Four: Let Her Go

"We will NOT rest until we have found my daughter!", Mr. Winters barked out to the men in white. Several cars started their engines and ran off into the deep, dark moonlight.

Anna popped out of their family limousine, "What's happening, Daddy?"

"Your sister, Anna.", he replied. "She escaped."

"What?", Anna's eyes popped out. "Why? Why would she do that?"

"I don't understand it, but I will find her, and we are leaving Pennsylvania for good.", he said sternly. Anna backed away and sat back to her seat.

"I wonder why Erin would do that...", she said to herself.

Erin

"Go faster, Jack!", I pounded into his back. The cars were gaining on us, and I don't want to return to my father... ever.

Jack didn't reply, but instead, he revved up the engine and the surroundings blurred.

There wasn't so much light in the street, but I trust him.

A car horn blasted from our right.

It was Dad's car.

The window went down and his face emerged, "GIVE ME BACK MY DAUGHTER!"

"NEVER!", Jack shouted at him and locked his eyes on the road.

My tears were spilling out of my eyes, blurring everything I saw. I listened closely to my heartbeat, which was racing like a thousand horses in a derby.

I don't know who to chose.

I'm so scared.

I'm so confused.

"Dad...", I merely shouted. "Stop..."

"No, Erin.", he shouted back. "I'm not letting you go!"

I buried my head on the back of Jack's leather jacket.

Please... Let me go...

Jack

Erin buried her head on my back... and I couldn't help but feel that I should return her to her father.

As much as I love her...

I couldn't give her what she wants.

I couldn't give her what she needs.

I couldn't give her the life she's always dreamed of.

I can't offer her the whole world, unlike her father.

I held my grip tighter on the bike, unsure of what to do. 

The road was dim, and I could barely make out any figure in the way. 

"Hold on, Erin.", I said to her. I slid through a narrow route hidden near some trees, and I escaped from the rally of white cars... for now.

I remover my right hand from the bike and squeezed Erin's hand-- which was tightly bonded on my waist, "Just hold on, Er. We're gonna make it out of this mess."

The bike blazed into a bigger road, "They'll never find us now, Erin."

She didn't reply, but instead, I heard sobs and hitching breath.

All of a sudden, the sky started turning darker than ever. Lighting and thunder crashed down the earth, and rain poured out from the sky.

My vision blurred... and then...

A truck beeped at me, but still... we crashed. The impact threw both of Erin and I's bodies across the road. Fire emerged from the bike, and soon the truck caught on fire.

I was still conscious, but Erin wasn't.

Her face was half burnt, and her dark hair got caught with fire. Her cheeks were bruised, and she was not breathing.

"Erin, no... please.", I cried out and held her closer to me. "Don't leave me, Angel."

She let out a small cough, "I love you, Jack."

"No, don't you say anything, Erin.", I whispered and grazed my hand over her cheek. "You're gonna be okay, you're gonna be fine."

"Jack...", she started crying. "Don't forget about me, okay?"

"STOP!", I yelled. "You're not going to die."

The white cars surrounded us, and Erin's dad came into my view. His face was shocked, and I could barely look at him in shame.

He violently pushed me away from Erin, "Get away from her!"

I backed away as he cradled Erin's head in his arms, "You're going to be alright, Erin. Hold on."

The man sent out orders and they carried Erin back to his car.

I pushed away from the body guards, "Please, take me with you." I didn't care how scraggly my jacket looked, or the singed ends of my white hair. "I need to see her safe."

"NO!", Erin's father gripped the collar of my jacket. "You have wrecked my daughter's life far enough! I don't want her to get hurt by you." He threw me off to the ground.

My mind was racing and I couldn't think straight. 

They're taking Erin away from me, and it's all my fault.

I should have never tried to escape. I should have never let her get onto that stupid bike.

If I just cared for her safety and her future... she would have never experienced this.

She would never have the risk to die right now...

The next day, I attempted so much to see her in the hospital. I know she was okay. I feel her... I just know it.

Flynn tagged along with me, "Jack... I think you should stop."

"NO!", I yelled at him. I broke down in bitter tears on the curb, "I don't want to let her go... I love her so much."

"Jack... She's the heir of the richest company in Pennsylvanina.", Flynn sat down beside me. "You know what's best for her..."

"I know that Flynn,", I said. "I know I can't give her everything, but I am sure I can give her my everything."

Flynn's phone rang, "Hello?" I heard a few murmurs...

"Jack...", he said with a low tone. "I'm so sorry."

"What for?", I asked him.

He looked down, and instantly gave me the sign, "NO!" I hit the ground, and pounded the pavement with my fist. "It can't be."

"I'm so sorry, Jack.", he said. "She's... she's-"

"No she's not!", I shouted. "They're just hiding her from me. I know it!"

I raced back to the hospital doors for the eighth time. I pushed past the guards and ran up to the lady behind the desk, "I need to see Erin Winters, please."

"I'm sorry, sir, but the family would not like to have guests right now.", she blantly replied. 

I yelled, "Let me see Erin... PLEASE!"

Within a second, the guards threw me out again.

Flynn said, "Jack... You have to accept it... She's gone... And her family is moving to Arendal in Norway."

"I don't believe you... I just don't."

"Jack... please...

Let her go..." 

Erin... wherever you are...

Wait for me forever, wait for me always...

A/N: There we go! A new chapter in Jack's life is about to begin.. I wonder what will happen next xD lol 

I am so tired, and I don't want to add the pictures and videos first, so please settle with this one xD

I might add them tomorrow... or so... xD
