DEBBIE AND ABIGAIL
Debbie and Abigail shared a college dorm room. The two girls were polar opposites in almost every way. They could not be any different from each other if they tried. Abigail didn't have all that much growing up. She worked hard to get to this point in her life and planned to continue life in the same manner. Debbie however, rarely studied. She did party a lot. The fact that her parents were quite wealthy quite probably played a big part in how Debbie behaved.
Abigail sat at her desk in the dorm room studying using her small cheap laptop. Well, that is how her laptop seemed to her when roomie Debbie usually took her laptop out. On this particular evening it would be about half past ten in the evening when Debbie arrived back with yet another boy in tow.
Yeah, returning with random guys was a regular thing with Debbie. This of course frustrated the heck out of Abigail. Debbie and her friend just went about their business as if Abigail wasn't even there, pretty soon she wasn't. Abigail grabbed her stuff and made her way to the college library.
The next few hours passed quickly for Abigail and before she knew it, it was half past two in the morning. Being quite tired and needing to get up early, Abigail began to make her way back to the dorm room. She slowly opened the door, not hearing anything though fearing what she might see if she were to turn a light on, she felt her way around the darkness to her bed and before long was asleep.
Her alarm came far too quickly, Abigail would have preferred a few more hours of sleep but sleep would be something she would not get much of for a long time to come as for what she awoke to would give her nightmares which would haunt her for the foreseeable future. A couple of moments passed upon waking before Abigail looked across the room for the first time that morning. Curtains may still be pulled over but enough morning like did seep through for a sight to be made clearly visible.
Debbie along with her most recent male friend were laying lifeless in a bloody mess half hanging out of Debbie's bed. On the wall over the bed written in crimson red were the words - Aren't you glad you did not turn on the lights last night. It would be discovered later that that those words had been written in Debbie's blood. It would also be some time before Abigail would even speak again.
