Two: Just Say Yes

"And then Megara came in to the rescue!", Rapunzel with a wide grin. She was talking about a play that she attended last Tuesday, and our classmate, Meg, was the lead star in it.

I clapped my hands, "That was so cool!"

"Totally!", she giggled. "You should go watch the last show tonight."

"I would love to...", I gave her a small smile. "But Dad never lets me out after six."

"Bummer...", Punzie complained. "Someday, I'm gonna tell your dad to stay out of your life."

"Wish he would, Punz...", I sighed. "Wish he would..."

Part of the overprotective status was the curfews and everything. I practically had guards all around the school, dressed up as teachers or students. They're EVERYWHERE... and they're always there. 

I know... My dad wants to protect me as much as possible, since I am the heir to a very big company. I was their precious, priceless stone...

Sometimes I envy Anna, because she had the freedom to do everything she wants... Well, not everything, but she does have more freedom than me. Mom and Dad didn't value her as much, only because they said she was well... unexpected.

They didn't plan of giving Anna shares in the company, which made me think of my parents far more worse than I ever did think before. That's why I plan to give Anna half of my shares once she gets older, and when my parents are gone.

"Are you okay, Er?", Jack snapped his fingers in front of me.

I blinked, "Yeah..."

"Thinking about your life?", he said.

I looked down, "It's just not fair."

"At least you get to have everything you want...", Jack smiled. "You have a large room, which most probably is as big as our whole house. It even has two floors!"

I giggled, "You always know how to cheer me up, Jack."

He gave me a flashy smile and squeezed my hand, "No prob."

We got closer... and closer... and then...

"Guys?", we both snapped to Merida's direction. "You're not the only ones here in this table."

We pulled away from each other, while I profusely blushed.

"So, have you heard of the new guy coming here?", Rapunzel asked.

We all shook our heads.

Merida rolled her eyes, "Ha! Whoever he is, he's just gonna be nobody to me."

A dorkish kid tapped her shoulder, "Uhmm... Excuse me?"

"What... woah.", Merida's jaw dropped. The boy standing in front of her looked pretty... gorgeous. Well, he did have a few freckles and all, but he looked kinda cute.

I stared at him blankly, like Merida... and Jack suddenly kicked my foot underneath the table. He gave me a cold, playful look with his icy eyes.

I giggled and stuck my tongue out at him and continued listening to the brewing conversation of Merida and the new kid.

"I'm Hiccup.", he spoke out.

Rapunzel laughed, "Hiccup?"

"Yeah.", he shrugged. "That's the name."

"So, you're the new kid right?", Merida said slowly.

Hiccup nodded his head, "Mind if you take me on a tour?"

"Sure...", Merida smiled. She looked back at us and mouthed, "Sorry! It's a cute dude, and I can't let him go away so easily"

Rapunzel snickered and shoved an apple on her mouth to prevent Hiccup from noticing it.

Merida and the cute new stranger walked away towards the hall.

"Okay, that's enough.", Jack said. "We are never going to meet new kids ever again."

"Why so jelly?", Rapunzel smiled. "It's not like Erin's gonna run away for him, right Er?"

"Yeah.", I said in agreement. "And besides, no one can surpass your good looks."

"You got that right.", Jack smirked and wrapped an arm around me.

"Yeaaah... I should be going before this becomes a make-out session.", Rapunzel said as she picked up her books. "Bye to you two lovebirds!"

We both gave her a small wave.

"Next class?", Jack asked as we were strolling in the corridors of the campus.

I shrugged, "I'm free 'till the rest of the day. Most of my teachers have gone off..."

"Cool, me too!", he exclaimed.

There was an awkward silence between us... but I knew exactly what I had to say.

Jack

Everyday with Erin felt like a lifetime of happiness, but I knew that nothing lasts forever.

"I'm leaving.", Erin suddenly blurted out.

The colors in the autumn leaves suddenly lost their hue as I turned to Erin's teary eyes, "What? Why?!"

Her tears started falling down on her cheeks, and I wish I could do something to collect them all and stop them from ever falling ever again, "My dad... my dad doesn't want you and me to happen."

"But...", I held her hands closer to mine. "I know we can work out. Please, just-"

"Jack.", she held a finger to my lips. "As much as I want to run away with you... I know I can't."

"But Erin,", I argued. "This isn't fair, and you know that. You can't let your dad hide you from the world forever."

She let out a series of heartbreaking sobs... her palms covering her red eyes. 

I wrapped my arms around her tight, and nestled my chin on top of her head, "We just can't end like this, Erin."

"I'm going to find a way out of this, Erin.", I whispered to her ear as she grabbed a hold of me tighter with every breath she took.

I trust Jack, and I always will. I know we're gonna find a way out of this mess...

Jack and I sat down on a bench where the sunset would always shine the brightest. I was going  to leave tomorrow night, and this is probably the last night we would have together. 

The sunset's hues was just the same as all our dates on top of the small hill near the school, but right now... it seemed as if all the colors faded into a melancholic gray.

"Don't worry Erin...", he said with a sigh. "I'm gonna figure something out."

"We're gonna make it out of this mess."

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess...

It's a love story, baby just say yes 

"I trust you, Jack.", I said with all my heart.

To tell you the truth, I had no idea what to do at that moment, but to trust him with all my heart. I know it's silly to listen to my heart, instead of my brain...

But I know it's just what I had to do.

A/N: Yay! Second chapter, and I am a few days late... sorry guys! I am busy with school projects, and I don't think I can make the next chapter in time as well, so please do bear with me :3

Hope these Jackunzel videos won't bug as much, 'cause I can't use Elsa since she's a different character in the story. Just imagine Punzie with dark brown hair! :3
