"Well she did, and now you have to pay the consequences. Help us find the soul."

"Sorry mate, not my problem. I like to keep my paws off demon work."

"Funny, you wouldn't be saying that once you know who's the last soul." Arsenio crossed his arms.

"Your brother whom you kissed?"

Levi snorted a small laugh while Arsenio visibly flamed.

"I am not gay!"

"Yet you called to tell me how much you missed me." King Alpha grinned.

Arsenio shook his head, "Fine, stay out of demon business but when the last soul finds you, don't come asking help from me."

"No problem with that," King Alpha smiled.

Without another word, Arsenio's projection disappeared.

"You should have taken his words seriously, ami," Drew spoke, popping some peanuts into his mouth.

"Yeah," Katia agreed.

King Alpha waved his hand, "Souls escape the Limbo once in a century. Who cares? By the way, did you not hear him say that Ezlynn, that girl right over there," King Alpha pointed a finger at me, "opened up a fucking portal for four souls to escape."

"Hey! Maybe I can do something like that, okay?" I crossed my arms, glaring at him.

He rolled his eyes, "Sure. And why would a soul come looking for me?"

"Maybe because you killed it...?" Katia stated in an obvious tone.

He shrugged, "Point. But then also, what's a lifeless soul gonna do?"

"Oui, I think it's not a big problem," Drew said although there was some uncertainty in his tone.

"Now we can all relax, sit back, and eat my tuna chocolate cake," King Alpha smiled, picking up the whisk.

"I think I'm gonna perish," Drew said, looking a bit green.

"I didn't even sign up for this." Levi said, his head in his hands, looking sick.

"I don't think chocolate cake is ever gonna be the same for me," Katia said, moving the cake around on her plate with her spoon.

"Why does King Alpha get to throw up and not us?" I asked, my mouth filled with an acidic oily kind of taste as I tried keeping my barf down.

"Apparently because he's the king," Katia muttered, rolling her eyes.

"Let's just call Griselda and tell her to throw this away before he comes back," Levi suggested, pushing his plate away from him, "I can't eat this anymore."

"I agree," Drew said immediately.

"Me too," Katia said.

"As if I want to keep eating," I said, pushing away my plate too.

"I'll call Griselda," Levi stood up, pushing his chair back.

"Can I come too?" I asked, not wanting to smell the cake filled with tuna anymore.

"Yup."

I jumped down from my chair and followed Levi out the door, falling in step with him.

"So where is Griselda?"

"On the other side," Levi said tilting his head. The weapons in his belt clanked together softly.

"Why do you carry so many weapons?" I asked.

He glanced at his belt before shrugging, "I like fighting."

"I like fighting too," I said, struggling to keep up with his long strides, "but not too much. I mean I used to go to boxing classes when I was young. Then I had to leave because I needed to earn money."

He gave a nod.

"Hey uh..." Levi spoke after a while, scratching the back of his neck, "I heard your conversation with King Alpha earlier. I didn't mean to," he added quickly, "I was walking in your direction and your voices just reached my ears."

"Okay...?" I said.

"I heard that Ace has Collin?"

A heavy sigh came to my lips.

I nodded, "Yeah, he does."

"Why?"

"He wants something for me in return for Collin," I answered.

"Want what?" Levi furrowed his eyebrows.

I gave him a skeptical look.

He noticed my look and immediately blushed, "Sorry, didn't mean to pry. I just thought that maybe I could help or something."

"Help how?"

He shrugged, "I might...know how to sneak into the Derek towers."

I halted in my place, wide-eyed, "Derek towers?"

He shook his head at my shocked expression, "it's just a name. There's no Derek in there."

"Why would they name it Derek? As in the evil witch Derek?"

He shrugged, "They were all Derek's witches once ago. Whoever fled has to strip off the witch magic and learn the warlock ways. The tower's name was already Derek towers, and they didn't bother changing it."

"Have you ever seen...Derek?" I asked.

He shook his head, "I wasn't even born anywhere near the war."

"Right." I said, "How did the werewolves win the war?"

A smile came on his face, "I heard it was epic. All Royals of the past who had left came back from literally all across the world. The oldest Royal to the previous one. They helped us fight off the witches. Man, I wish I were there."

I smiled back.

"So...about sneaking into the Derek towers," I said, tilting my head.

"You wanna do it?" he asked.

"That would probably get us in trouble right?" I asked, playing with my fingers.

He raised his eyebrows, nodding, "Big trouble. But..." he said, "that is if we get caught."

"And how do we not do that?" I asked.

"We have to get help of course." He stated as if it was obvious.

"Whose help?"

He smiled, "A Royal."
