Y'all down for story time? Too bad y'all are getting story time.

School's over. I go to my key club meeting. I decide "hey why not go to qt? I have a $1.25 I can probably get some frozen coffee or a donut"

So I go to qt and decide to get a small frozen cappuccino. Simple, easy. I get the cup, fill it up. Grab a small lid and-

The small lid doesn't fit the cup. "Maybe I grabbed the wrong small lid. Maybe this is for a different small cup."

I grab another small lid and this time-

It still doesn't fit.

I grabbed the wrong cup. This cup was a big Q, not a small. I quickly pull out my calculator. Can I afford a big Q??

The answer? Is no.

A big Q frozen drink is $1.29 with tax. 4 cents short.

"Well okay this is fine" I thought "I'll just trash this and get a small cup, no biggie-"

No small cups. None at all.

At this point I had three options.

-tell a worker there's no small cups
-trash the big Q and leave in shame
-completely embarrass myself and ask the guy getting a soda if he has 4 cents

Here's the fun part. Obviously just telling a worker would be the best option. However the workers were on the other side of the store and that would take a long time and-

The guy getting a soda is about to leave.

I walk forward with the cup

"Uh you wouldn't happen to have four cents would you?"

"Oh yeah sure here"

He hands me a nickel and I thank him awkwardly. I can feel the heat of my face. I messed up.

I take the nickel and leave quickly.

"What did I just do. Oh well at least I have coffee now... Worth it."

Now this guy. He's not just some random guy that happened to be getting a drink

This guy is a sophomore in my honors biology class. He sits a few seats away from me next to one of my close friends.

I won't be able to look him in the eye again please save me

On the bright side, this is really great story lol

I'm also gonna leave him a quarter and a note on his desk tomorrow (thanks for the note idea I-May-Surprise-You)

Anyway

The conclusion here is I'm bad at impulse decisions and need better attention to details
