Dakota's POV:

We pick up the anibiotics.

While at the pharmacy I buy some more candy.

"I have a blow up matress for you to sleep on."

"Alrighty." Carter responds.

"We dont have a guest bedroom so you need to sleep in my room."

 My phone goes off so I quickly answer it.

"Hello is this the daughter of Jack and Rose(Near far!! Wherever you are!!! Stop okay. I guess no one likes my Titanic referance) Hughes?" The person on the other end asks.

"Yes, how come?" I ask.

"I am Daryl of the police force. I have some news for you. Is  a very good friend of yours near you?"

"Yes infact we are driving to my house."

"I am sad to report that your parents were murdered last night."

"Alright thank you sir."

"Im sorry for your loss."

The line goes dead.

I turn to Carter, "Turns out we do have a spare bedroom."

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"What I mean is my parents are dead."

"Oh Dakota thats terrible."

I chuckle, "Carter if it was terrible I would be crying. Dont you get it. They abused me. They hated me. I was never cared for. Leo was my only family."

"Kota, why didnt you tell any of us?" 

"Carter, it never mattered. You never wanted to know about me. So it was just pushed to the back of my head."

"You have nowhere to stay."

"Carter we can stay at my house for now."

"But you dont have any money..."

"My family is rich. I have plenty."

"You sure?"

I nod, "Of course. Plus I know the passwords to all 10 of there bank accounts."

Silence washes over us for 20 minutes.

I plug my phone into his car and turn on a song and start singing to it.

Carter joined me in singing.

"Carter you sir, are an excellent singer."

"You too gurl."

I was about to tell him what I told Matt but I stopped myself.

"It was all my fault."

"What was?" Carter asked.

"Matt. I didnt accept his compliment. Im so stupid. He hates me now. I cant tell him Im sorry."

"Dont worry. That boy will come back. Dont you worry."

Matt's POV:

I feel really bad about breaking Kota's leg.

I never meant to.

It kinda just happened.

Ive got to tell her why I kissed her.

I need to go back to Virginia.

Her and Carter are already there.

I hop on my laptop and order tickets back home.

"Lets hope this works."

Dakota's POV:

We arrive at my house and I show Carter to the empty bedroom.

"Thanks." He says as he places his bag on the bed.

"No problem. Ill be in the kitchen if you need me." I respond.

I trun and hobble out.

I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"You are not cooking. Ill order pizza." He offers.

"Fine but you wont stop me from making breakfast."

"Deal. You make breakfast, I make lunch and we order dinner."

I nod and give hime the pizza place's number.

-20 minutes later-

The doorbell rings and the scent of pizza floods my nostrils(thats a funny word, nostrils. Gawd self stop being weird).

"Dinner is served." Carter says like a butler.

I take my pizza and turn on Netflix while Carter takes a seat next to me and opens his pizza.

"We, are pigs." I state.

"Indeed."

I scroll through Netflix, "Anything you wanna watch?"

He shakes his head.

"Attack On Titan it is." I smile clicking the show.

After about 13 episodes we finish our pizza.

"So what did you think?" I ask Carter.

He turns his head to face mine, "What the heck. The titan things are named and they eat people. I almost threw up my pizza when people got eaten. Its so disturbing. Why do you watch that?"

I shrug, "Dunno. I just do."

"What other shows are like this?" 

"None."

"I mean the ones made in Japan."

"Oh Carter mah man. You dont know what you got yourself into."

"Oh great. Another one of Dakota's crazy addictions." he says rolling his eyes.

"Carter its called anime. there are so many shows that I cant even name them all. Some of them I dont bother with. But alot are really awesome and amazing."

"Oh okay, maybe you ca."

Knock

Knock

Knock

"I'll get it."

I hoist myself up onto the crutches and make my way to the door.

I open it without seeing who was waiting behind the door.

"Matthew?!?!?!?!"

So thats it for the first book. The second will continue right after this. Im going to start #2 on 8/11/14 and probably finish it then too. I dont know why I wrote this whole thing in one day. Its kinda weird. Whelp Ima go finish up a book long overdue(So not Captured). Take care and may StarClan light your path my fellow Warriors!!!!
