Big Time Party
The group of five were walking through the halls of Rocque Records, humming or talking to one another until they all stopped in place.
One by one, each person took a whiff of the air and exclaimed:
"I smell party!"
They dropped their things before running off towards the recording studio. They entered to see people bringing food out and setting up tables.
"What's going on?" Kendall asked Gustavo and Kelly.
"Please tell us it's a party," Nini, Carlos and James all say.
"It is the Big-Time Rush party celebrating the making of your first album," Kelly told them.
The five all cheered happily until Gustavo spoke, "No. You're not invited."
"What? Why?" they all asked.
"One, it's a classy party for executives only." Nini frowned, she just had a convincing response and now she doesn't. "Two, I don't need dogs around playing with their food."
"We don't play with food," Kendall, Logan and Nini simultaneously replied.
Kelly looked towards the food table. "James and Carlos, turn around."
Both boys did so. James had sushi rolls around his eyes and carrot sticks up his nose while Carlos had carrot sticks up his nose too and celery in his mouth.
"Problem is I don't know who those boys are," Nini lied with a casual shrug.
Carlos dropped the food out of his face as did James. "Wait, wait, wait. How can you have a Big Time Rush party without Big Time Rush?"
"You'll be here in spirit, and in cut-out form," Kelly answered as some guys brought in a cut out of the boys from the photoshoot.
"Well, we're staying," Kendall replied, making the group cross their arms and stare at Gustavo as if to say 'yes we are'.
Gustavo caved. "Fine."
"Fine," they all repeated.
"Fine! You can stay." A box with lights around it and music playing inside rolled near them to which Gustavo told them, "But do not go in my super party fun box."
As soon as Gustavo walked away, the boys eyed the box labeled 'Super Party Fun Box' causing Nini to sigh, walking over to the food table. "I can't believe they're going to fall for that," she stated, popping a spicy tuna roll in her mouth.

10 minutes later, Nini followed the men from the studio roll in the Super Party Fun Box into the crib. "Thanks, guys," Nini told the men who left before undoing the latches on the box before opening it.
The four boys came out of the box with a gasp since they were all crammed inside.
"I can't believe we fell for that," Kendall stated.
"I can," Nini answered.
"You let Gustavo close the box!" James exclaimed dramatically.
"To be fair, I was grabbing another sushi roll and when I turned around, I just happened to see him click the latches."
As the boys rolled the box away, Mrs. Knight walked by with Katie. "Hey. I'm taking Katie on a day trip; we'll be back late."
"We're going to Vegas," Katie stated excitedly.
Nini grinned. "I like your style."
"San Diego," Mrs. Knight corrected.
Katie raised some car keys. "But I get to drive."
Mrs. Knight gave her a look before grabbing her keys back as Kendall spoke, "Hey, mom, would you mind-"
"No parties," Mrs. Knight cut off. "It's a Palm Woods rule. And if I get another strike, Bitters kicks us out, remember?"
The group all started to think over the time they organized a Palm Woods wide pillow fight, strike one; putting a giant octopus in the Palm Woods pool, strike two.
"Right," the group said.
"Bitters is like a mean grandma," Nini stated. "But at least I got to hit him with a pillow in the face."
Katie barely opened the door when she noticed the two red x's with Bitters face on them. "But did he have to put them on our door?" she asked.
Mrs. Knight turned back to the group. "Be good." She kissed Kendall's cheek before pointedly adding, "I mean it."
As soon as Mrs. Knight and Katie left, James stated, "We have to throw a party. We're teenagers. If we don't party, we could die."
"Party, party!" Carlos cheered.
"We can't party at the Palm Woods," Kendall rold them. "But there's nothing saying we can't have a 'get-together'."
"Ooh, I like the choice of wording, K," Nini stated with a grin.
"Or a social gathering," Logan added.
Nini grinned. "Even better."
"Social gathering!" Nini, James and Carlos chanted in excitement.
"James, Carlos, you two transform 2-J into a cool club atmosphere. And get some snacks and sodies," Kendall told the two.
"And we keep the guest list short, say, three people each, which is not a party, but a get-together," Logan added.
"Get-together!" James and Carlos chanted.
"And I'm gonna go down to the pool right now and invite Jo, 'cause she's my friend and I must invite her," Nini added about to walk out the door until Kendall followed her out into the hall.
"Wait, Nini," Kendall spoke. "So since we're having a small gathering get-together tonight, I was wondering if..." He glanced at the boys who were still inside the apartment. "If you would be my guest friend person thing?"
Nini lightly smiled. "You mean your date," she corrected, lowering her tone.
"That's a term that could also be used."
"So you want me to be your guest friend person thing at our non-party?" Nini asked with a small laugh to which Kendall nodded eagerly. "Okay, yeah, it'll be fun."
Kendall glanced at the boys in the apartment before closing the door only to lean down and peck Nini on the lips. "See you later, friend person thing."
Nini giggled, blush lightly flushing her cheeks as she turned on her heels and left to go downstairs to the pool.
Once she saw Jo, she sat across from her. "Hey, you."
Jo smiled. "Hi, Nini," she greeted back.
"So the boys are having a small get-together later tonight..."
"You mean a party?" she asked, making Nini immediately shush her, glancing over her shoulder for Mr. Bitters.
"It's not a party," Nini told her, sending a small secretive wink making Jo nod, muttering a small 'oh'. "But I was wondering if you wanted to come to our get together thing. I'd love to have you there."
Jo grinned. "Of course, I'll be there at your non-party."
"It's the most non of parties you'll ever go to," Nini replied, making Jo laugh as Nini stood up. "It's gonna be super fun, and it starts at 7:00." Nini began to turn around to leave when she gasped in surprise to see Mr. Bitters glaring at her. "Cheese and rice, you need a bell."
"What's super fun and starts at 7:00?" Mr. Bitters asked, ignoring her previous statement.
"We're going to play marbles at that time," Nini answered, trying to give a casual smile before walking away with a huff.

After inviting Camille, Nini entered the apartment to see James and Carlos had already shifted the place into party central. Music played, a disco ball was already up, couches were moved to make a VIP area and cups and bowels were filled with soda and chips.
"Guys, it's just a small gathering get-together," Kendall told James and Carlos as his girlfriend and Logan stood on both sides of him.
James and Carlos slightly deflated. "Dude. We're not in Minnesota anymore," James told them. "This is the big leagues."
"Our big-time Hollywood party cred starts tonight. We start small, but you start hot," Carlos added as Kendall looked to Logan who shook his head with an eye roll while Nini chuckled in amusement.
"And before you know it, we'll be known as the Hollywood super party kings of Hollywood," James added before he and Carlos cheered.
"You said Hollywood twice," Logan and Nini told James.
"You bet I did," James replied to them both as the doorbell rang to which him and Carlos rushed to the door, opening it and letting people in. "Welcome to the get-together."
"Snacks to the left. Dance floor is straight ahead, and good times all around," Carlos added.
Nini saw Camille and Jo come through the door. "Hey, guys, I'm so glad you came."
"Hi," Jo greeted,
"Hey, where's Logan?" Camille asked immediately.
"Kitchen," Nini answered before turning to Jo, pulling the girl to her side. "How's this for a non-party?"
"Not the most non of parties I've been to but definitely cool," Jo replied.
"Not my fault, it's James and Carlos's fault."
As if on cue, James and Carlos appeared beside them. "If you mean it's our fault that we threw the best get-together in the history of get-togethers, Nins..." Carlos began.
"Then, yes, it's our fault," James finished.
Nini rolled her eyes as the boys hurried away to dance. "I love those boys but they drive me crazy."
"They're your friends, that's what they're supposed to do," Jo stated.
The songwriter chuckled. "I guess so..." She caught the eyes of Kendall eyeing her with a small smile from the V.I.P. Area.
Jo also caught onto this. "Go to him," she told her.
Nini shook her head. "No, I don't want to leave you alone."
"Go, Nini. It's not easy sneaking around especially when those guys are your friends..." she nodded towards James and Carlos. "I'll be okay, I'll just mingle."
Nini smiled. "Thanks," she told her before approaching the V.I.P. area where Kendall was waiting at the velvet ropes with a clipboard. "Hello, good sir. Am I on the list?"
"Actually, you're the only one," Kendall replied, tossing the clipboard somewhere and opening the velvet rope to Nini who sat on a beanbag chair as did Kendall once he put the rope back in place. "Alone at last."
Nini smiled. "Well, as alone as we can get," she stated, looking around to see people were still dancing outside of their area before taking Kendall's hand. "But I'll take it."
Kendall leaned closer to her. "I so badly want to kiss you right now," he admitted, making Nini giggle. "Would it be bad if I did?"
"I don't mind it but..." she glanced over to see James and Carlos were too busy dancing to notice and Logan was occupied with Camille distracting him. "You know, it wouldn't be bad at all."
She leaned over to kiss him softly for a moment before pulling back causing Kendall to smile. "This is nice, being alone with you..." Nini was about to add something else to Kendall's words until Logan jumped in between them causing the couple to separate. "And Logan."
Nini sighed but nevertheless asked, "What's wrong, Logey?"
"Camille's all over me and says we're in a movie together. Yay," he told her before chuckling nervously and saying, "Help."
"Logey, I don't see the problem," Nini replied. "Camille's cool."
"You have to admit she's kind of crazy," Kendall stated.
Nini chuckled. "And our friends are normal?" she asked, nodding towards Carlos who was dancing crazily, knocking someone down without realizing it and kept dancing.
"Logan, just tell her that you're not interested and you want to be friends," Kendall told Logan.
"Or you can just relax and see where it goes," Nini added. "Camille's fun and awesome so maybe her fantasy movie could be a good time."
After thinking it over, Logan jumped up, yelling out a karate yell before saying, "Yeah, a cool movie. Thanks, Nins. Kendall, you were totally wrong."
"All right, everybody's here," James called out after letting Guitar Dude and a few others in.
"Let's social gather!" Carlos cheered, going back to dance again.
Nini turned to Kendall who helped her said, "So I think our non-date at this..." He looked around the room. "Not-party is going very nicely."
"I agree," Nini stated with a small smile. "But before Logan got here, where were we?"
"Well..." Kendall adjusted his body to face her as he did before. "I think I was right here and you were-"
"Here," Nini said, scooting closer to Kendall before leaning forward to kiss him again.
Just as her lips barely touched his, she jumped away to see a large group of people rush in, knocking down James and Carlos. Some people jumping into the VIP area to which Kendall pulled Nini to stand before she could get crowded in.
"Where did all these people come from?" Nini asked in worry.
"Let's go find out," Kendall said and he held her hand as the two tried to weave through the many people, standing in front of James and Carlos. "Who invited all of these people?"
"I don't know," James answered. "I only invited the three hottest girls in my phone."
"And I couldn't decide, so I texted the first three people in my phone," Carlos answered before grabbing his phone and reading off. "Abigail Aaron, Andrea Adams, and Al Contacts."
Nini grabbed his phone reading it over. "Carlos Garcia!" she yelled, making the boys jump in slight fear. "It says 'all contacts'!"
"You invited your whole phone?!" James exclaimed as even more people came running through the door cheering.
"Oh, this is bad," the four simultaneously said.
"This was supposed to be a small gathering, and now it's an uncontrollable party that gets us kicked out of the Palm Woods," Kendall stated.
Nini huffed, her head on the counter with a thump. "James, Carlos, if we get kicked out of here because of you..." she paused. "I don't what I'll do but you'll never see the light of day again."
Two people who came in, doing a cool trick before saying, "Opa!"
"You have Russian acrobats in your contact list?" Kendall questioned.
"I'm a people person," Carlos answered with a shrug.
"Emergency party plan," Kendall stated. "I'm gonna go get my date-friend," he quickly corrected. "Nini, and go downstairs, keep an eye on Bitters so we don't get our third strike, while you guys get rid this party."
"Right. On it," James and Carlos told him.
Kendall pulled Nini away from the counter. "Come on, Nins. I have a plan."
"Does it involve killing the boys?" she asked as Kendall led her out the door with him.
"No but we'll save that plan for another time," Kendall replied. "For now, it's keep an eye on Bitters so he stays off our case."
Nini sighed. "Not much of a date."
"No, sorry, it isn't going well," Kendall told her as they walked towards the elevator when the doors opened revealing Mr. Bitters in a one piece suit and holding some kind of microphone machine. "And it just got worse."
He ran the device along Kendall then Nini as if trying to pick up something. The girl couldn't help but remark, "Sorry, Venkman, we didn't call you. No ghosts up here."
Kendall slightly laughed at that since Mr. Bitters could've been portrayed as Ghostbuster with the outfit he was wearing. But the man ignored her and hurried off.
Kendall sighed once he was gone. "We're dead."
Nini slowly grinned as she came up with an idea before loudly calling out, "Sure, Kendall, I'd love to go to that party on the fourth floor."
She pulled Kendall into the elevator as it closed, Mr. Bitters running back over but the elevator was already moving.
As they got out of the elevator shortly, Kendall was on the phone. "James, Bitters is roaming the hall now looking for our party. Did you get everyone out of the apartment?" He stopped suddenly. "Are you on the dance floor?"
Nini grabbed Kendall by the wrist, lowering the phone to her. "James Diamond, if you don't get those people out of the apartment, I'm going to do something very bad to your lucky comb."
She heard him yelp in fear before hanging up.
"He's probably hiding it from you," Kendall said, referring to James's lucky hair comb.
"No doubt," she agreed as the elevator dinged nearby to which Nini grabbed his hand and ran off towards their apartment.
Kendall opened the door. "Okay, everyone out! The party's..." The apartment was already empty. "Over."
Nini hummed. "Guess I should threaten James and his prized possessions more often."
"I can't believe the Hollywood super party kings of Hollywood actually got rid of the party. Now to just turn off this music."
Kendall turned down the stereo but the music continued as Nini saw glowing lights outside. She approached the window and gaped. "Uh, Kendall, you're going to want to see this."
Kendall approached. Outside in the pool area, the boys were still having their party.
The couple rushed downstairs and approached James and Carlos.
"Guys, we told you to get rid of everybody," Nini told them.
"No, you said to get everybody out of the apartment," James told her.
"And we did," Carlos added cheering.
"Can't break my lucky comb now," James bragged to Nini.
The girl just crossed her arms as the boys continued to dance. She sighed, resting her head on Kendall's arm. "I don't want to get kicked out."
She looked up when Logan screamed and was thrown into the pool causing Kendall to huff, looking at Nini. "Okay, Logan's in the pool. James and Carlos think they're the kings of party land. And Bitters is not gonna stop until he finds a party to bust." Nini remembered the box from the studio earlier and an idea formed causing her to smile causing Kendall to say, "I smell brain."
She nodded. "I'm using it. If Bitters wants a party to bust..."
"Then we should give him a party to bust," Kendall finished, making the girl grin.
She ran off, grabbing the party blow horns before Kendall turned off the stereo, grabbing it with Nini following.
The two waited in the stairwell, turned up the music and started blowing on the party horns.
"Party!" they heard Bitters exclaimed before running over.
With Kendall's free hand, he grabbed Nini's, pulling her down the stairs. "Run."
The two exited the stairwell causing Kendall to say, "You know, we're gonna laugh about this some day."
She giggled. "What do you mean 'some day'? I'm laughing about it now." She heard Mr. Bitters coming down the stairwell. "Party!" she exclaimed, blowing the party air horn before continuing to run with Kendall.
They ran to the Super Party Fun box in the hall, putting the stereo in and turning the music up louder before lightly closing it.
They hid behind the corner together as they watched Mr. Bitters approach, opening it before stepping in. "Hey, it's just an empty-"
Kendall closed the box while Nini locked the latches in place, both sighing with relief. "So what do we do now?" Nini asked with a grin.
"We party," Kendall answered, raising his hand for a high five. Nini returned it before Kendall interlocked their fingers, leaning down to peck her lips. "And maybe continue our date."
Nini smiled. "I like the sound of that."
Still holding hands, Kendall and Nini hurried back down to the pool area.
