Eclipse's POV

I awoke with a start to my static alarm as usual. I groaned and rubbed my face, reminding myself that I needed to get out of bed for school. I turned and went to turn my alarm off. I stopped short as I got a good look at my alarm. My breath caught in my throat and for a split second I was frozen. I finally snapped out of it and grabbed the switch for my salt lamp, rolling the thing until it turned on. I then grabbed my alarm clock and looked at it. The whole screen was full of static and white noise was blaring from it. Reader... you... you didn't do this... right? Please don't do this. Please let me know what I did wrong! I can fix it! Please! I mentally pleaded the reader in hopes that I was just being punished for my selfishness. I heard rustling behind me as Mala sat up and pushed her covers back. I heard her gasp before her shaky voice told me something I'd feared for years.

"E-Eclipse?" She coughed quickly. "Eclipse there's someone by your fucking door!" She screamed. My eyes went as wide as possible and I dropped my clock. It flickered out with a small static screech as it hit my bed. I tried to scream before looking, but my mouth wouldn't open. And my voice wouldn't work. I felt a pain in my chest, like something was squeezing my heart. Slow as possible, I turned towards my door and saw that someone was indeed standing there. I again tried to scream, but ended up with the same results as before. My whole body was frozen in terror. I mentally cursed myself for freezing up. In response, I slowly reached back, feeling the handle of the hammer I keep in my bed in case something like this happens. I pulled it out from the stuffed animals surrounding it. The pain in my chest was gone, but my mouth still didn't want to work. I carefully brought the hammer in front of me. I watched as the person stepped towards me, then stood there. I stood up slowly and held the hammer pointing at the ground. This might've been one of the most stupid things to do in this situation, but I really wasn't thinking clear at the moment.

"Who are you?" I asked, succeeding at making sure my voice was steady. They just stood there and didn't say anything. Anger grew in my chest and I raised my hammer. "Answer me!" I yelled at them. Sadly, I got the same answer as before. I growled and stepped towards them, then lifted the hammer up and brought it down on the side of their head. I watched as they crumpled onto the ground with blood pouring out of their head. I sighed, trying to get my nerves to go down. Not that it mattered anyway. As I took in my first breath I felt arms wrap around my waist. I then felt one of the arms move away from me, whilst the other held both arms. I struggled to get away as much as possible. I looked to Mala only to find her laying on the ground out cold. My eyes widened and I finally yanked my left arm free. As soon as I got it free, I brought my elbow back and heard a crack as My elbow came in contact with something. They let go briefly and I slipped out of their grip. I dropped my hammer as I ran out of my room and opened the basement door to escape, only to be met with a group of people. I gasped and backed up, fear taking over again. They ran towards me. I brought my arm back and punched the first one, only to be met with others. I felt someone grab my arm. I turned and got ready to strike again only to have my other arm grabbed by someone else. I thrashed around as the others came and pinned me to the ground. As I was thrashing around, I saw the first person walk out of my room. My eyes focused on him and I saw he had a rag. A cold feeling came over me as I realized what he was doing. I finally screamed as I struggled more. Their grips were too strong though. I couldn't get out. The first one kneeled beside me. I kept moving my head around, hoping to somehow stop him. I failed as he grabbed my jaw to keep me still. He then pressed the chemical-smelling cloth to my mouth and nose. I held my breath. I saw him signal to someone else, and I heard a zipper unzipping. My eyes flew over to him as I forced myself not to take a breath. I saw him grab my arm before bringing his other hand forward. My eyes widened as I saw he was holding a needle. I looked away, but felt as it pierced my skin. It was then that my body decided that I couldn't hold my breath any longer. I took a deep breath and my lungs demanded more. I felt a tear go down my cheek as black dots started taking over my vision. I closed my eyes not wanting to see them as another tear escaped. I then felt the moment that I lost consciousness.

_____'s POV

I woke up to be greeted by my alarm. I rolled over and turned off my alarm, then sat up and stretched. I smiled as I saw the sunlight streaming through the crack in the blinds. I got out of bed and grabbed a (color) long-sleeved shirt and black leggings. I ran downstairs and grabbed an apple, then ran out to my living room to grab my bag. I put on my (Color) tennis shoes before opening y door and running out. I laughed as I ran in the cool weather. I don't know why, but I was feeling extra happy today. I got to school extra early and went to my (Language) classroom because (Language) was freaking hard! I walked in and saw my teacher sitting at her desk.

"Oh, _____?" She asked as she looked up at me. I nodded.

"Yeah, good morning Ms. Frank." I greeted her. She smiled.

"Good morning _____. " She responded. "Do you need help?" I nodded.

I slid into my seat next to Hank right before the bell rang signaling the start of first hour. I looked around expecting to see Eclipse, but she wasn't here.

"Not with you?" Hank muttered. I assumed he was talking about Eclipse.

"Nope." I muttered back.

I saw hank standing outside of school and I ran over to him. He looked at me as I approached. He was leaning on the brick school wall with one foot against the wall and arms crossed.

"Hey, you ok?" I asked him. He shook his head to dismiss the question.

"Nothin. It's just unlike Eclipse to stay home without texting the minute we got out of school." I nodded.

"Yeah, It's a little unusual, but maybe she's just sleeping?" I sounded really doubtful because I knew that Eclipse close to never took a nap. He shook his head.

"No, we both know that she can't sleep in the daytime." I nodded and looked at the ground.

"You know what? I'm sure she's fine and we're just thinking about it too much." He looked to the ground as I looked up at him.

"I guess." I rolled my eyes and grabbed his arm before dragging him with me through the school gates.

"Come on! Let's just go home! Ok? And if she doesn't show tomorrow then we go to hers. Ok?" He nodded and I let go of his arm. "See ya!" I yelled to him, then started running back home, erasing Eclipse from my mind temporarily and enjoying the feeling of the wind in my hair.
