I walked into the alleyway. The girl was in my arms as I ran at inhuman speed away from the hungry mouths of them. They couldn't kill me. But this was a kid, my job was to protect her. Only for so long then we part ways. That's how it's supposed to be.
I picked her up a little away from the centre of town. Not knowing how she ended up there. Walking until it got dark. She didn't know I was there for a lot of it. But when they came out and she couldn't run anymore, I sprinted out. Picking her up and running from them.
Only rarely do I intervene. If it's a kid, which they mostly are. Or if I feel it is necessary. The kid was clutching onto my front after realising that I wasn't a zombie. I got her to the rooftop of a nearby shop. Setting her down carefully.
"You okay kid?" I asked, kneeling down on one knee to her level.
My eyes were hidden behind a deep set hood that I pulled back a bit so it was resting on the bridge of my nose. She shook her head, shivering at a blast of cold wind. Looking around, I noticed that she wouldn't be able to see me anyway, so I took my hoodie off, pulling it over her.
"You'll be safe here for a bit. Then I'll get you to a base." I explained looking around.
"You're him aren't you?" She questioned.
"Him?" I asked, raising an eyebrow in the dark.
"The not human guy. You help kids and stuff get to bases." She said.
This kid was smart. Nowadays, you had to be smart to survive. I hummed in reply, sitting on the edge of the building taking my bag off. Reaching inside, I turned back to the kid.
"Hungry?" I asked.
Her eyes widened and she nodded, rushing over to me. I pulled out a can of beans and a bottle of water. Opening the can and handing it to her. Along with the water. She smiled gratefully. Reaching in my bag again, I pulled out a spoon, handing that to her aswell.
"Do you want any?" She asked politely.
"Don't people tell you that if your given food that you don't have to share you don't?" I asked.
That's what everyone was told. Yet I was always offered some. She smiled and shrugged. Getting up, I pulled out a blanket and draped that over her aswell.
"Do you want some though?" She offered again.
"Nah, I'm good. Normally only have to bring food for others." I explained.
Finally, she began eating in silence. Even though it was weird, I liked watching people eat food. So I stared intently at her while she ate. Finally she finished, setting the can down and taking small sips of her water.
"What?" She asked when she swallowed her water.
"Nothing." I answered.
Pressing my hands against my thighs, I stood up swiftly. There was another human in the area. Looking off the side of the building, I smelt the air. Listening carefully.
I could hear the patter of sprinting feet and laboured breath. Probably trying to get somewhere inside for the night.
"Stupid lungs." The kid whispered through their breaths.
The running stopped and I heard a noise. Him collapsing. Looking back at the kid. I heard another noise coming from the direction of the collapsed kid. Zombie. I contemplated it for a second.
"Kid listen, if anything goes on here, scream. I'll be back." I called over my shoulder before jumping to the opposite rooftop.
Using my inhuman speed, I managed to get to the kid before they did. He was scrambled into a corner and I landed in front. The zombies continued forward.
Letting a low growl emmit from my mouth, my eyes sparked blue and my fangs grew. The zombies were looking for a fight. Knowing this by the way they were still inching forwards. Normally, they would back off, assuming I would take the kill.
"Fucking kids." I mumbled before rushing forwards.
Using my strength, I snapped the neck of one zombie. Using it to propel myself upwards and kick another. There were only three so it should be easy. Pouncing on the third, I ripped a hole in its neck with my teeth. The other two were going for the human.
Pulling one back, I went for the other. Grabbing it's head with both hands and violently pulling it upwards. Ripping it's head off, I pressed the weight against his body so it would be smoother.
The third one I just kicked before going over to the kid and picking him up. That's when I heard a scream. Cursing under my breath. I ran with the kid in my arms. Who was struggling against me. Jumping, I made it up the building without misjudging it at all.
There was a zombie stumbling towards the girl who was just looking over the edge. The door. Shit. I forgot to check the door. Rushing forwards again, I ripped into its neck with my teeth. It wasn't the most tasteful of things I drank. But it kept me alive and on my toes. Draining the being of blood, I threw him over the edge. Going to the door and checking the building.
That was the only one. But now there was a dead body, there's bound to be more. Swearing again, I went upstairs.
"Kids we gotta bounce." I stated blankly.
"Wait. Hold the fuck up. Who are you? What are you?" The boy asked.
"I'm the person that just saved your ass. So treat me with respect." I glared.
My eyes were bright blue, highlighting my point. He backed off and the girl gasped. Swiftly, I moved to her side, checking her over for injuries. Thankfully there were none. She must've been only 12.
"You can address me as Party Poison." I announced to them both. "Or the traviller. The helper. Whatever. I just help kids not die."
"The kids not die person." The boy sniggered.
I flipped him off before apologising to the kid. Picking her up, she looked confused. The boy looked older than the girl, but it was obvious he wasn't over 18. Finding a fire escape that was a few floors down from the top, I jumped, landing next to silently. Putting the kid down, I jumped up.
"Kid hold on and bend your knees." I instructed.
I grabbed under his armpits, him grabbing onto the small of my back. My eyes were back to their normal colour, he most likely couldn't see my face in the dark which was a good thing.
Jumping down, I landed a little louder than before, grabbing the girls hand and leading her down the steps. As we neared the ladder at the bottom, I could smell a lot more undead heading this way.
Picking the kid up and resting her on one him, I pulled the boy in close. Using strength and as much speed as I could, I managed to get to the second secure house I knew. This I could actually go inside. So the boy was behind and the girl in front.
"Can I have my hoodie please sweetie?" I asked softly. "There's a warm bed in here for both of you."
She smiled brightly, nodding and handing me my hoodie. Sliding my backpack off, I pulled it on before putting my bag back on and opening the door. I had a key so it was easily accessible. There was my kind of food there and rations for the kids.
" Wait what if there are zombies in there?" The boy asked.
"There aren't. I would know." I replied opening the door.
The musty scent of home filled my nostrils and the boy sneezed. Pulling the hood over my face, I walked inside. The boy was hesitant to follow, but the girl was next to me the entire time.
In the centre of the main room, there was a bed and a chair. The girl instantly lying flat down on the bed while I continued into the house.
"What's his deal?" I heard from the room I was in.
"He's nice. He gave me food and saved me. He saved you too. You should be greatful." The girl replied.
"Yeah but who is he, what is his intentions. You saw his eyes, he's not human." The boy said.
"So? He's not a zombie. I've heard about him. He just helps kids because he feels sorry or something. Nobody ever gets a proper look at is face and nobody knows his real name."
That was true. This girl must've been around. Wandering back in, I offered them some food. It wasn't much, just a protein bar. Both of them took it. The girl gratefully and the boy stubbernly. He looked thin. Too thin.
But by god he was attractive. A peircing on his lip and olive skin that managed to stay so clear. Hazel and green eyes that were peircing and tattoos up to his neck. He was wearing loose fitting jeans and a misfits shirt.
"You like the misfits?" I asked gesturing at his shirt.
"No I'm just wearing their shirt because it's the only thing I could find." He replied.
"Even a few years ago, that could've been true. But I'm guessing that you're shitting me." I replied.
I apologised for my language for the kid and sat down crossed legged on the floor. I was awkward in situations like this. When there was one, it's easy to strike up a conversation to pass the time. But with two, they just talk to eachother and my job is to protect them.
"You don't have to apologise for swearing." The kid said after a minuet.
"It's polite and proper to not swear around kids." I replied. "Mind you, you look about 12. I think it's the height."
"Fuck you." The kid said.
I tilted my head to the side and he said sorry to the girl. Often me doing something proper had a posative effect on other. Mostly it was because that's how I was raised up to be like.
"So kids. Answer me. Why on Earth were you guys out so late alone?" I asked.
"Frank. My name is-" I interrupted him.
"Don't tell me your name. It doesn't matter. Forget I asked. Get some sleep. I'll get you to stations tomorrow." I snapped.
They looked taken aback for a minuet. Before 'Frank's' face gave way to anger. He stood up, moving towards me.
"You don't get to do that. All I wanted to say was my fucking name." He said.
"I do get to do that. I saved you ass. Continuing to save it now. So get some sleep." I replied.
Trying to keep my voice calm. He glared a second longer before going to lie next to the girl. Probably freezing. I could change my body temperature at will. But I don't feel cold or warm. I sat in the chair across from them.
"Jesus fucking christ." Frank cursed under his breath.
"What?" I asked quietly.
The girl had gone sleep. Cuddled into Frank, trying to get as much walmth as possible. Frank looked over at me.
"Its cold." He whispered.
I sighed heavily, standing up and taking my coat off. Telling him to move over, I get in the bed. Between both of them and make my body be at a temperature that would warm the two kids up.
"Oh shit. You're like a radiator." Frank whispered.
He put his hand of Gerards chest, feeling its warmth before lying down again. The girl subcontiously moved into my side and I smiled down at her. Looking back at the boy, he was more relaxed than earlier.
"I'm sorry I snapped earlier. Just I don't do names." I whispered to the boy.
He nodded, shuffling as close as possible to me without touching me. His hands were near his face rubbing circles over them to get them warm quicker. Reaching over I placed my hand on top of his and he sighed in relief.
"Why?" he asked.
"Because I get to attached then I just watch them leave." I explained.
I assume the look on my face was sad because he smiled sympathetically. Rolling onto his back, he stared up at the ceiling.
"This is a big favour to ask. But I need to travel to the other side of the state. There's a base there and my mom is -"
"Yes." I interrupted.
"What?"
"Yes, I'll take you there. If you know what base it is. I will take you there. That will mean 8 days of travel. You think you can put up with me for that long?" I joked.
"Only one way to find out." He chuckled.
Closing his eyes, I waited for his breathing pattern to change. When it did he rolled over, lying on top of me. Somehow, he wrapped his hands around me and shoved his face in the crook of my neck.
The entire night I had to lay there. Frank snoring lightly in one ear and the slow consistent breathing of both of them. When the early morning sunrise rolled up, Frank woke up first. Sitting up, accidentlly kneeing me in the dick.
I groaned in pain. Standing up and clutching that area. It hurt a lot. Frank watched me, apologising as I curled into myself.
"Why dude?" I asked almost curled into a ball.
"I'm sorry. You okay?" He asked.
Nodding after a minuet, I stood up. Limping to the kitchen. Opening the cubord. I grabbed some food for the kids. Going in there and throwing it to them, Frank caught it. Placing the breakfast bars on the bed. I went beck into the kitchen, carrying my bag.
I unpacked everything I had in there before, tucking everything for the next 8 days food wise away safely. Grabbing my CDs and portable CD player. I carefully slid that in the bag too. Going back out, I tucked a blanket in and a pair of fresh clothes.
"I have some spare clothes. There's water near the door, get a wash cloth and one waterbottle to clean. Bathroom. Down the hall." I said to Frank.
He nodded moving to pick up a washcloth and a bottle of water. Going into the bathroom. I heard the faint click and the cap open on the waterbottle.
"Its freezing water." Frank called through the door.
Knocking on the door lightly, he opened it. Grabbing the bottle, I heated it for a couple of seconds as warm as I could without the metal breaking. Handing it back he thanked me before I left.
How he managed to live this much surprised me. I moved into the spare bedroom. Getting some clothes for Frank. Mainly just some small jeans and an oversized band hoodie.
My hoodie was still drawn over my face. As usual. I didn't like people seeing me. It makes them easier to identify me. I waited a couple minuets before knocking on the bathroom door again.
"Got some fresh clothes." I called through the door again.
The door opened and I looked in to see Frank in nothing but his underwear. His well toned muscles. They looked good with his olive skin. Frank caught me looking at him and it was only then I realised all of the scars on him.
There were many scattered across his body, but the ones on his wrist were more visable than anything else. They looked only a few days old. I stepped inside the bathroom, shocking Frank who stepped back. Kicking the door shut behind me, I marched over to him.
He must've mistook my actions because he let out a little sqeak and whimpered away. Stopping in my tracks, I looked at his face. He looked terrified. Softening my expression, I took another step forwards.
He was backed against the wall and I managed to corner him by putting my hand to one side of his head. Grabbing his wrist. I studied the scars, gently spreading my fingers over it.
"You did these." I stated obviously.
"You can't just acc-"
"You did these." I repeated, looking up at his eyes. "Battle scars."
"What?"
"They're just like battle scars. I have those. Many people do." I whispered.
"Not like this." Frank hung his head low.
Pulling my hoodie off, I quickly covered my face. There were a lot more scars than what Frank had. About to pull my hoodie back on, there was a hand on mine. Stopping my actions.
His hand moved to run over my scars. The ones on my chest first. I sighed slowly. Feeling Frank trail around me, his hands not leaving. A pair of tattooed arms wrapped around me from behind. Pulling me safely and securely to his chest. We just stood there for a bit. Taking everything in.
"Let's go wake up the kid." Frank interrupted the silence.
Nodding, he let me put my hoodie back on before getting the fresh clothes. He changed into them after ushering me out of the bathroom. He emerged a minuet later and the hoodie was way to big on him, but it looked adorable.
"What?" He asked when I was staring at him.
"Looks good kid." I smirked.
Blushing, he looked down. Playing with the sleeves he muttered a thanks. Walking into the room that held the bed, I sat on the corner of the bed.
"Hey honey, it's time to wake up now." I whispered, shaking her shoulder lightly.
Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up ridgedly. Looking around and blinking a few times, her composure softened and she relaxed again.
"Five more minuets." She groaned, rolling over.
"Kid we've given you like almost an hour more sleep. I have a big travel and can't afford to waist time." I smiled.
She groaned getting up. Rolling her feet off the side of the bed. She slept in her shoes, as most people do. It makes it easier if they needed to make a sudden run. Me, on the other hand, never wore shoes. It helps heighten my senses.
Jumping off the bed, I handed her a set of fresh clothes and told her to go to the bathroom. I heated the bottle beforehand this time. Handing it to her, carefully. 15 minuets later, she came out almost completely clean. 10 minuets after that, we were on our way out. The sunlight hurt my eyes, so I wore sunglasses under my hood. Eventually, I pulled my hood down altogether.
It was my eyes that I didn't like people to see. Makes someone very recognisable. My black hair whipped around my face, projected there by the cold air.
"I think you would look better with red hair." Frank suddenly said as we walked.
"What why?" I questioned in return.
"Gives of more vibes y'know. Adds more pazazz to 'Party Poison'." He added.
I just shrugged, continuing down the street. Two more blocks till we get to the base. So far we've only had one encounter with the undead. The girl was holding my and Frank's hand. As if we were protecting her.
The base I was putting her in had a lot of people that also know me. That I had transported. Many kids. So that would be good company for the girl.
Finally, we got there and there was a lot more security than I remembered. A buzz in. Most people knew me. Pressing the button, I heard a voice come through the speakers.
"Human or not?" It said, cracked.
"Something else. But I got humans here." I replied.
"Oh shit! You're the traveller." He announced.
"Yup. Can we come in?" I asked.
The gates flew open, being pulled by two guys. Pulling my hood up on instinct, I crouched down to the girls hight.
"Listen kid. I don't want to see you on the streets again. You're strong. If they find you. Don't let them take you alive. Keep running." I smiled.
She nodded, all of a sudden, she pulled me into a hug. I hugged back a minuet later. Fuck this was always hard. Seeing them go. Walking her to the guy, Frank was behind both of us.
"Take care of this kid. I'm taking the other to meet his mom." I said softly.
"Aren't you going to come in?" He asked after he nodded.
Shaking my head, I turned on my heel. About to leave when loads of kids came pouring out of the building. They came sprinting towards me.
Recognising all of them, I smiled and waved awkwardly. They just kept coming closer. In situations I found funny because I was more afraid of the humans than any supernatural creature. Mostly just because I was extremely awkward.
The first wave of about 3 kids came forward, pulling me into a hug. This was a nice gesture, but there was so many. Their hearts racing. Their blood rushing. Blood. When was the last time I fed from a human?
"I need to be going." I announced, looking down.
My voice was tainted, strained. Frank must've noticed because he was by my side, holding my elbow. The kids didn't take the hint. 4 more going forward to embrace me.
"I have to go. It was lovely seeing all of you again." I said.
Shuffling backwards, Frank's hand was in mine when I heard a noise. Shit. They're coming. Well, good for me because I get food. Moving swiftly I called to the guys as I exited the gates. The gates were closed behind Frank and I.
"Somethings coming. I can kill them. Or we can bounce. Your call." I asked him.
Smelling the air, I could tell there were three. Frank said it would be better for me to kill them. So we headed off in that direction. There were some rough looking zombies that, as soon as they smelt Frank, came sprinting towards us.
Grabbing Frank, I lifted him, placing him on top of a roof top. It wasn't that high up and it was a flat surface, but it wasn't easily climbable.
"Don't look." I told him before jumping off the roof.
Praying that he wouldn't, I jumped into the first one. Killing it instantly. Before long all three were down. Leaning over one of them, I bit into it's neck. Letting the bitter blood glide down my throat. They tasted disgusting.
"What the fuck are you doing?" someone asked.
It was Frank. Pulling off the dead creatures neck, I couldn't risk turning to him. So, instead, I pulled out my own water bottle and filled it up, the blood only being enough to fill it up halfway.
"You can come down now." I called to Frank.
Moving to the next zombie, I filled it up almost halfway. Blood didn't go smoothly around the system. That's why I preferred to eat fresh. Especially humans. Their blood so sweet and glides so smoothly.
Feeling a hand on my shoulder, I glanced up. Realising it was Frank, I stood up, cleaning my bottle on the zombies shredded rags. Wiping my mouth, I tuned to him.
"What the fuck are you? Were you drinking from them?" He asked.
"Let's go." I said, not answering his question.
Setting off on the right direction, I waited until I heard him running to catch up. Stopping for a second, I started coughing. Leaning over, spitting up black blood. Fuck. This never happens. I feel dizzy and tired. Stumbling a bit, I leant against a post.
Bending over I was violently sick. Throwing up black blood onto the floor. Falling to my knees, I continued to vomit. Frank had pulled the hair out of my face and was ribbing my back. For some reason, it didn't hurt as much when he did this. Feeling so much better.
"What the fuck was that?" He asked when I was on my hands and knees.
I was facing the floor, my glasses, long since fallen off and my hood was pulled back. Grabbing my hood, I pulled it over my head. Standing up shakily, I grabbed onto Frank for support.
"I-I don't know. I've not coughed since I was alive." I whispered.
"You were alive?" He asked.
Nodding made my head hurt, making me stumble and groan in pain. Starting to walk again, I grabbed onto Frank. His arm under my armpit, keeping me upright.
"Kid, I'm gonna pass out. Get back to the base. Leave me here and come back in the morning." I instructed him.
He shook his head. Focusing on one step after another, he helped me walk.
"Put me down kid." I said.
My voice was obviously strained and I coughed again. Trying to stand by myself. I felt on the verge of tears. Letting my head roll forward, I allowed him to drag me forwards. Trying my best to contribute.
"It hurts." I whispered.
"I know, party, its just another bumb in the road. Another scar. You're gonna make it, okay. Just hold on." He reassured.
"Sorry." I apologised.
"For what?" He asked.
"For making this trip last longer. I don't even know what the fuck is wrong with me."
He didn't say anything else, just helped me walk. By the time we got back to the base, Frank was beginning to get tired and I was on the verge of passing out.
"Hello?" The voice said.
"Yeah. Hi, the travellers hurt. He needs help." Frank called into the receiver.
After a little minuets, that seemed to drag on for hours, the gates opened. Frank carried me, whispering reassurance to me. Dropping to the floor again, the vomit reappeared and I was puking on the floor.
Some guys rushed forwards, seeing the black blood and stepping back a bit. As though they were afraid of it. I was to busy emptying the contents of my stomach to care much.
"What can I do?" Frank asked, rubbing my back.
I answered by throwing up again. After I was done, I fell sideways into Frank, who had been kneeling next to me. He pulled me closer to him and gurney was pulled towards me.
They placed me on a makeshift gurney, it hurt more when Frank wasn't holding my hand. It felt bad still, but it didn't hurt that much. But now the pain was throbbing and I screamed.
"Frank." I called out.
He was by my side in an instant, grabbing onto my hand. Trying to keep onto the hand holding mine, I pulled him as close as I could.
"Make it stop." I groaned in pain.
"Where does it hurt?" Someone else asked.
"E-Everywhere. Make it go away." I cried.
Frank let go of my hand and I screamed in pain. The agony tearing through me. He needed to stay with me. Holding me.
"Frank. Please." I asked.
My hand lifted up in the air. He looked confused. Letting another scream tear through me, I continued to reach out.
"Hold my fucking hand." I cried.
Frank nodded, and instead of staring down at me in scared confusion and woeriedness. His hands were clasped tightly around my single hand. The pain subsided temporarily, but I managed to pull Frank closer, making all of the would hurt way less.
"It hurts. Make. It stop. You make it stop. But it still. Hurts. I want Mikey. Is Mikey here?" I asked.
"Who's Mikey?" he asked.
"My brother. Is he here?" I whispered.
"I don't think so." Frank whispered.
"I want to sleep." I said.
My eyes were drooping and I was close to passing out. I was practically high of pain and hurt so much.
"Get some sleep. I'll be here. Do you need anything?" Frank asked me.
"Hungry." I said.
"I'll bring something for you." He said.
Shaking my head, I pulled him closer. My eyes were blue, but he couldn't see. My fangs were close to breaking free and I felt like I could throw up again. But I knew my stomach was nearly empty.
"Please. I'm so hungry." I whined.
He stared down at me confused. Rubbing circles on my hand. I groaned and he tried to smile reassuringly. It didn't work.
The door opened to a freezer room and I caught a scent of something fresh. Something human. My head snapped in that direction. Someone walked through. It wasn't them that I could smell.
"What's in there?" I asked quietly.
"The blood locker." The girl replied confused.
I was in there in an instant. Using my inhuman speed and a last burst of energy. There was a lot of blood bags in here. Frank ran through the door just as I picked one up.
"Please don't watch." I begged.
My body gave out and I stumbled into a nearby wall. Frank was there, helping me slide down it. The bag was still in my hand. Not being able to fight of the hunger, I ripped the top off and began drinking. Moaning in pleasure as soon as the sweet, creamy liquid slid down my throat.
It was so good. Draining it in seconds, I tried to stand up to get another. Frank was holding onto me, frozen in shock. Lifting a hand up, I pointed to the shelf.
"Please." I asked as he head drooped.
He nodded, getting up. The pain flooded back but I let him go. Stiffling a scream. He brought another one to me. After a few seconds I drained that aswell. The woman opened the door when I was halfway through the third one.
"S-sorry." I croaked out to her.
She nodded, turning around. Leaving the room, Frank turned to me.
"What the fucking hell are you?" He whispered.
"Tired." I answered.
I was making him hold my hand again, but he let it go while he stood up. Shouting about something, I felt heavy. My head was like fog and I couldn't think, rolling to the side. When I was on the floor, I curled up into a ball.
I felt Frank pick me up after what seemed like forever. My head was on his shoulders and he placed me on the bed that I started on originally. Pulling him close subconsciously. Well mostly subcontiously. He allowed me to pull him into a lying position, well try to. He just lied next to me and I moved impossible closer.
"Sleep now okay?" He asked.
Nodding into his chest, he pulled the blanket over us. I was probably freezing him. Focusing slightly, I allowed my body to change into a warm temperature. My eyes slowly closed and I felt like I wouldn't care if they were glued together.
When I woke up, Frank was still laying with me. But we were spooning now. My arms were securely around the smaller boy, who was asleep. Closing my eyes again, I allowed myself a few minuets to relax before I pulled myself up into a sitting position. My head hurt, bad. But I would survive. Turning to Frank, I shook his shoulder lightly.
"Kid?" I asked.
He stirred in his sleep before jerking upwards. His eyes were open wide. He looked around for a minuet then to me. His face relaxed and I smiled lightly.
"I should be okay now. We have to go." I said softly.
He nodded and I tried to jump off the bed, but landed rookily, almost falling over. Frank's hands were at my hips, helping me keep steady. Thanking him, I went to my bag. Picking it up and pulling it over my shoulder.
"You okay?" Frank asked.
Nodding slightly, I grabbed his arm and walked out of the room I was in. Frank seemed to vaguely remember the way. But we ended up bumping into someone and asking anyway. They directed up to the exit when someone said something that made me freeze.
"Hello stranger." The voice said.
I knew that voice. Turning towards it, I saw someone I never thought I would. He was taller than me and wearing a brand jacket. He was leaning swiftly against a worktop and it took me a second to place him.
"Cola?" I asked.
He nodded, pushing away from the counter. Opening his arms wide, I stumbled into them.
"I knew something smelt bad in here." He joked.
"I missed you cola. I Haven't seen you since.... I thought you were dead." I rambled.
"Hey Gee... Shit erm... Traveller... It's okay. I'm here now." He said. "Im going to follow you now."
"What?" I asked.
"You have always been the leader. The 5 killjoys right. Me, you, your brother, his mate, the kid..." cola said before I cut him off.
"My brother, his mate and the kid are dead. Follow someone who can take care of you, I couldn't save her cola." I interrupted angrily.
"I know but-"
"But nothing. You don't know anything cola." I shouted before calming down. "Take care of yourself... I've got to go."
I turned to leave, but Cola grabbed onto my arm. Stopping me from going anyway. Trying to jerk my arm away, he wouldn't let me. Turning me around and grabbing my shoulders.
"I heard a rumor... Don't get your hopes up... That there are some people filling the description of Mikey and Ray up in a different base on the other side of the state." He whispered.
Looking up, I checked to see if he was joking. What kind of sick person would say anything like that anyway? He looked extremely serious.
"Let's go." I whispered.
Cola nodded, picking up a bag that I hadn't noticed before before following me out of the building. Frank was by my side, staring at me confused. Looking at him sideways, I gave him a reassuring smile. He returned it hesitantly.
"What the fuck happened to you yesterday?" Cola asked.
Shrugging I looked down. My head still hurt, but it's nothing I couldn't deal with. Cola looked at me for explication when there was a sudden glare of sun and we both hissed.
"Fuck the sun man." I growled. "Why it gotta be so bright?"
Cola chuckled, agreeing with me. Frank was once again looking at us confused. Probably wasn't even that bright, but our sensative eyes could barely cope with sun.
"Your saying that when you have that huge fucking hood on. I bet you couldn't even see it." He laughed.
Huffing a little, I nudged him with my shoulder. Making him sway a little. He put his middle finger up at me and the three of us walked. Mostly, it was Cola and I who were talking. Frank was staying oddly quiet. After and eerie amount of silence from him, I tapped his elbow.
"You okay darlin?" I asked casually.
He nodded, smiling weekly. Tilting my head slightly, I stared at him. He clearly wasn't fine. Narrowing my eyes, I raked over his body seeing if he was okay.
"You sure?" I asked again after I found no wounds.
"Yeah I'm fine." He said.
He was lying. His voice was a higher pitch and was hesitant. Didn't flow as smoothly as it should've. Opening my mouth to say something else, I decided against it. Instead just walking closer to him.
"You cold?" I asked.
He shrugged and I felt his arm. Practically frozen. Striking up another conversation with Cola, I tried to radiate my heat to him while we were side by side. Lifting his hands up to his mouth, he blew into them to keep them warm. Some of the air escaping and cooling instantly into the air. Making a smoke like pattern appear.
When his hands fell back to his sides, slowly I pulled one into my own. Then pulled that into my hoodie pocket. When I looked to him again, he was smiling and blushing lightly. Cola and I was still chatting, but when he saw Frank's hand in my pocket, he looked at me confused. Using one shoulder, I shrugged softly.
Looking at the sky, I noticed the sun was almost down. It was close to dusk. We had to set up a base because it was commonly known not to be safe at night.
"Let's find somewhere to crash for the night." I said.
"Why? I got loads of energy left." Cola said.
"Well I don't and we're travelling with a human. You can take first look out." I sassed.
He shrugged. The next 20 minuets we spent looking for a place to stay. So where with an adequate security. We finally found someplace and went upstairs after I checked the house. There was one bedroom, that was farely sutible to sleep in and I was surprised that we were able to actually find somewhere like this.
Frank instantly faceplanted the bed. Pulling the bag off my shoulders, I threw some clothes at him. Cola had taken the bathroom, so I ripped my first layer of clothes off. Changing into something more comfortable to sleep in, yet I was still able to fight in. When I turned around, Frank was just looking at me.
"What?" I asked.
"N-nothing." He called back blushing.
Pulling his own shirt off, I packed the bag of the old clothes and pulled out a can of beans for Frank. When I looked back, he was pulling the joggers up. Staring intently, I let my mind wander to thoughts of me ripping them off again. Darker lustful thoughts entered my mind.
Clearing away instantly when Frank coughed nervously. My eyes snapped up and I looked at his face, my own wasn't viable in the dark. But because my senses were heightened, I was able to see him clearly. He was blushing.
Moving over to one side of the bed, I lied down after handing Frank the beans. Sitting next to me, he shoved his face full. For some reason I felt like running my hand through his hair, but it was caught by many dreads.
Tutting lightly, I leant over into my bag pulling out a hairbrush and gesturing to his hair. Taking a minuet to stop eating, he looked at me.
"You want to brush my hair?" He asked.
Nodding, he shrugged and I sat behind him. Gently pulling the strands apart with the hairbrush. He kept on moving back with the hairbrush, so I was just pulling his head back.
"Stop doing that." I said.
"What?"
"Moving with the brush. Keep still." I ordered.
He huffed and I tried again and he still moved. Sighing, I moved closer, pulling his back to my chest. My legs subcontiously twisted over his into a comfortable position and I managed to get the majority of his hair brushed.
"Up or down?" I asked softly into his ear.
"Up?" He replied as a question.
Getting a band from my wrist were I kept them, I slowly worked on pulling his hair up. Managing to pull it into a fashionable messy bun. Afterwards, I just wrapped my arms around his middle, burying my face in his neck.
His composure straightened, but he didn't go to move away. The only time he did move was to place his empty can of beans on the side desk. Then he went back to me cuddling into his back.
"Do you want me to move?" I asked into his ear.
He shivered slightly and shook his head. Slowly, he relaxed into my stomach, letting me wrap my arms around him fully.
"What are you?" He asked out of nowhere.
Fuck, I wasn't expecting that. My head shot up, trying to get a peak of his expression, but all I could see was his hands in his lap. Waiting a couple of seconds, I sighed heavily before saying anything.
"I'm not a zombie." I said.
"I know. What are you?"
"What do you think I am?"
"I have no idea, but I know you aren't human. Tell me, please."
"I'm a vampire." I whispered.
Sitting up a bit, he moved so he could face me. He looked at me, where he assumed to be my eyes and nodded. Leaning forward, he kissed my cheek before turning forward again. He. Kissed. Me. It was only on the cheek, but damn. He relaxed again and I pulled him a little tighter to my chest. Smiling like a school girl.
Leaning backwards, he layed down on top of my chest. Before turning to rest his head on my chest. A few minuets passed before his breathing pattern changed and he was asleep.
Attempting to sleep myself, cola walked in the room. Walking over to the bed and sitting next to me. Looking at him quizzingly. My hand instantly went to pull Frank closer, subconsciously of course.
"So who's the human and why are you saving him?" He asked.
"Frank and I'm helping him get back to his mom." I replied.
"Yeah but after yesterday, I thought that you wouldn't want to be around humans."
"Why would I be like that?"
"Because of that whole dark and brooding thing you do."
"I don't do a dark brooding thing."
"Yes you do. But is he it?"
"Is he what?"
"Y'know..."
"Enlighten me."
"Is he your mate?"
My body froze. My movements of stroking Frank's side coming to a halt. Opening my mouth, I didn't know what to say. Frank, my mate? Shaking my head lightly, cola raised an eyebrow.
"I-I don't know." I managed to strangle out.
"Find out. Tell him your name." He replied.
"But what if he isn't and then he knows my name. He could use that against me." I said.
Frank must've sensed my panic because he cuddled further into me. Kissing my clothed chest. Looking down at him and back to cola, he laughed at my scared, shocked face.
"I don't think he would. You don't have to do it straight away, think about it." He replied. "I gotta do look out, get some sleep."
Nodding, he left the room and I snuggled into Frank. Focusing on making my breathing slower. Eventually, I fell asleep. Deep and dreamless. Yet oddly comforting.
"Shit! Fuck! Crap!" Was what I woke up to in the morning.
Opening my eyes, Frank was sat up and not looking at me. Shooting up, I assessed the room to make sure there was no immediate threat. There wasn't. Looking back at Frank, I checked him over to make sure he was okay.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"You haven't got your hood up and I felt like I was intruding your privacy. Sorry to wake you." He said.
His voice was small and I could tell, even though he wasn't looking at me that he was blushing. Smiling lightly, I flopped back onto my pillow.
"Don't worry darlin' I can trust you right?"
He nodded slowly. Sitting up again, I shuffled closer. Leaning my head on his shoulder. Slowly, my hand found its way into his and I'm not sure which one of us had done it.
"Then you can look kid." I said softly.
"Why do you call me that? You know my name." He asked.
"Because you don't know my real name." I said before my voice lowered. "Yet..."
He nodded again. Turning towards me slowly. Smiling half heartedly. When he my face, his mouth dropped open. Blushing, I lifted my free hand to cover my face when he grabbed and and leant forward. Kissing me on the cheek. Again.
Blushing even harder, I managed to wrap my arms around him in a hug. He reciprocated it softly. Burying my face in his arms, there was a knock at the door. Cola walked in a second after later, smiling knowingly at me when he noticed I had my hood down. Smiling back, he told us we had 10 minuets before we had to leave. When he left the room, Frank got up off the bed, shivering at the cold air.
standing up myself, I shuffled over to him. wrapping I'm a hug when my body was at a higher temperature. He sighed before moving away after a couple moments to get dressed. Going into the next room, I changed my own clothes as well. Cola knocked on the door again, informing us that we had to leave. giving Frank a breakfast bar, we left the house, moving in the direction of the base.
All three of us chatted on the way there instead of just previously me and Cola. He thought that me and Frank were soulmates. Honestly, I didn't know what to think anymore. all I knew was that it made me happy being around Frank and that's all I cared about right now. I hadn't been happy since before I thought my brother was dead. but now there's a possibility that he isn't and I don't know how to feel about it. Not wanting to get my hopes up to high incase it wasn't true. But they were already high, because I would leap in joy at just the thought of Mikey being alive.
Frank noticed I had gone quiet, lost in thought. nudging my arm, I turned to him and he smiled at me. Smiling back from under my hood, the conversation eased back. Me joining this time. Making our way down the mostly deserted streets of New Jersey.
"Hey cola, are you sure about that rumour? I've been looking for my brother since he went missing. I haven't found him yet. I just assumed th-that he was..." I trailed off.
"Everything I heard, there were rumours of your brother helping someone on the other side of NJ." Cola replied. "They were just descriptions. don't get your hopes up too high."
I shrugged ang Cola changed the subject. We were walking for a coupe more hours before Frank started to slow down. Suggesting we take a break, I helped Frank onto a nearby rooftop. Handing him some food to eat and a bottle of water.
"i'm hungry." Cola announced.
"You don't eat cola." I reminded.
"Yeah I know, but I'm hungry." He said.
"When was the last time you fed?" I asked him.
"Willing souls are hard to come by. When was the last time you ate... fresh?" He asked.
"The other day. They don't tas-"
"Bullshit. They are dead and rotting, that's probably why you got ill." Cola interrupted.
Choosing to ignore him, I looked off over the houses. Thinking of the best route to where we needed to go. I heard a sigh from Cola behind me and the shuffling of material. He put hiss now exposed arm near my mouth, suggesting I drink from him. Shaking my head, I moved back.
"Gee, just fucking drink." Cola insisted.
"My name is Party you dumb ass demon." I growled at him.
Cola rolled his eyes at me, making his eyes glow in challenge. My eyes sparked blue on their own accord. Colas eyes being red. We growled at each other for a few moments.
"I said I'd follow you, not watch you kill yourself." Cola said to me.
I stomped in response, moving away from him. He had a point. If I was going to continue eating the way I am, I'm going to end up dead. My shoulders sagged and I growled in defeat. Going over to Cola, I grabbed his arm. Moving away from frank, who was watching us with, for some reason, an amused smirk on his face. I pulled Cola out of Franks site of us, telling him to stay there.
Cola lifted his arm to my mouth again, letting my fangs grow, I attached my mouth to his arm. Piercing the skin and beginning to drink. It wasn't human, but it was the bet I've had in months. I moaned in pleasure, whimpering at the sweet taste that blessed my mouth. Cola let me drink quite a bit. As a demon, he didn't need blood to survive.
"Someone was hungry." Cola snidely remarked.
I growled as he tried to retract his arm. Trying in vain to pull it back to my lips. It tasted so good. So fresh. So alive. Cola laughed, ripping his hand away from my hungry lips somehow. Walking back round the corner to Frank. God I was still hungry. Push it aside Gerard, you have work. You have to find Mikey, you have to help Frank. Who could be your potential mate. I'll just have to say goodbye to him as well, so what's the point in knowing if we are mates.
Wiping my mouth, I turned the corner again, sitting on the edge of the rooftop. Frank sat next to me. Comforting me in his silent presence as we watched the unmoving city.
"Right time to go." Cola declared.
"Who made you boss?" I asked laughing as I stood.
"No one you're just doing your dark and brooding thing."
"I don't do a dark and brooding thing." I snapped back.
"Yeah you do, that's your whole vibe." Frank said from behind me.
"I thought you were on my side?"
"I'm just stating facts."
"Screw both of you."
We laughed as we began walking. After taking a few steps, I heard a noise. Sniffing the air lightly, I could smell them coming. Zombies. Looking over at Cola, he nodded. Grabbing Frank, I pulled him closer to me.
We kept on walking quickly, the noises growing louder by the second. They must be runners. Picking frank up all together, we sprinted off. Frank next to weightless in my arms as I ran.
"Oh shit. We gotta get somewhere and wait this out." Cola said as he looked over his shoulder.
Frank's arms and legs were wrapped securely around me, his face buried in my shoulder. Nodding, I gestured to the nearest house. After we all got inside, Cola went on to check if it wad clean odlf zombies as Frank and I barrecaded the front of the house.
Heading upwards, we reached the attic quickly. It smelled clean so far. Putting Frank down, I closed the door, looking around quickly.
Moments after we closed the attic door. One of those with the ladder attached. We heard banging downstairs. Frank clung onto my arm. Cola sighed, preparing to fight.
Smelling the air, I was attempting to pick out how many there were. Cola, I assumed was doing the same. There was aloud bang and we knew the front door had broken through.
"Hello?" A voice asked from behind us.
Turning quickly, I let my teeth grow slightly. There was a girl, must've been about 16. Cola smiled calmly, going over to her, signalling to be quiet.
"Fifteen." I mumbled
"What?" Frank whispered back.
"There's fifteen of them." I replied.
"You think we could take them?" Cola asked me.
"Not while I'm like this." I mumbled. "I'm ill. If I drink anymore of them, it could probably kill me."
"So we're waiting it out?" The new girl asked.
"No no we can't do that. They can smell you humans, we have to get out somehow." I replied.
She looked at me confused. Groaning could be heard from directly below us. They were attempting to jump to reach the ceiling. Standing up, I looked around.
Looking upwards, I saw the only hope the humans had. A window. Jumping, using my powers to prepell me further, I latched onto the windowsill. It was small. A tight fit. Opening it, I pushed it as wide as it would go.
Dropping down again, I barely made a sound. But frightened the girl who hadn't known where I went. Almost making her scream.
"Listen. You can probably fit through there. You're both tiny. Me and cola will go down."
"How are we going to get up there?" Frank asked.
I picked him up, making him squeak lightly. Telling him to hold on, I jumped upwards, clinging to the windowsill with one hand.
"There we are." I whispered.
Helping Frank by pushing him upwards, I smiled when he was on the roof. Giving me a thumbs up.
I dropped down once again. Cola picked up the girl, leaping as I did and helping her up. It was a lot quicker than I did it. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated. He closed the window after himself.
"just kill, don't drink. You can feed from me later." Cola said.
"Fucking demons." I muttered as the first vombie had scrambled to meet us.
Cola had taken care of that one, I went round them and started on the next. Ripping it's head of with my hands. The next 15 were all killed brutily by us and I only drained one of them. For which I was violently sick as soon as we got out of the house. The black sludge making its way through my body.
"Party, are you okay?" Frank called down from the roof.
"They never taste any better." I muttered before shouting. "Peachy."
Cola slapped me on the back as I wiped my mouth. I saw him jump up the the roof, landing perfectly. Hearing Frank mutter something along the lines of 'show off'.
Now it was my turn and in my state I wasn't going to be as coordinated as him. But when am I ever. Vampires are meant to have perfect reactions and I still fall over nothing.
Running up a bit, I jumped. Jumping on every windowsill there to help me up. When I got to the top, I did a roll to land smoother.
"ten outa ten." Frank had smirked.
"Shut up tiny."
"I am not that small." He had pouted.
"We need to find somewhere to rest." Cola had announced.
"Why?" The girl had asked. "It's not even midday."
"Yes but I'm ill, and I don't operate well in the sun." I had said.
"The sun is a bitch. Doesn't help me either. We can pick this up tomorrow. Dawn." Cola said.
"Again, taking my leader thing." I mumbled. "I'm not even being dark and brooding right now."
Frank chuckled. Grabbing my hand with his own. Probably hoping I would walm him, which of course I would. Even if it drained me dry. Which I hoped it wouldn't.
"Don't worry, you're hot when you're dark and brooding." Frank had whispered.
Cola looked back, smiling at me. I rolled my eyes and brought Frank closer. When we finally ran out of roof to walk on, cola and I had a job of getting them both down.
We broke into the most secure looking house on that street. Frank, the girl, cola and I wandering into the bedroom after I had scoped the house.
"Dibs this room." The girl had said. "With the other human."
She grabbed Frank's wrist pulling him with her as she jumped closer to the bed. Cola and I probably freaked her out. We weren't human. As she flopped down, she pulled Frank with her.
"I'm gay." Frank had said as he fell.
"And he definately has a crush on dark and brooding here."
"Cola I will kill you."
"You know you can't."
"I will drain you then."
"You do that anyway. I don't need blood to survive dumbass."
Frank was blushing on the bed as I pulled cola out. Dragging him by his ear. As soon as we were away from the humans, he leaned his head to the side to expose his neck.
I hissed at him, letting my fangs grow. He knew how much I hated this. But he knew that was how I survive. Leaning forwards, I latched my teeth onto his neck. Drinking his blood hungrily. My eyes blue and eager for as much as possible.
"Gee. Okay. You good?" Cola has whispered.
Hissing loudly, I continued to drink. He just shrugged and let me continue. I guess it is a benefit for me that he is a demon. However, they are known to be the most annoying species. That point was often proven with Cola. Nobody knew his real name. Of course they didn't. He would tell the world when he found his true love.
It's annoying having to call him after a brand. He only wanted to be called that after he found out it used to contain cocain. Again annoying.
When I was pretty sure that I had drunken enough, I let go of his neck. Wiping my mouth with my thumb and trailing it back into my mouth.
"You better?" Cola asked.
"Yep." I smiled.
"Wait did you get him out of his dark and brooding mood?" Frank's voice called from behind cola.
Cola jumped. Moving away from me and walking away chuckling. Probably going it check the house.
"Yep. Never really was my scene."
"Thats your entire thing ya know. Tall, dark, handsome and brooding." Frank exclaimed. "Duh."
I rolled my eyes, laughing slightly afterwards with him. Frank making jokes and me adding to it. Creating a happy apnosphere for both of us.
Cola ended up staying with the girl as Frank and I passed out curled into eachother. I woke up first, staring at him for the majority of the morning.
When he woke up, he cuddled further into my side. Leaning his head up to look at me. I could see in his eyes that he was contemplating something.
"What's up darlin'?" I questioned softly.
"I... Well... I wanted to... Can I...?" He trailed off unsure.
Raising my eyebrow, he sighed heavily. Shaking his head, some of his hair covered his face. Carefully, I brushed it to the side. Smiling down at the beautiful boy.
"Can I kiss you?" He whispered quickly.
My eyes widened but I must've nodded anyway. I can't recall. All I know was that he was leaning closer to me with his eyes closed. I mimicked his actions.
It seemed like an eternity before our lips met. The wait was like driving a stake through my heart. We both sank into the kiss immediately. Our lips moving together in sync for a few seconds. He pulled away soon after, making me confused.
"Why did you want to do that?" I asked.
"I like you poison." He replied. "a lot. And I don't know why."
I nodded slowly, cuddling into him again. A few seconds later, cola walked in. His face tired and his neck full of hickeys.
"You need to step up and find your mate soon. You're seriously missing out." He said.
"What?!" I asked loudly.
I stood up going over to him and looked at his neck. Yep definately hickeys. Looking at his eyes as he made them glow.
"Green." I whispered. "Well done cola. Found yours before mine. If my brother is alive I owe him $50."
Frank walked over to us, curling into my side. He looked confused and looked up at me for an explanation.
"In our world and culture. When we tell our soul mate our real names, we'll then we figure out that we belong together. It's evident when it happens - high sex drive, possessiveness, ego increase, and eye colour." I said.
"I have all of that except the ego increase." Cola said.
"Yeah I don't think you can hold anymore ego." Frank sassed. "And you guys bet on it."
"No my brother made me bet that I wouldn't find my mate before cola. He won the bet. Now I loose $50 and I still don't have a mate."
"Are you sure about that party?" He said.
"Shut up cola." I warned.
"I heard you guys, it's pretty obvious." Cola said.
"Cola. I'm warning you." I growled, Frank moved away from me.
"Really Party, you can't even say your own name. Do you even remember it? Has it been that long." Cola replied.
My eyes sparked and my fangs prodded from my mouth. I let out a hiss at him and launched forwards in an attack. He held me back from his neck as I snapped my teeth at him.
"What the fuck. Party. Stop it. " Frank said sternly.
I glared at cola under me, before standing up and moving away from both of them. Cola brushed himself off dramatically after standing up.
Letting my fangs retreat and my eyes go back to human looking, I moved to the front door. Opening it and looking outside before sniffing the air.
There was nothing nearby, thankfully. I made my way back into the main room. Throwing cola a glare before sitting on the sofa.
"What did he mean by that? " Frank asked. "He said he heard us?"
"He has this idea in his head that we're mates." I replied.
"And are we?" He pressed.
"I don't know. You don't know my real name and there's no point in testing it."
"Why not?"
"Even if you are, you have to go to your mom in a few days. So it's better like this okay." I whispered. "Maybe we shouldn't be so close either."
I stood up, moving into a different room. It was still dark out and we didn't need to leave for another hour. Making my way into the most secure and smallest place in the house.
I broke down into tears. My hood up and covering my face and where my heart would have beat it sank instead. Pulling it downwards harshly. Feeling actual pain. I pushed against the tears as well. But it wasn't any use. They built up painfully behind my eyes. Making my head spin and more tears gather.
I don't know how long I was in there before I heard a knock at the door. I smelt cola outside. I threw an insult and told him to go away but I could still sense him outside the room. I wiped away my tears with my sleeve. Not letting new ones replace them.
Opening the door, cola immediately stepped forwards. Gathering me in a hug. I hugged back, understanding that he couldn't physically say an apology. Its something demons can't do.
"I didn't know." He whispered. "You okay?"
I couldn't say anything so I shook my head. His grip tightened and I nearly broke down again. This was too much. If my brother was alive I hope he still has Ray. I miss them both.
"Lets go find Mikey. He's the one I should be focusing on. Not some stupid feelings." I muttered.
Cola nodded, letting me go and looking at my eyes. He smiled lightly and dragged me into the other room. Everyone had there things already there. I picked my bag up and walked out the door quickly.
Frank stayed away, his head low and a sad look on his face. I couldn't stand it. We walked for about two hours before it started to rain.
"We can keep going. It's better, it masks our scents." Cola called to me.
"Okay. Let's keep walking." I replied to all of them.
Cola and his mate, who's name turned out to be Sophie, huddled close together for warmth. It must be freezing for the humans. Dropping behind cola and Sophie, I made myself next to Frank.
"What do you want?" he asked harshly.
"To make sure you don't freeze to death." I replied softly.
"Why do you care?" He asked back.
I couldn't answer that one. All I knew is that I cared a lot about him. I offered my hand to him, warmth already radiating off it.
Looking at it for a second he shook his head. Continuing forwards at a slightly faster pace. It started hailing a minuet later. Thick rocks of ice falling from the sky.
"We can't go in this." I called to cola.
"This area smells clean to me. Next house?"
"Yeah let's go." I called back.
Frank was shivering now. I could feel his cold from where I was standing. Walking over to him, I smoothly picked him up. Radiating my heat quickly.
"Stop it just let me down."
"I do care about you Frank, a lot. And it would kill me to see you freeze." I said looking him directly in the eyes.
He struggled for a few more seconds before giving up and going limp on my arms. Soaking up all the heat he could get.
I carried him into the nearest house. Cola scoping it out as the two humans stood next to me. Ready to make a quick edit if need be.
"All clear." Cola gave the call.
Frank got to work barricading the door. A second later, I decided to help.
After it was efficiently secured, cola pulled me by the ear. Kissing his mates cheek as he painfully pulled me out the room.
"Dude seriously. You're heartbroken. Talk to me." He said.
"It hurts. Okay? Is that what you wanted?" I replied. "I've met him and I know that he's going to leave but I think you're right."
"Maybe you could go wjth him?" Cola responded.
"I want to stay with my family. The killjoys remember. I was so lost without Mikey. He's the smart one." I said.
"Okay first off, rude. Second, what if Frank wants to stay with you after you tell him your name. It works both ways you know."
"But what about his family?"
"They might not even be alive." Frank said.
I was too caught up in my emotions I didn't see him standing there. I looked at him in confusion, urging him to continue.
"I just know she was going to the other side of the state to a specific base because she thought I was there. Some people she was trailing with split up and came to the base I was at." He explained. "They might have made it or they..."
Cola had walked off at this point, leaving me and Frank in the room alone. I didn't know what to say. Who would?
This is even more messed up than before. If there mom made it then its a good thing but it also means I loose him. But if she's dead then it is a bad thing but it also means I have a chance.
Frank grabbedy hand, pulling me into the nearest bedroom, shutting and locking the door behind him.
I looked away while he pulled some clothes out of his bag and began to get changed scoping the room out.
It wasn't that long before he had changed. Demanding I did the same. I didn't get the same amount of privacy. He started at my face as I took my jeans and boxers off. His eyes almost flickering down.
I pulled a fresh pair of boxers on before some joggers. Pulling my shirt off he rushed forwards. Pulling me into a hug and onto the bed.
I left my shirt off, letting him do whatever he wanted. He cuddled into my side and traced circles on my chest with his fingers.
"You can't do this to me." He said. "You can't be nice one second then cold the next. I like you, you might have the answer why. Even if we're not then you know I won't tell anyone."
I sighed heavily. Pulling him closer and kissing the top of his head. In turn, he kissed my shoulder. We stayed in silence for a few minuets before I spoke up.
"If you are and your mom is there. Then what?" I asked.
"I could say my goodbye to her or she could come with us. I don't know. We'll figure it out."
"How old are you?" I asked softly.
"I'm 19 why?" he asked back.
"High sex drive." I repeated from before.
"What? Oh... So Umm..." He whispered.
Sitting up, I pulled him with me, looking him in the eyes. Moments later, a few tears fell involuntary from my eyes. I embraced Frank again, soaking in his scent. The only people that knew my name where the killjoys.
"My name - my name is Gerard." I said quickly. "Gerard Way."
He looked at me softly. His hands gripping my shoulders. This felt... Right. So perfect. It was weird. Nothing had changed for me, but just more intense.
I let my eyes glow there usual blue for a second before Frank gasped. I looked in his eyes for the reflection. They were changing. Slowly albeit. But changing. He smiled lightly before jumping on top of me. Both of us still sitting up, but now he was straddling me.
"You better not get an ego now." He whispered in my ear.
That was it. All the feeling inside me, swelled and bubbled to the surface. I smiled softly and grabbed Frank's face. Leaning forwards quickly, I brought him into a kiss.
