Ch.8 Music room
~Y/n pov~
"Nam-ra, are you okay?"
Her head shot up when she realised I was beside her.
"Get away." She mumbled.
"I'm a zombie." I replied, raising an eyebrow at her, "What happened?"
"I just felt so hungry..." her eyes got watery, "I almost bit him."
I frowned. That'll start happening to me and Gyeong-su.
We might become out of control and accidentally kill someone.
"Put that down. She didn't change." On-jo looked at the weapon in Cheong-san's hand.
I stood up to confront them, "She's a zombie but she hasn't turned. She's like me. So stop trying to kill her."
Cheong-san started at me for a few moments before placing the music stand down.
Ji-min still didn't trust Nam-ra.
Su-hyeok sat away from us with Nam-ra.
Everyone else took a seat again.
They almost formed a circle with the chairs.
Dae-su sighed, "I'm so hungry."
Everyone let out a collective sigh.
I still felt sleepy.
Maybe if I sleep enough I won't be hungry.
But I'm a zombie not a demon... (if you get the reference I love you)
Gyeong-su saw my sleepy state and pulled me into his lap.
He was so warm and comfortable.
I sat sideways on his lap, my head resting against his shoulder.
One of his arms was looped around my waist to keep me in place, his other arms was laid across my lap.
I took his hand into mine and placed them in my lap.
His thumb absentmindedly rubbed my knuckles as we listened to the others talk.
"Wait a second. The PTA asked the parents to send some stuff before the competition, and asked my mum to send some chicken." Cheong-san brought up.
"But we would've seen it. I didn't see anything." Dae-su complained with a whiny tone.
"What about in that room?" I pointed at the door.
Everyone looked at me and then at the door.
Dae-su's eyes lit up as he went to open the door.
The door handle rattled.
"It's locked." Dae-su cursed.
I heard someone gasp.
Is someone in there?
"Let's open it." Cheong-san also got up.
"Find something to pick the lock with." Dae-su instructed.
"Do you even know how to pick a lock? It's not something that's easy." I spoke up.
"Don't crush my hope." Dae-su responded, "Let's go break the door down."
He slammed himself against the door but nothing happened.
He banged on the door and slammed on it again before cursing.
"Just stop it. You'll attract more zombies. If worst comes to worst I'll find some food and come back." I told them so they'd stop making so much noise.
Cheong-san spun around instantly to face me, "No."
"What?"
"You said it yourself. Gwi-nam is like you and he's still roaming the school. You chucked him out of a fucking window. If he sees you he'll probably try to kill you." Cheong-san actually used him brain for once.
"Good point." I sighed in defeat, "Let's just stay here for a bit and hope the zombies go away so we can make our way to the roof."
Ji-min picked up the camera and looked at the video.
It was the choir singing.
"Please, no music." Hyo-ryeong sounded so done with everything as she spoke.
Ji-min immediately turned it off.
I closed my eyes and sunk into Gyeong-su's hold.
He didn't say anything this whole time.
He must be just as tired as I am.
I relaxed and felt more sleepy as I felt his hand rubbing my side every now and then as he held me.
"My mum and dad... They came to the school to save me. The police never came. If anybody is watching this after, punish them." Ji-min spoke.
Was she recording herself?
I almost signed in annoyance but I let her continue talking.
I'm sure she feels like she needs to leave a message behind in case she dies.
I probably won't be able to sleep with all this noise but closing my eyes at least helps. Or it feels like it does anyway.
"All involved. They abandoned us. All of them. I'll make you pay." Ji-min sniffled and her voice became shaky, "Hi, mum. Hi, dad. I'll stay alive and get revenge. I'll kill all those (titans) zombies and anyone else..."
"Mum and Dad. Hello. I'm here with some of my classmates and they're really good to me." Hyo-ryeong spoke next, "Let me show you. This is them. That one.. yeah she's sleeping. Mum... Dad... I miss you. I miss you both. I'm sorry."
"Give it to me. Hey, mum. I want a raise in allowance." Wu-jin spoke.
I almost laughed.
Dae-su cleared his throat, "Music and lyrics by intergalactic superstar Yang Dae-su. Chicken tastes better fried in olive oil. Pork tastes better than soy meat. Strawberry cake tastes better then plain strawberries. What makes me laugh, laugh, laugh is trans fat. Cheong-san?"
I was surprised when he started singing.
He was a good singer but the song was weird.
Gyeong-su's hand went still and his breathing evened out.
I'm guessing he's asleep.
He clung to me tightly in his sleep and rested his head on top of mine.
"Mum. It's me. Dad, you're okay too, right? I'm... I'm good." Cheong-san stated.
"Hi Dad. I miss you. You're not here, but I waited for you all night, and we're holding on together."
I sighed realising I couldn't sleep despite being exhausted. (This happens all the time I hate it)
I opened my eyes to look at Gyeong-su's peaceful sleeping face.
He looks so relaxed and cute.
His cheeks puffed out slightly as he peacefully slept.
"You always say being healthy is better than getting good grades. You said you'd be the first to come if anything happened. And you're okay, right?"
I reached my hand up and gently brushed his hair away from his face.
"You have to be okay, Dad." On-jo's voice became shaky, "You don't have to save me, but... But still, I wish you'd come. I really thought you would be here by now."
On-jo sniffled as tears started rolling down her cheeks.
She noticed I was awake and silently handed the camera to me.
"There's no one that would care about from Gyeong-su and Cheong-san." I stated quietly, turning off the camera.
I looked over at Nam-ra and Su-hyeok.
They had been silent for a while.
I walked over to them and placed the camera down next to them.
None of them said anything so I just awkwardly walked away.
I sat down next to Gyeong-su and pulled his head onto my shoulder so he could sleep comfortably.
He shuffled in his sleep and leaned closer to me.
I wrapped my arm around his waist and held him against my side.
He nuzzled his face into my neck and continued to peacefully sleep.

There was a strange noise. It sounded like being sick.
I was trying to ignore most of the noises as it was just zombies.
I looked around the room and realised no one had been sick in here.
"I heard a strange noise." Nam-ra stood up and walked towards the windows.
"What do you hear?" On-no asked.
"Someone puked." I answered, "We should be thinking of a way to get out of here."
"There are zombies out there." Cheong-san pointed out the obvious.
"Yeah but... there's no telling when Gwi-nam will come after us again." I sighed.
"Actually.." On-jo said catching everyone's attention, "I have an idea."
"Let's here it then."
"We have to build a big barricade and then lure them in with music." On-jo stated.
"Music from the recording?" I asked, "How would we make it loud enough to attract them?"
"There are speakers we could connect it to, right? Or maybe the television. If we leave the door open the music should attract the zombies." On-jo continued.
Joon-yeong nodded, "That could work."
"I think it's worth a shot. We're stuck in here so we should try something." I spoke up.
Most people agree and others did reluctantly.
I grabbed Gyeong-su's shoulder and gently shook him.
He scrunched his eyes before opening them.
He looked at me still half asleep.
"We have a plan to get out of here." I told him.
Gyeong-su perked up, "Really?"
He cutely rubbed his eyes and yawned before standing up.

We finally completed the barricade.
There was still one spot that we left so people can climb over.
"Why aren't you coming over?" On-jo asked Cheong-san.
"Well, someone has to stay to open the door." He responded.
Dae-su sighed, "Couldn't you have come up with a better plan?"
"It's okay." Cheong-san smiled.
"Wait. I'll come." Su-hyeok climbed over to join him.
"It's fine." Cheong-san said back but Su-hyeok ignored him like usual.
"It is not fine."
We waited for them to open the door.
I heard the door slide open and then quick footsteps.
Cheong-san was the first to climb over.
Su-hyeok quickly jumped over a few seconds later and pushed a bit of furniture in the way so the barricade was complete.
Zombies came running in and the music started to play.
The choir's singing sounded eery in a way.
Everyone held the barricade up as more and more zombies started running into it and trying to climb over.
A few chairs fell off the barricades.
"We need more noise." On-jo yelled from her spot next to the window.
"Die, zombies! Fucking die!" Dae-su yelled loudly, his voice echoing.
"Do it one more time." On-jo yelled.
His voice was so loud I won't be surprised if Gwi-nam heard it.
This is bad. We need to get out of here quick.
"Stupid zombies! Motherfuckers!" Dae-su yelled for as long as he could.
On-jo and Hyo-ryeong picked up some instruments and started bashing them to try and attract more zombies.
I whacked a few zombies back as they tried to climb over.
"It's not going to hold up!" Hyo-ryeong yelled as the barricade started collapsing.
People smashed zombies over the head with instruments as they tried to climb over.
We ran away from the barricade and out of the door.
Dae-su was the last person to run, slamming the door behind us as the barricade started to collapse with no one holding it.
We ran through the corridors and up the stairs, trying to reach the roof.
There were zombies following us up the stairs.
We stopped as we made it to the roof door and tried to open it.
"Is it locked?" I asked as the door just rattled.
Dae-su slammed his body against it, trying to get the door to open.
It still didn't open.
Is someone on the roof?
Cheong-san randomly smashed buttons on the keypad, trying to get it to open but he was unsuccessful.
I looked down the stairs. There were no zombies yet but I could hear them coming.
"They're coming." I told everyone.
The zombies started rushing up the stairs to try and get us.
Su-hyeok and Cheong-san started pushing them down the stairs.
I went to help.
When I kicked a zombie it went flying down the stairs and into the others.
It felt a bit like I was bowling or something.
They were still trying to open the door but with no look.
I noticed on the door it said will open in case of fire.
Do we need to set some shit on fire?
"Get the cover." Cheong-san yelled.
On-jo, Ji-min and Joon-yeong grabbed the blue cover the threw it over the stairs, holding it in place.
This trapped the zombies and stopped them from running towards us as they ran into the cover.
I froze as I heard a familiar heartbeat.
Gwi-nam... he was coming.
