BRIBERY NOELLIA. BRIBERY.

Samealine, the new nurse and I chatted for a while before I helped her clean the sick bay. While doing it, she had told me of the bad fortune that led her to our school.

After that we had talked more and more until the place went quiet. To break the silence I told her that coming to her office was only a second choice but all she did was laugh. She said I could wait in the sick bay until my math class finished but only on one condition.

I would go explain to my math teacher why I missed his class. She was really nice but I wasn't expecting her to trap me in this way. I had to accept her offer to stay.

When it was time for me to go I thanked her because I didn't want her thinking I was one of those rude kids at the school. She smiled and waved a good bye before I shut her door.

It was lunchtime and I had not set my eyes on Hannah yet so I decided to go to an empty table to sit. Starting to eat the sandwich my mum made for me, a group of favored kids walked into the cafeteria.

And of course that good for nothing dickhead, Adrick was part of them but I didn't see Hannah.

You'd probably be asking why Hannah walked with them and why I didn't? I'd love to not going to lie but I didn't actually want to be them. The girls forced themselves on boys. Most of them were not even virgins not to even talk about what they wore.

I wasn't trying to say that Hannah forced herself on boys but she loved boys a lot. A lot of boys. Especially Adrick. That's why her seeing me with him was totally wrong. So wrong.

Getting stares from them made me know they wanted to ask where Hannah was. I quickly finished my sandwich and set off to look for Hannah. I asked some of her friends but they said they had not seen her since assembly.

I went to check the library even though I knew there was no way she was going to be there. But you know what they say 'everyone changes in a lifetime'. I'm not sure if that's what they say but that was what my dad always said.

Getting tired of looking for her. Like where could have this girl gone? I had searched the janitor room, the principal's office, even the school's field. I spotted Michelle, one of Hannah's friend who was not around any boy at the moment so I felt comfortable to ask her if she had seen Hannah anywhere after assembly.

"I haven't seen her today. Have you checked the washroom?"

"Ohh yeah. I forgot, thanks." I walked briskly to the washroom and entered it, my head aching by the noise coming from it.

It was coming from juniors that felt like using our washroom sometimes. Mrs. Vienna had warned them to stop coming here because they left it messed up often but they seemed to not listen. At first I was curious as to why they wanted to use our washroom until I found one of them flirting with a boy who was a senior. They were just talking too loud for my hearing.

"No manners." I murmured.

I pretended like I had come to wash my hands. I washed them and I was about to step out when one of them called me.

"Hey Noellia, where is your best friend?"

"I'm actually looking for her," I said sternly.

"Okay." Then I left.

During Economics class, I had checked the clock in the class several times until it was 5 minutes to my next class which was P.E.

Once the bell rang, I got up swiftly to start packing my bag, "I'll send the project work to all of you individually online so don't forget to check your emails. And before I forget please don't forget to submit in two weeks time. Late submission would not be accepted." said Miss Lea, the teacher.

Getting to my locker to take my P.E kit, I unlocked it to grab the kit and locked it back. I enjoyed either changing early - when only a few girls had come - or late when most girls had gone.

I walked down the hallway with the same stare I got this morning. I released a sigh when I reached the girl's changing room. I changed quickly not to get called or talked to by anyone.

But I guessed today wasn't my lucky day.

"Noellia do you know where Hannah is?" A red-haired girl asked me.

"Nope. I haven't seen her, do you know where I can find her?"

Why was everyone asking me 'where Hannah was?' I knew she was my best friend and whenever she was missing they'd probably question me since we were close but come on. She must be in school somewhere right? I hoped.

"No, I haven't seen her that's why I'm asking." she rolled her eyes.

I dropped my things back in my locker and took out my phone to check if I had any messages from Hannah.

15 messages and 13 missed calls? Shit. Was I really a bad friend not to have noticed this earlier? Hannah must be fucked up by now. Desperate to read the messages, my phone was snatched from my hands.

I turned to see a smiling maniac. The same god damn prefect from this morning again.

Not this bi- "What do you want from me again?" I demanded giving her an annoyed face.

"You know we are not supposed to be using our phones during school hours right?" She crossed her arm looking at me intensely.

Oh gosh, why was this girl so annoying. So much of a hypocrite. I can swear to you that I had seen her use her phone during Business Studies class.

I still didn't know how she got this position. Bribery Noellia. Bribery.

Sighing I answered her, "I know but I had this important message from someone and I needed to read it. It's urgent."

"Who was it from? Your 'mama?'," she expressed 'mama' with an irritating slang voice.

You should never slang again young lady, did you know how disgusting it sounded? I was planning on saying that out loud but I knew she was going to look for anything to make me serve detention for the rest of my life, so I kept my mouth shut.

"No it was not from my mum, it was someone else."

"Then I guess I'll have to leave it in the principal's office, then you come for it after serving your detention," she winked, walking away.

What did I do to deserve this kind of punishment? Having this girl as the prefect- Did Fawcett even know about the risk they were bringing to the school? Having to stand all these things just for one year would be one big stress.
