Forgivness, Can You Imagine? (31)
My head shot up as I heard the TARDIS noise. My spirits lifted because that noise could only mean one thing: the Doctor was coming. I stood up, trying not to touch the energy barrier.
The TARDIS fully materialized at the other end of the room. The doors opened and the Doctor stepped out. "Well then. I hoped I wouldn't be on one of these in the next few hundred years." He looked at me with a goofy smile. "I guess not."
He didn't seem mad at me at all. That made me feel worse because I screamed at him and treated him like garbage when now he forgave me.
I looked down at the ground, ashamed that I was mad at him but he still saved me. The Doctor bent down and gave me a sideways smile.
"Let's save you again. Let's see, simple energy force field. Should be easy." The Doctor pulled out his sonic and pressed the button and aimed it towards the ceiling. Sparks flew, obviously denying to go down.
"Wait, what happened? I thought you shut it off." I looked around, confused because I thought that would've worked.
"Dalek technology is one of the trickiest things to diable let alone hack."
"Then why did you say it was easy?"
"To make you feel better about the situation. I guess I shouldn't have. Rule one: the Doctor lies." He started to circle around the energy field. "Last time I was in one of these, Donna got me out. Then again, she has a Time Lord brain because of that metacrisis but it doesn't matter now."
"What?"
"Sorry, rambling about nonsense."
Like usual, I thought. He always rambles about random, non important....
"Wait, how did you get out?"
"My friend Donna had a Time Lord-Human metacrisis and she kinda, merged with a clone of myself. The clone only had one heart so a normal human lifespan and Donna got the brain of a Time Lord. She did some stuff to the main control panel that I would never have thought of. She said it was because of that human instinct that she had that helped."
"So the moral of that story? What do we need?"
"Another Time Lord-Human metacrisis?"
I sighed and rubbed my forehead. "No. You need human instinct."
"But I'm not human."
"I know that. You just do what you gut says and stop analyzing everything. So the first things that come into your mind."
The Doctor just gave me a blank expression like he didn't understand anything I said. His expression suddenly changed to confusion. "Sooo don't think?"
"Oh my god. Just point and press,: I looked around until I saw a lever and some buttons on the wall, "there! The buttons. Sonic the buttons."
"What? That won't do anything? If I just wait and try to-"
"Shut up and just sonic them. I would do it but I'm kinda in this." I gestured to the energy field around me.
The Doctor sighed and pointed his sonic screwdriver to the wall, it's green light turned on and the familier buzzing sound started up. He turned to me. "I doubt this will work because-"
The energy field suddenly went down. I smirked because I was right. I then remembered our fight we, well I, had with him. I didn't move because I just looked at my feet. "I-I'm sorry I yelled at you. I was just mad that everyone is dead and It is still your fault but I'm sure you had a reason but I realized, I shouldn't be mad at you forever because we're all that we have left and I-" I stopped talking and just hugged him. The goofy idiot who may have killed all of the Time Lords but all in all, we are the only ones left so we need to stay together.
I looked down, not wanting to meet the Doctor's eyes because he probably doesn't like because I yelled at him and called him a heartless monster.
I suddenly felt two arms wrap around me. I smiled because I would have never thought he would've forgave me.
"Let's go shall we?" Suddenly alarms blared through the room. I guess the energy field sent a warning to the Daleks that something was wrong.
"Find the Time Lord and exterminate her! Seek, locate, destroy!" More Daleks were chanting along. "Seek, locate, destroy! Seek, locate, destroy!"
The Doctor looked at me and grabbed my hand. "I told you there would be a lot of running. So let's run." We started to run towards the TARDIS but then a dalek shot at us. The blaster hit the blue box's doors, making me fall on my back.
I screamed because the blast scared me. My voice cracked in the middle of the scream which was frankly embarrassing. The Doctor gave me a weird look because my scream was so high pitched.
"What?"
Suddenly Daleks came flooding into the room. I put my hands up because I didn't want to die. The Daleks started to corner the Doctor and me. He tried to run but a Dalek blocked his way. There were now about ten Daleks in this room, including the red one from before. They were surrounding us.
"We knew the Doctor would come save his companion. It was only a matter of time until he came. Now, we can finally exterminate the oncoming storm!"
All the Daleks started chanting one word that brings fear to the entire galaxy. "Exterminate!"
