Ten: Rescued

Elsa

"Dad!", I said as I locked the creaking door. "I'm home."

"Ellie!", Annie greeted me with a smile. "How's work?"

"It could have been better.", I smiled weakly. "School?"

"Ugh, I am totally loaded with projects, and Kristoff is not even helping.", she groaned.

I giggled, "Maybe you should... you know, focus on your studies more... and leave Kristoff there in the corner."

"I don't know Elsa...", she looked down. "I really like Kristoff..."

"But we worked hard for you to enter this school.", I aruged. "And it's your Senior Year... and you can't let it go to waste."

"I know Elsa, but-"

"You mean you just want to throw away all what I've done for you?", I shouted out... my eyes brimming with tears. "I just threw away all the fun in my life so I could work to give you a better future, and you just... want to throw it away? All because of that guy?"

"He's just not any guy.", she spat. "He's kind and sweet, and he'll never hurt me and-"

"BUT HE'S STILL A GUY!", I shouted. Her eyes widened and she looked away.

"You know what happened to me.", I toned myself down. "And I don't want you to experience the same thing. I want you to live the life I never had."

"But you never opened your heart out ever again, Elsa.", she said. "And I would never want to close mine because of just one guy."

I looked at her with my glowing eyes, "If you don't want to listen to me, then don't"

Annie's eyes started tearing up... she opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. She ran upstairs and locked herself in her room.

I turned my back, and there was Dad. He looked at me with those disappointed eyes.

"Open your heart again, Elsa.", he said.

"No, Dad.", I cried out... my tears falling. "Look what Mom did to you! She made you look like a fool. He made me look like a fool. That's what love will ever do. At first it will be one hell of a rollercoaster ride, and the next minute it's going downhill, and you're never going back to the way you used to be."

"I know what happened with your Mom", he started out. "But I have moved on from it... And can't you do the same with Hans?"

"I can't, Dad.", I cried. "I still love him." 

Jack

I was the last one to get out of the office. I sped out on my Mercedes-Benz, and into the moonlight.

I had so much things on my mind... including the memory of her...

"Sweetheart", Mom said as she welcomed me into the house. "How's your day."

"Could have been better.", I replied... like I always do.

"Do you want something to eat?", she asked, like I expected her to.

And as usual I replied, "No."

I ran upstairs, into my room and turned up the music. I had a playlist of Erin's favorite songs, and practically she loved the Thirties songs... you know, the songs from 2030, which were basically all from Alison Swift... Taylor Swift's daughter.

Erin died in 2032, which was six years ago...

And I still haven't moved on...

My thoughts will still echo her name... until I see her again.

It's still hard to believe that she's gone, 'cause I really don't. I still believe that she's still here somewhere, and I just have to find her.

If I could just have a moment with her... a moment where I can let time start all over again...

I want to go back to the moment that I met her...

Reminisce the glow on her face as she lit up the dance floor...

I want to go back to the moment she wanted to escape...

I should have never let her on my bike...

I should have just let her go...

If I did, she would still have been alive...

But she would have been with someone else

But I guess that's better than being dead, right? I was too selfish...

I didn't think of her future...

All I thought of was how I wanted her to be mine...

When, we really weren't destined for each other...

I forced my destiny to happen, and now... she died.

"Jack...", Mom knocked on my door. "May I come in."

"Leave me alone, Mom.", I grunted.

"Please, Jack.", she continued knocking. "I know you need someone to talk to."

"And I don't need a mother to talk to me.", I spat. "I need a father."

"I'm sorry, Jack.", she said against the door. "I know what I did is unforgivable, but please you need to know that-"

"That you left him for a guy who left you too?", I yelled out as I opened the door.

She was crying, but I didn't care.

"You took away my opportunity of having a father to be with a guy who broke your heart as well.", I said.

"I'm sorry, Jack.", she cried out.

"I will never be left by anyone ever again.", I exclaimed. "Erin will be the last girl who I will ever love, and I will never be like you." 

She nodded her head and said, "Don't forget that I love you, Jack. You and Mary Jane are my life."

I rolled my eyes at her statement and shut the door.

Erin must have told you about my seemingly perfect family... but it really wasn't.

Mom left our Dad, just because she fell in love with someone else.

Nothing was wrong with Dad.

He was the best guy I have ever met.

And I don't understand why he had to go through the same heartbreak I've had. He doesn't deserve that.

That's why I have despised my mother for the past years... She ruined my life, MJ's life and Dad's.

All for a guy who wanted her money.

I never wanted to be left ever again, and I still hope for Erin to come back.

And that's why she will be the last girl who will ever enter my life.

And I feel alright... I don't need to be rescued.

Oh, and this is the tenth chapter... only ten more chapters to go, and this book is ending T^T
