Sacrifices (18) IMPROTANT NOTE AT START!! All followers/fans must read
A/N- IM BACK BABY!!! Woohoo! So yeah, I'm back. I DID promise that I would update as soon as I get it back. So here is the update.
To all my followers: my phone is being a bully so my PMing isn't working so I can't PM. ☹️ sorry bout that. Anyway back tot he story! (I realized I left you guys on a cliffhanger)
A/N- Hehe, you know there will be feels now.
Feliks and I stood at what was the exit. The walls were still very unstable. The whole tunnel shook.
Feliks looked at me."Let's get out of here." I nodded.
"Good idea." So we ran back the way we came. I didn't want to back to where the Cybermen were. I mean, they want to rip out my brain. My brain is fine where it is, thanks for asking. Geez, those Cybermen are rude. We snuck our way back to where the human were kept before. I looked and searched my brain for a way out.
Then I remember, when I was taken to the lab area, there was a closed off section that no Cyberman wanted to go through. I motioned Feliks to follow me.
"How do you come up with a plan this fast?" Feliks asked, amazed at my brain speed. I sigh. I really don't have time to explain who the Time Lords are right now.
"Because I'm clever. Let's go." I grabbed his wrist and dragged him along. That answer seemed to be enough because Feliks followed.
"Okay. As long as we don't die." We crept back to the lab area. Luckily, there weren't any Cybermen there. I saw the blocked off entrance. We would have to be really quiet because the Cybermen blocked it off good. Wood planks and all.
"Wait, should we really be doing this?" I looked at him, dumbfounded.
"You don't want to escape?"
"It's not that. I mean, whatever's behind that door, the Cybermen are obviously scared of. And if that scares the Cybermen, I really don't want to find out what it is for myself." I shook my head and kept on tearing away at the wood.
"Well we can't just stay here and risk the Cybermen killing us. Going through this passage is a risk we have to be willing to take." I heard distant stomping. I covered Feliks' mouth. The stomping got louder. It seemed to be coming for us.
"And that's our cue to leave! Come on!" I grabbed Feliks' hand again and pulled him towards this new tunnel.
Third Person POV
The Doctor paced inside the hiding cave. It was a very nice cave but the Doctor was worried about Allison. He had already lost too many people. He didn't want to lose Allison. The Doctor spun around to River.
"You know what? Change of plans! We're taking them to the TARDIS and dropping them off at Earth." River was curious why the Doctor changed his mind but she didn't ask. So the Doctor lead the humans to his ship.
"How are we all supposed to fit in that?! It's tiny!" Micah looked at the TARDIS and then at the Doctor. "You must be mad."
The Doctor chuckled and shook his head. "Now now Micah, when have you ever doubted me?"
"A lot of times."
"That was a rhetorical question. Anyway!" The Doctor snapped his fingers and the TARDIS' doors opened. He walked in. River turned around at the entrance.
"Just trust him okay. Please walk single file. Thank you." Then River walked inside the blue box. Micah looked around. He saw Judy shrug and stepped up.
"If this Doctor will bring the rest of us home, then I will trust him."
Judy walked up to River and pulled her shirt closer to her. She brought her head to River's ear so she could whisper.
"But if he screws up, just know that I will hold you two personally responsible and I will never forgive either of you." Judy abruptly let go of River's shirt and walked in the TARDIS. Judy was just standing in the hallway. Her eyes wide.
"Holy shi-!"
"Anyone else want to try?" River smirked as Judy walked further inside. Micah shook his head and walked inside along with everyone else. What Micah saw made him question his understanding of reality. Micah waited until everyone was inside, then he walked outside and looked in amazement at the outside of the TARDIS.
"I've heard legends of the Doctor's magical box but I never realized it was like this." Micah touched the outside and walked around. He walked back in and saw the rest of his people looking around, trying to figure out how this was possible.
Micah looked up to see the Doctor smiling. "What's funny?" The Doctor just looked at Micah and gestured to him.
"Go on, I know you want to say it." Micah didn't know what to say so his answer was more of a question than an answer.
"It's bigger on the inside....?"
"There we go!" The Doctor smugly smiled. "River, didn't I tell you he would say it?" River sighed and rolled her eyes.
"He said it. But that was after you pressured him to." The Doctor waved the comment away.
"Well he said it." The Doctor turned to the people in the TARDIS. "Let's go shall we?" The Doctor ran to the TARDIS console and pushed a couple of buttons. "Geronimo!" Then he pulled down a lever and the TARDIS disappeared.
"We're here!" The Doctor said, excited. He hopped down from the platform and opened the door. Micah looked in amazement. A moment ago he was a galaxy away. Now he was at the academy he trained at.
"But-How?" The Doctor leaned on the TARDIS.
"It's a spaceship. It travels through space. It's pretty self explanatory." Micah looked around.
"But it didn't take any time at all."
"Oh and it's also a time machine.
Anyway everybody out! I need to back and wait for Allison." He lead everybody out.
"I'm going with you." River put her hands on her hips.
"No you're not. It's too dangerous-"
"That's why I'm coming. To make sure you don't die." The Doctor sighed. He knew how stubborn his wife could be.
"Fine come on." He waved her on. When he was inside, he slammed the door in River's face. He heard River gasp as he ran to the console and pulled down a lever. River started to yell at the disappearing TARDIS.
"Come back here this instant! Doctor!"
Then he was gone.
Allison's POV
The tunnel looked like the one the Doctor used. It looked actually almost exactly like the one the Doctor uses. What was so bad about this tunnel? I looked around. I started to cough. All that running must have taken a toll on my lungs. Feliks looked pale. I felt bad. I must have pushed him too far. We continued to walk.
"Allison, I feel really dizzy. I need to rest." Feliks suddenly said. I looked back to see if anyone was following. We seemed to outrun the Cybermen who were following us. That or they didn't want to follow us. I wanted to get out in time to make sure the Doctor would be there but I saw Feliks and how hard his body was straining. He looked pale, oddly. I didn't know that could happen if you push your body's limits.
"Okay. You can rest but we need to go and make sure the Doctor is waiting for us when we get there okay? I'm sorry I rushed you. I didn't realize the strain it would put on you." Feliks nodded as he sat down. He tilted a little but he caught himself.
"How can you do this much without feeling physically bad? I sighed. I guess I have to tell him that I'm not human. I'm just worried that if Feliks knew, it would make him not trust me.
"Okay, just don't freak out okay?" Feliks nodded, a confused look on his face. "So I'm not exactly human. Well I'm not human. I'm something called a 'Time Lord' and I have a better, um, physical system or something. I can just do more physical stuff and for longer than any humans." I rubbed the back of my neck. Suddenly I started to have a coughing fit.
Feliks looked at me concerned. "Are you okay?"
I nod because no words could form.
"And I'm not freaking out because that's pretty cool. I've met aliens before. But never one like you."
I flipped my hair. "There is only one me. I-" I stopped talking because I heard distant stomping.
"I'm sorry but rest time is over. We gotta run." I helped Feliks up. He stumbled so I caught him. What is happening? I don't know a lot about humans but I'm pretty sure they are pretty resilient. (A/N-Yay. This is probably the most complicated vocabulary I've used so far.)
"Keep going. I want to try and reason with them."
"You can't reason with Cybermen!"
"Just go!" I motioned for him to go. He looked back at me and then started to walk. I turned around and started to walk where we came from. A Cyberman walked up. There was only one surprisingly.
"Hey you! Ugly, I want answers!" It was hard to see who it was. I squinted my eyes and it turned out to be none other than James. I dryly laughed under my breath. "Did you miss me?"
James just blankly stared. He started to march towards me. I put my hand in front of me, for protection. Though it wouldn't make any difference.
"Woah! I just want answers. Why are you guys scared to come in this specific tunnel?" James stopped marching. He looked at me.
"It would damage our systems."
"How? What's so important here?" James just blankly stared at me. I hit my head a few times. "Come on Allison, think think think! What do humans do when they're scared of someone killing them? They um, they they they." I snapped my fingers. "They resort to violence.
"Correct." James answered. He didn't say anything else.
"So they resort to violence. What violence? Well looking at the wreckage I would say bombs. They used bombs but what's so special about this tunnel?"
"They used different weapons in different areas." James wasn't very helpful. I looked around for clues.
"Well the walls are broken and stuff. Feliks is showing weird signs that isn't normal. Well let's see, he's dizzy, pale and looks like he's going to puke any minute. Ugh, think! What does that mean? Weapons, bombs, guns-" I look up. "Nukes." If James could nod, I bet he would.
"So if the humans used nukes and you hate this tunnel that must mean....Oh."
I widened my eyes. How could I have been so stupid? This tunnel is too dangerous even for Cybermen. That mean Feliks is in danger. I started to run back deeper into the tunnel. I heard James follow me. I didn't care, needed to get to Feliks fast. I ran even though my lungs burned.
I saw Feliks stumbling towards the exit. I reach my hand out. "Feliks! We need to get out of here fast!" Feliks turned around and what I saw made me feel guilty. His face was a sickly pale. I grabbed his hand and pulled him along.
He started to cough. "What is it? What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I shouldn't have brought us down this tunnel. It is full of radiation poisoning. That's why you're not feeling well. I'm sorry. We need to get out quickly!"
I grabbed Feliks' arm and pulled him along. I felt bad that he could barely keep up but the longer we stay, the worse we are going to get. I heard James' footsteps behind us. I looked back to see a flash of silver. I pulled Feliks faster.
Feliks suddenly stumbled over his feet and fell down.
"Come on Feliks! We need to go!" I tried to help him to his feet but he wouldn't get up. I heard James' footsteps getting closer. Feliks shook his head.
"No, I can't go on. Just leave me. I just want one person to survive this." Feliks tried his best to smile kindly. I shook my head.
"No Feliks. I can't leave you. Remember you were supposed to travel with me? You were supposed to see the stars with me. Come on. I promised you and I intend to keep that promise. Let's go!" I tried to pull him but he won't budge. He just smiled kindly.
"Allison, listen. I'm too weak. I'll just slow you down and then we'll both be dead. Just go without me. And I will see the stars, for real. Just not in this life. So Allison, just go." He lightly pushed me away. I saw him look around. He picked up a small fist sized rock. He looked at me one more time.
Ping
He smiled as he threw the rock with all his might. The roof started to collapse. He looked back at me.
"Just remember me okay?" And then the roof fell.
A/N- MUAHAHAHAHAHA! I am evil! And you thought Feliks would join Allison and the Doctor didn't you? Haha NOPE! Anyway, I hope you liked that chapter.
