5. A Date With Sexy
Amari POV
The problem with her mother was that she was her best friend. She looked exactly like her mother and was the same size as her mother. So she shopped in her mother's closet as if it were her own.
"Mom! This is a new dress?" She grabbed a sparkly silver dress from her mom's closet and held it up to her body. This would look so great on her, but it needed to be shorter by a few inches. She would work it out regardless.
"Little girl, get out of my closet"
"But mom! I have a hot date tonight, I need this."
After a few texts between Calvin and her, he finally said they should meet up and go out to dinner. She was eager since the last guy that asked her out, took her to Applebee's on a Friday during Happy Hour, got them discounted drinks, and a basket of wings, and expected to have sex with her that night.
She wasn't about the money with guys, but she was not a cheap thrill either.
She had a feeling Calvin was not like that. He was always a gentleman back when she knew him before. Yolanda always raved about how sweet and romantic he was. That only had to get better with age. He sure looked better with age.
"This little dress is a little too grown and sexy for you." Her mother took the dress from her and hung it back in the closet.
Her mother, no way showed her age. She was young, having her when she was sixteen, followed by her younger sister when she was eighteen. So they all grew up together. Her mother looked twenty-five, thus only slightly older than her. She had her same brown-skinned complexion, but she had dimples and a nose piercing. She had long, curly hair she wore straight, and a banging ass body.
"Mommy, please! I like this guy! He's so hot and I need to look good."
Her younger sister, Osanna, walked in holding a glass bowl filled with cereal and milk. She scooped cereal into her mouth and started talking with food in her mouth. "Another boy toy? You don't need another one."
She rolled her eyes at her sister, the prude. Opposite of her in so many ways, except that she looked like her and her mother's triplet. Defiant and wanting to be different, she cut all her hair off at eighteen, grew it out, dyed it blonde, then pink, then shaved it off again. Now she had loc extensions in her hair. She wore a nose hoop and had a lip piercing and tattoos all over each arm.
"No one called for you!"
"Hey, I live here, you don't."
"Okay, my little Barbie doll." Her mother had been calling her that since she was born. "You can have the dress, as long as I get grandbabies out of it."
She groaned loudly. Her sister laughed. She grabbed the dress and, saying nothing else, she left the house.
She had so much to do to prepare for her date. She showered, shaved everything, oiled everything, sprayed the best perfume, straightened her hair, and then took another hour to do her face makeup, even though she went for the natural look.
She decided to leave the dress as is because it fit her body so perfectly. No need to make it shorter and show everything. She had not been on a real date in a minute, and she felt nervous for no reason. One, she knew Calvin and the type of guy he was. Two, no matter what it was a win for her going out with her old crush.
He even decided to pick her up. Normally, she would never tell a guy where she lived, but again, she knew Calvin. Unless he changed somehow and was a serial killer, he was harmless.
"You look fantastic!" he said to her when she came out of her apartment to meet him.
"You like this old dress?" She spun around for him to get the full effect. Nice shapely legs, big round booty, small waist, flat tummy, and enough breasts to keep his eyes there all night.
"The dress, the everything," he said and took her hand. "Good thing I planned a special night for us, you looking this good."
She had to stop herself from blushing and giggling like a schoolgirl. He looked handsome as well, in dark slacks, and a dark-fitted shirt, his tattoos on his arms and neck looked so sexy to her. The things she imagined doing to them. She dated many men who seemed as handsome as Calvin, but Calvin stood apart from any guy she knew. If she had to detail her ideal guy, he would be all of that.
He led her to his black CRV car, not a car she would have thought he drove. She was expecting something sportier. He was young, hot, and single. He needed a red convertible or something. But the car was clean and smelled good, so he didn't smoke or anything. It was spotless like he just got it cleaned or it was new.
"Nice car."
"Thanks. I work at a car dealership, and I change it up quite often."
That explained some things.
"You like Japanese food?"
"I like anything."
"Good."
From her downtown apartment, he headed off, and they talked about what they had been up to in the last couple of years. She told him about transferring to Missouri State University, pledging, and building her following by making YouTube videos until she became a serious influencer making good money before she graduated. She expanded to TikTok, and they loved her more on that platform.
"So you make videos all day. Easy."
"Ha! You would think. I have to write out what I plan to film, video, and edit it, make a schedule to release these videos, and release them in a time window that gets the most hits. It's very serious stuff Calvin, not fun and games."
"What type of videos?"
"Well...several I suppose. I started with GRWM videos and they took off so then I-"
"I'm sorry, what is GRW...M? You're saying that like I'm supposed to know."
She let out a small chuckle. "Get ready with me."
"What? So like, you change clothes on camera?"
She laughed. "Boy! Be serious! I just show them OOTD...sorry, outfits of the day, do my make-up, and hair. Sometimes bonus content I take them shopping with me. I just started to do "What I Eat in A Day" content. I have sponsors that send things and I use them in my videos. I don't have to buy half the things I use."
"That sounds like a hustle."
"Pays well."
"You were always a smart kid, I liked that about you."
She huffed at him. "Kid? Mr. Calvin, I'm only three years younger than you."
"Four." He grinned at her. "You were seventeen when you started at Truman. I was twenty-one. You looked like jailbait."
She smiled a bit at that. "Me? Hardly. My birthday is in September. I turned eighteen."
"I know, oh, we all knew."
"We? Who?"
"Me and my frat."
"You and your frat cared that I turned eighteen?"
"Yeah. You were one of the baddest chicks there, had us guys thirsting."
Again, she smiled hearing the compliment. It made little sense though, he was with Yolanda from day one.
"What did Yolanda think?"
"She didn't know I had a thing for you. You were sweet, innocent Amari Jenkins, the brothers wanted to defile you so bad."
She groaned and rolled her eyes at that. She sort of was an Alpha Stan back then. They constantly gave her attention, so she was constantly around them. Now she knew why. They were all trying to take her virginity.
And one of them did. She would not tell Calvin that his chapter President, the finest of all the Alphas, pretty boy Javon Nichols was the lucky one. In her young mind, he swept her off her feet, made the right moves, and she gave up her virginity to him. The things he taught her young mind, she shivered thinking about them. Except, he was not trying to have a serious relationship with her, just playing with her emotions.
He wondered why Javon did not brag about it to the entire fraternity. At least he gave her that much respect.
Calvin took her to Kobe's Steakhouse in Westport Plaza. She had not been before, and dinner was lovely. Calvin was great, talking about his work at the car dealership in the finance department. He helped people get approved for car loans. That was not glamorous at all, and she would be bored out of her mind.
After dinner, he took her hand and walked her back to his car.
"You think it was fate we ran into each other after all these years?"
She had not thought about it like that. Maybe. He had to prove himself, and she was ready to see it.
"Me and my girls typically stay in every weekend, watch movies, eat junk food, and talk about how disgusting men are."
He stopped walking and stood in front of her.
"You know I'm not like that. I like you Amari, and I want to see you again...and again and again."
He said the right things. On the drive back to her place, they were mostly quiet. She was thinking about how she wanted to do all the things with Calvin, including lick every last tattoo. She knew he was a fantastic lover, or at least that's how he was. Yolanda used to brag about the things they did in bed. In her young, inexperienced mind, it made her fantasize more about Calvin doing all the things with her.
Now was her chance.
Calvin was a gentleman and walked her to her front door.
"Next date, you can pick the place if you want or-"
She stopped his talking by throwing herself at him, her lips pressed against his, kissing him. He kissed her back, his arms wrapped around her waist, and held her there. It was the best kiss ever.
"Damn little Amari, I see you have grown up."
"Stop calling me little, I'm grown."
"I know baby, I see," he said, glancing over her body.
She opened her front door and pulled him inside. She was about to show him how all grown up she was. Sex on the first date, she was not opposed to it, and Calvin was down with it as well. Between the kisses and pulling off each other's clothes, they finally made it to the bedroom, and he was everything she thought he would be and more.
Now she wished he were her first.
Oh well, she had him right where she wanted him now.
"Amari, you know I'm not a guy that does this, but you...you know you got me." They were in bed, naked, and her mind went back to the way she licked over his sexy tattoos that covered his chest and arms. "I hope you're feeling the same way."
"Boy, you know I've been crazy about you." She smiled and kissed him.
"Bet." He snuggled her to his chest. "I just want to be straight with you girl. What I have going on in my life."
"You have me now!" She kissed his chest.
"And a daughter. I have a daughter. Yolanda and I-"
"What the fuck did you just say?" She moved away from him, in all his naked sexiness, and stepped out of the bed. "You have a mother fucking kid and you didn't tell me until after you fucked me? Are you serious right now?"
"Amari, that doesn't change us!" He scooted over in the bed, trying to touch her, but she moved away.
"Fuck that! I don't do kids Calvin! You've gots to go!"
She stomped away from the bed, into her bathroom, and slammed the door.
What? The? Hell?
