Eighteen: On The Road Again

Elsa

"What do you mean, Annie?", I asked my sister intently.

She bit her lip, "I don't know. I feel like I've seen him somewhere."

"When?", I asked.

"About six or five years ago.", she replied.

"But that's when-"

"I know.", she shook off the thought. "Maybe I have just mistaken him for someone."

I nodded and went to my bedroom.

As I turned off the lights, Jack sent me a message.

J: Hey :)

E: Hi

J: How would you like to go to Disney World next week?

E: Would be cool... No wait, are you serious?

J: Well, yeah. Hoping to take you out (and the rest of the department) on a Disney spree.

E: Like we don't have enough Disney on the job. -.-*

J: It was just an idea! :)

E: Well, sure. Seems like a great idea.

J: Great! Well, good night :)

E: Night :)

J: I love you.

I smiled like a goofball and hugged the phone before replying.

E: I love you too... 

I turned off the table lamp next to me, and looked up at my ceiling in complete wanderlust. I can't seem to accept the whole thing... as if I feel like this was still a dream. A wonderful dream come true.

After a week, the entire design crew packed up and left in a van to Disney World. We agreed on meeting up in front of the office building for our head count and to jokingly torment the other departments that were left behind.

I arrived about fifteen minutes early, which I always am for every occasion. Carrying my bright blue duffel bag towards the curb, I spotted Thia and Once-ler.

"Have you guys seen Audrey?", Thia asked me.

Once-ler shrugged, "She texted me that she was almost here, and yet she ain't."

I raised an eyebrow and checked my phone, "She did tell me that as well."

"G-guys, h-hel help!", we heard whimpers from behind us. Audrey was walking... I mean, was crawling towards us with two large suitcases rolling behind her and a big The North Face backpack slung around her arm. Her forehead was drenched in sweat as her knees collapsed, and two hatboxes that were attached to her suitcases fell on the pavement.

We rushed toward her, and I picked up one of her suitcases, "Audrey, why are you bringing all of these?"

"We're... We're g-going to...", she said between breaths. "Dis-Dizzy World, remembah?"

"Yes, but this looks like a whole month of clothes to New Zealand.". Thia complained and took another hatbox.

Once-ler helped Audrey stand up. She wiped off the sweat from her face, "It's better... to be... to be prepared."

Thia rolled her eyes and dragged the two hatboxes along with her own backpack.

Not too long, a dark blue green van halted in front, and we saw Jack in a wide grin behind the windows, "Hop in, everyone."

"Great, thanks.", Audrey dragged herself to the backseat, and pointed all of the AC windows toward her.

"Wait for meeee!", another squeal was what we heard before Once-ler pushed the van doors. Rapunzel held open the door and tossed in a purple duffel bag.

She swung her signature hair floop to the side and huffed, "Geez, I've never been late my entire life."

"Well, there's always a first time for everything.", Once-ler replied.

With a tired smile, Rapunzel sat beside Once-ler, and we were off.

Jack

"Are we all set, Manny?", I asked for the seventeenth time to the driver who was beside me. Manny was starting the engine.

He nodded, "Yes. For the eleventh-"

"Seventeenth.", I corrected.

He gave me a look, "Yes..."

"Sorry for being so excited.", I bit my lip with a smile. "My girlfriend is one of the people I'm taking to Disney World, and I really don't want to mess this up."

Manny smiles, "I understand."

"So, are we really ready?", I asked again.

His face dropped, "Yes. Yes we are."

We pulled over in front of the building, and I saw Elsa comforting a very exhausted-looking Audrey.

"Thank goodness you're here.", she exclaimed as she took the seat next to me. I was supposed to give her a small peck on the cheek, and suddenly she turned sideways... so we ended up accidentally kissing each other.

Elsa's eyes were wide open, and Thia hooted from the back, "Someone give them some curtains!"

We both pulled away, and her face was as red as a rose. She playfully pushed me with a pout, "It's all your fault."

"Well,", I hummed with a smirk. "It's your fault for being so irresistibly beautiful that I can't stand to not kiss you."

She bit her lip, trying to stop herself from smiling, and she turned away to face the window.

"Gee, I did not think PDA was in the itinerary...", Rapunzel giggled.

It took us a long time to get to the nearest Disney park. We had to travel about three states just to get there, and trust me, with all of these artsy people on board, you're never bound to boredom.

"Stay still, Audrey!", Rapunzel scolded the orange-haired girl in front of her. She was braiding Audrey's hair into very tiny chunks of plaits.

Audrey pulled back her hair in resistance, "Does it really have to hurt this bad?"

"Well, you need to work hard for something in order for it to turn out beautiful.", she sang and clipped a small flower pin between braids.

"Do you think you can do mine after her?", Thia asked.

"You all are unoriginal.", Elsa joked and twisted her head towards the backseats. She tossed her glittery braid to the left side of her shoulder.

Once-ler laughed, "I don't think you can pull off such a girly hair-do."

"Oh, yeah?", Thia sneered at him, and she pulled Audrey out of her seat. "Go on, Punzie. Let's show Once-ler that Thiana can be girly for one day."

Rapunzel nodded and started braiding Thia's brightly colored hair. Once-ler was holding his laughs, along with Audrey.

I could remember Erin and the gang with me on the same road trip to Disney World. Hiccup would be right there with Merida, Rapunzel with Flynn... Me and Erin. I guess being on the road again makes me remember all the fun when Erin is around... But, I'm sure after this... It's not Erin's road trip I will be reminiscing anymore...

Elsa snuggled closer to me, "Are we there, yet?"

"Nope, not there yet.", I told her.

"What ride are you gonna go to first?", she asked.

I smiled in reply, "Wherever, as long as I'm with you."

I'm pretty inspired to write right now, mostly for Dear Jack 'cause that story is just starting out :3
