How did I get the idea of Jane Phoenix Portman?

Long story short, I had an idea at three in the morning.

As all bad ideas are born.

I was thinking something along the lines of "Wow. Jacob sure was stupid." And I pointed out about seven million ways that he was stupid.
And then I thought, "I wonder what would happen if we added a smart person to the mix."
Hence, Jane was born.
It's took me about 15 or so chapters to turn her into a lovable idiot as well, which I only made into an even bigger lovable idiot when I started editing.

She was originally supposed to be fourteen, but then I realized that I'd just passed up a relationship between Millard and someone else, and decided to make her 16.
(If you've read my other works, you'll know I'm obsessed with twins.)

What did I originally plan to do on this book?

I had one plan, that was simple:

Save Fiona.

Whether the OC was to die or not for the sake of Fee...

Save. Her.

That was my original plan, and who knows? Maybe it still is....

Do I plan on killing anyone?
