10:20 AM. WAKANDA, AFRICA
on the ship, y/n and t'challa sit together as okoye drives the ship. t'challa puts his gloved hand in y/n's who doesn't pull her hand away. she still has feelings for him as he does for her. strong feelings. the romantic love feelings.
t'challa looks at her as the sun brightens up their corner of the ship. her [dark/medium/light] black skin shimmers in the golden glow. he wanted her to be his queen and he wanted to be her king.
"sister y/n..."okoye starts. "my prince... we are home," y/n gets up from her seat, standing behind okoye. she smiles outside the front window.
"this never gets old," t'challa says as the ship goes through the barrier, revealing the true wakanda behind it. a beautiful, bustling kingdom. full of people, animals, food and different types of culture.
the ship lands before the two women of the royal family who stand together, a line of dora malaje on each side of them.
y/n steps out the ship first, t'challa behind her and okoye behind them both. the dora malaje cross their arms over their chest for respect for their general, their future king. and possibly future queen.
"queen mother..." y/n bows before queen ramonda and princess shuri. "princess. my comfort for your loss,"
"thank you, n/n. it is so good to have you with us," the queen smiles at the women who will hopefully takes her place. y/n smiles at her, before two arms hug her. she hugs them back, the arms belong to princes shuri.
"i have missed you," shuri says, letting go of y/n. "cannot see what you wear for the ceremony," and she's not the only one.
"talking about the ceremony," okoye says, turning towards a dora malaje. "take her to the river province to prepare her for the ceremony,"
"yes general," the dora malaje gives y/n a short nod. y/n follows the dora malaje but not before turning around to look back at t'challa to see he is already looking at her.
"did he freeze?" shuri asks, making t'challa's eyes go wide.
"like an antelope in headlights," okoye says, making shuri laugh.
"are you finished?" t'challa ask okoye, who gives shuri a wink and slams her spear twice into the ground, walking off with the rest of the dora malaje following behind her.
"so surprised my little sister came to me off before our big day," t'challa says as shuri walks over to him.
"you wish!" she says to him. "i'm here for the emp beads. i've developed an update,"
"update?" t'challa questions. "no. it worked perfectly,"
"how many times do i have to teach you?" shuri asks him, like she's disappointed. "just because something works doesn't mean that it cannot be improved,"
"you are teaching me?" t'challa chuckles at his sister. "what do you know?" he hands her the beads as she walks off.
"more than you. but i know for certain that you're still in love with n/n!" t'challa looks at his sister with a smile on his face. she isn't wrong.
"i can't wait to see what kind of update you make...to your ceremonial outfit," he says, making shuri put her middle finger at her brother whilst walking off.
"shuri!" the queen calls out, knowing her daughter. shuri puts her hands down, walking off quickly.
"sorry, mother!"
"how are you feeling today, mama?" t'challa asks her. ramonda smiles at her son.
"proud," she says. "your father and i would talk about this day all the time. he is with us...and it is your time to be king,"
