Class was finished and Rey had decided to rest in her room. Her roommate as usual wasn't there. Phasma usually had afternoon classes and after those classes she liked to go to her friends dorm.

Rey's stuff wasn't fully unpacked so she decided to finally go through the crap she has decided to bring. There was only a couple of boxes left. Most of them were full of pictures and posters except for one of them. This box was filled with papers.

She took it in her hand and pulled out one of the pages. It was ripped along the edge but still readable.

Ben took me to prom! It was so fun and we had so much fun together! At the end of the night he kissed me and it was the most magical thing.

Rey narrowed her eyes at the paper. At first she didn't remember what this was from but soon she realized it was a part of a diary entry from sophomore year. She reached in for another one.

Me and Ben are official! Well I think we are, we go out together a lot and it's really fun. His friends still call him Kylo Ren much to his distaste but I know that he's the Ben I love.

Rey crumpled up the paper in her hands angrily until it became a small ball. She didn't understand why she kept those stupid entries and papers but back then she was naive.

It pains me to say this but we have to break up. I'm heading off to college and long distance relationships don't often work. I'm so sorry, I'm doing this for your own good. I don't want you waiting around for me when I'm thousands of miles away. You deserve to find someone who will be there for you. I care too much for you to let you ruin your life. I'm sorry and I love you.

Tears started to prick at her eyes. She remembered this day. The day where they broke each other's hearts. At the moment Rey forgot what she did do to Kylo to make him hate her now. But what she did know was that it came after the letter he wrote her.

Rey blinked back the tears and held the note in her hands. After a few minutes of staring at it, she crumpled it in her palm.
