"Where have you been?" Neo asks, nearly shouting on the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial.

"We went to Hicksmon," I say. What does he care where we were? He told me to leave.

"We wanted to see our families before the blast," Es says. "Why?"

"Michelle sent Yuri. She sent him today. He's on his way to the White House right now."

"What are you doing just sitting here then?" I ask. 

If Neo wanted to stay in this timeline to save Yuri, I don't understand why he is here instead of with Yuri. My teeth clench in anger.

"We have to go after him," I say.

"Let him blow the president up," Es says. "The three of us can go back and protect ourselves. Maybe Michelle is right."

"I can't just let him do this," I say. "You two can do whatever you want, but I'm going after Yuri."

I step back into the car and turn the key to start it. Before I know it, Neo and Es are sitting in the backseat.

"You're not doing this alone," Neo says.

"Especially not after I came all this way to find you," Es adds.

"Fine." I step on the gas and peel out of the parking space, headed towards the White House.
