A week after the Ball...
Dipper Pines sat down on the couch and turned on his phone. He checked for texts from people, scrolling through the app. As he swiped, he started to think about Bill. He sighed dreamily at the thought of the blonde's perfect face. Dipper kept swiping until he found the one contact he was thinking about.
Bill.
Dipper grinned when he saw Bill's number appear on his screen, and decided to start a conversation with him.
/////: Texting time with Billdip! :\\\\\
Dipper: hi Bill!

Bill <3: Ok, see u then! ♡
Dipper: bye! ♡
/////: Texting time over! :\\\\\
Dipper closed the app and looked at the time. 3:30 PM, the numbers seemed to screech. Shit, he's gonna be here soon!, he thought, scrambling off the couch and into the bathroom.
Dipper rushed to take off his clothes. He hopped in the shower and began to clean himself really quickly. Once he climbed out, he pulled a towel around his waist and hair.
Dipper toweled off after drying his feet and covered himself with the towel again. Then he ran into his room and pulled out a red and black flannel, a gray t-shirt, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, and some white socks. After getting dressed, he ran back into the bathroom and brushed his teeth while simultaneously trying to do the same to his mop of tangled brown hair.
He walked into Mabel and Pacifica's room, wanting to tell them where he was going so they wouldn't worry. Dipper pushed open the door and walked in on the two making out. He blushed.
"Uh, I'm going out to see a movie. I'll be back around 7 or 8." Dipper said.
Mabel and Pacifica pulled apart, startled at his sudden appearance.
"O-Ok! S-See you!" Mabel stuttered out, a tomato red blush still evident on her face.
Dipper giggled at his sister.
"Bye Mabes. Bye Pacifica." He said, waving as he walked out of the room. He ran downstairs and pulled on his shoes. Dipper grabbed his blue messenger bag off the hook beside the door, remembering to grab his phone off the couch and pick his keys up off the shelf. He opened the door and stepped outside into the almost-blinding sunlight as a golden Audi pulled up in front of the house. The window of the sedan rolled down, revealing a hot blonde in aviator sunglasses. Dipper locked the front door of the house, then ran up to the car.
"Hey Pinetree. Ready to go?" Bill said, moving the sunglasses up to his forehead.
"Y-Yeah." Dipper stammered, blushing as he walked around to the side of the vehicle and climbed into the passenger seat. Bill drove off as soon as the door was shut and Dipper had buckled in. (Wear your seatbelt).
A few minutes of silence passed, and neither boy had done anything to initiate any type of interaction. Until Bill turned on the radio. Disco Girl started to play and Dipper couldn't help but grin. He looked over at Bill, who had a slight smile as well.
"Disco girl," Bill started to sing.
"Coming through," Dipper continued, his grin was face-splitting at this point.
"THAT GIRL IS YOUUU!" They sang together. Both young adults started to laugh, and Bill turned up the radio even higher.
The rest of the ride to the movie theater was filled with them screaming the lyrics to random pop songs. When they pulled up to the theater and parked the car, neither of them could stop laughing.
"Hahaha, oh, that was fun." Bill said, laughter starting to die off. He wiped a few tears off his face.
"Yeah." Dipper giggled. He opened the door to the car and grabbed his bag. Bill followed and they slammed the doors shut.
"So what do you want to watch?" Dipper asked as they walked in.
"I dunno, you can pick, if you want." Bill replied after locking his car with the key.
Dipper walked up to the ticket booth and looked at all the different movies posted up for 4:30 PM. Murder on the Orient Express! Infinity War! Hotel Transylvania 3! ,the sign read in bold lettering.
"Wanna watch Murder on The Orient Express?" Dipper asked, turning to Bill.
"Sure!" Bill nodded. (Sorry guys, I would put Infinity War in but I haven't watched it yet so...plz no spoil.)
"Two adult tickets for Murder on The Orient Express, please." Bill said to the guy manning the booth.
"Alright, that'll be $21.69." the man said in a monotone voice, typing in something on the computer and printing out the receipt and two yellow tickets.
Bill took out his credit card and handed it to the guy, whose nametag read Carl. Carl scanned the card and handed the card, the tickets, and the receipt back to Bill.
"Have a nice day." Carl said.
"Thanks!" Dipper waved before following Bill further into the theater.
"I'm going to go get us some popcorn. I'll pay for it, I feel bad that you had to pay for those tickets." Dipper said, pulling out his wallet.
"Pinetree, it's fine. I'm rich, have you seen my car?" Bill said.
"But still. I insist." Dipper ran off before Bill could say anything else.
After Dipper came back from getting them some snacks, they walked off in the direction of the room that their movie was being shown in. Dipper followed Bill into Viewing Room 3.
"We should sit in the back, that way there's more privacy and a better view of the screen." Bill suggested. He turned into one of the top aisles, and Dipper swore he saw the blonde wink at him before he turned around. The brunette blushed slightly as they sat down, briefly glancing at Bill's face.
The movie started playing as Dipper and Bill plunged their hands into the bucket of popcorn sitting in between them. Their fingers touched inside the box, and they both blushed. Bill twined his fingers with Dipper's, savoring his warm, soft touch.
They didn't pull their hands out for a while.
The entire time they watched the movie, Dipper and Bill could barely keep their eyes off of each other. At one point, Dipper even laid his head on Bill's shoulder. He didn't move his head until after the movie ended and they had to leave.
"That was a great movie, right?" Dipper said as they walked out of the theater. He slightly leaned on Bill as they walked to the car.
"Yeah..." Bill sighed dreamily. He opened the door and separated from Dipper for a moment to sit down and turn the engine on. Dipper sat in the passenger seat again, only this time, he held Bill's hand the whole way there.
The two discussed the movie and how much they liked it on the way back to Dipper's house. (I decided the whole "dinner as a first date" thing was a little too cliche, sorry, I'll put it in next chapter) When they parked in Dipper's driveway, Bill walked the brunette to the door, wanting to be a gentleman and say goodbye.
"I had a really great time with you today." Dipper said, blushing.
"Me too, do you want to do this again sometime, maybe go out to dinner or to the last Pride Festival of this month?" Bill asked.
"Sure!" Dipper said. Both boys smiled.
"U-um, also I wanted to a-ask you something." Bill said, slightly tripping on his words.
"What is it?" Dipper said.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Bill got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful little gold plated ring with a tiny diamond triangle on it. Dipper gasped and covered his mouth with his hands, eyes starting to fill up with tears. Bill bit his lip.
"Yes, of course!" Dipper squealed, bouncing on his toes. Bill slid the ring on Dipper's held-out ring finger and looked down at Dipper with a face-splitting grin on his face.
Bill leaned in towards Dipper's smiling face and softly pressed his lips to Dipper's. Dipper kissed back almost immediately and tilted his head slightly to deepen the kiss. Bill slid his arms around Dipper's waist while Dipper's arms went around the blonde's neck. A warm feeling rose in both of their stomachs as they kissed, igniting flames where skin touched skin. Bill's tongue started to prod into the brunette's mouth, and it would have gotten further if Dipper's chubby, pale, short, and annoying neighbor hadn't come running over.
His name was Gideon Gleeful.
The two soulmates abruptly and reluctantly pulled apart at the sight of Gideon.
"Hello Dipper, my sweet darling." Gideon said with a heavy southern accent, lifting Dipper's hand to his lips to kiss it. Dipper pulled his hand away from Gideon's chapped mouth in disgust.
"Oh, who's this boy?" Gideon said, looking over at Bill, who was giving Gideon a death glare. If looks could kill, Dipper's neighbor would be six feet under.
"What the hell do you want, Gleeful?" Dipper snapped, glaring at the white-haired boy in front of him.
"I wanted to invite you to a romantic candlelit picnic in the forest on Saturday, but it seems you're taken." Gideon simpered.
"Sorry kid, but my boyfriend isn't interested. Name's Bill, by the way. I'm Pinetree's soulmate." Bill told Gideon, trying (and failing) to hide the fury in his voice. He pulled Dipper to his waist to emphasize his words.
"Oh. I see. Would you may-" Gideon was cut off by Dipper.
"Get lost, Gideon." Dipper retorted, pushing his short white-haired admirer away.
"Fine. Have it your way. But you will be mine, Dipper Pines! I'll break that stupid soulmate thing! Just you wait and see!" Gideon said, narrowing his eyes and backing away towards his house.
Bill had decided that he'd had enough of this little weirdo, and he shoved him face first into a bush. Gideon shrieked. After struggling for a minute, he finally got his tall white hair out from the bush and shot a terrified but furious look at the two before running down the street.
Dipper snickered as he and Bill turned to each other. Bill caught his boyfriend's giggles. Soon they were both howling with laughter and clutching their stomachs, barely being able to breathe. They laughed for a few minutes before winding down.
"Hahahaha, funny." Bill giggled, looking at the brunette.
"Well, I better get inside before my sister starts freaking out." Dipper said, gesturing towards his door.
"Yeah, probably." Bill replied. He gave Dipper another quick kiss on the lips.
"Bye, Pinetree!" Bill waved at Dipper as he walked to his car. He blew him a kiss.
"Bye, Bill!" Dipper giggled, waving back.
Dipper unlocked the door to his house as Bill got in his Audi and started the engine. They waved at each other as the blonde drove off.
Once they were out of view, both boys let out a dreamy sigh. Neither could wait for the next time they could see each other.
