Big Time Break
The group all sat at the Palm Woods pool in the pool chairs. They were quiet for a long moment until James spoke, "Hey, did I ever tell you guys about the time my hairdryer blew up and I-"
Kendall, Logan, Carlos, and Nini all responded:
"Yes."
"Heard it."
"About 30 times."
"I saw it so..."
It was quiet until Logan spoke, "You know what I think ruins a smoothie?"
Everyone responded with,
"Yes."
"Raspberry seeds."
"Heard it."
"Tasted it."
It was quiet again until Carlos spoke, "Hey, do you guys remember that time..."
"Robots from space," they all replied.
Kendall sat up. "That's it. We are spending way too much time together.
"I am starting to hate all of you," James stated before looking to the girl. "Except you."
"Same here," Logan agreed.
"Split up!" Carlos yelled out.
The group all ran different directions but somehow still wound up at the crib.
"Seriously?" Nini questioned.
"Split up again!" James yelled.
Then the group split up but still ended up in the same hall at Rocque Records.
They all huffed before pushing one another to go in different directions.
Gustavo came out in a tennis-playing outfit, making the five stop. "Dogs," he spoke. "I'm taking the rest of the day off. I'm starting to hate all of you." Everyone all mumbled in agreement to which Gustavo nodded. Really? Well, then, split up!"
Once again, they all went different directions but the group of five arrived back at the crib.
"Okay, what part of splitting up are we not getting here?" Logan asked.
"Who cares? We have a day off," Carlos stated.
"I call the pool to hang out with my other friends. Later," Nini spoke, rushing out the door.
Kendall slowly nodded. "Actually, I'm going to the pool too." He walked to the door but looked back at the boys. "Alone. Stay away from me."
Kendall left and shortly, the boys did too.

At the pool, Nini sat at a table with Jo, talking while Kendall watched from afar behind a bush.
He jumped when Katie snuck up behind him and smacked the back of his head. "Why are you spying on Nini?" Katie asked.
Kendall scoffed. "I'm not spying. I'm secretly observing her from afar."
"That's spying," Katie replied.
"Katie," Kendall scolded.
"Didn't she say she likes a guy here at the Palm Woods?" Katie stated although she knew the truth, Nini did say that.
"Yes," Kendall answered through gritted teeth. "And it would be wrong of me to ask my best friend out who's already taken. Right?"
Katie rolled her eyes. "Oh, please." She then called out, "Hey, Nini!"
Kendall was then shoved forward as Jo pointed out to Kendall. Nini smiled. "Oh, hey, Kendall," she greeted. "What's up?"
"So I'm just gonna go," Jo told Nini, standing. "See you later?"
"Totally," Nini told her before turning back to Kendall.
"I have the day off, and I thought maybe we could...hang out," Kendall replied.
Nini furrowed her eyebrows. "We hang out all the time...with the guys."
"Which is awesome," Kendall stated. "And it's also awesome being just friends with girls. It's cool."
Nini chuckled. "Tell me something I don't know." She paused, standing. "Well, I was just about to hit the gym to get in touch with an old skill on mine, and I could use a training partner. Want to come along...buddy?"
"Yes," Kendall answered right away before calming down. "I mean, what are we doing, weights? Cardio?"
Nini smirked. "Sure," was all she said.

Kendall fell back on a mat. "Karate. Cool," he grunted.
Nini giggled as she helped Kendall. "You remember when I used to take it and Judo for a few years, right?" she asked him.
"Oh yeah, you beat up Ricky Bowen in fourth grade," Kendall reminded.
"I did," Nini admitted proudly.
"You're good but do you sing as good as you fight?" Kendall taunted.
Nini grabbed Kendall's arm, pinning it behind his back making him yelp. "Do you sing as good as you fall?"
"Oh, no," Kendall mumbled and soon Nini pinned him to the mat.
Nini gave him a smile. "Remember when I did that to Ricky Bowen? Just let me know when you've had enough, K," she replied, helping him up again.
But as he stood back up, he pulled her in close to him and grinned. "I could do this all day," he told her, his face inches from hers.
They were so close, he could almost kiss her.
Oh gosh, Kendall was making a move on her and Nini knew it. And while she did like him...a lot but she was scared of losing years worth of friendship.
"Dios mío..." Nini mumbled before pushing him back and flipping him on his back.

The whole day after that, Kendall kept flirting with her. It wasn't rude or disgusting, it was small cute gestures but her fear kept her guarded.
He'd get her a smoothie and he tried to sneak his straw in to share with her until Nini just reminded him that she likes personal space which he respected backing away.
By the pool, Nini sat in a pool chair as she watched Logan (who was dressed like a girl strut in the hotel lobby). "Awhooga," she mumbled with a small giggle before speaking in the phone, "Oh, ma. It was Logan dressed as a girl. What a babe."
Her eyes moved to Kendall who opened a pizza box nearby which was Nini's favorite pizza but in the shape of a heart. Any other time, Nini would've giggled like an idiot but she mouthed, 'I have a date tomorrow'. She was lying.
Nini spoke back in the phone, staring down at her shoes. "No, ma, I'm spending the day with Kendall. He thinks I have a crush om some random actor guy..." Nini didn't notice Katie was right next to her, listening to her every word. "I know, I still like Kendall, I just don't want to ruin our friendship and I'm pretty sure he likes me but partnership first, boyfriend later, remember?" Nini still watched Kendall sit under the cabana with the pizza. "...He's very cute as always. It's kind of hard to focus when all I do is see him at work and the crib. I got to go, mom. Love you. Bye."
Katie lowered her magazine in shock as Nini hung up before standing up and sitting beside Kendall. "Sorry. That was my ma. She said hi," she stated.
"Enjoy," Kendall told her.
"I will," she replied, grabbing a napkin and a slice of pizza, more specifically, the one in the middle.
"Hey, big brother," Katie spoke to Kendall, approaching him. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
Kendall forced a smile. Katie, I love you, but I'm a little busy right now-" he stated, motioning to Nini until Katie grabbed him by his ear, pulling him away to which he followed muttering multiple 'ow's.
Once they were away from Nini, Katie had let go of Kendall and stated, "You are a chump."
"What, for going after a girl who likes some actor guy and probably will go out with him?" Kendall asked.
"No, because you're going after a girl who's lying about having a crush on an actor guy," Katie replied.
Kendall glanced back at Nini in shock who gave him a happy wave and smile before he turned back to Katie. "Say what?" he questioned. "What do you mean Nins doesn't like anyone?"
"I heard her talking to her mother," Katie replied. "The crush on someone else thing is a scam. Now, look at her and give her the one second 'my little sister's crazy' gesture."
Kendall did so, looking back at Nini who chuckled and muttered 'sorry'. Kendall looked back at his little sister. "She's been playing me this whole time?"
"Like a fiddle," Katie responded. "She likes you but doesn't want to ruin your friendship or get hurt."
Kendall gaped. "What? That's so not true. I never hurt her and we wouldn't destroy our friendship. We're that close."
"What are you gonna do about it, big brother?" Katie asked. "And remember, I look up to you."
"Oh, you don't worry. It's on," Kendall replied before doing his handshake with Katie and turning back, sitting beside Nini.
"Is Katie okay?" Nini asked.
"She's great," Kendall answered before crossing his arms over his chest. "Now, let's talk, just friend to just friend."
Nini shrugged, noticing his change of tone. "Okay. What do you want to talk about?"
"Your crush," Kendall answered, making her face fall. "What's his name? What's his favorite sport? Is he allergic to shellfish?"
"Oh, well, um..." Nini began before saying, "EJ doesn't really talk about sports or his allergies."
"You sure you this guy is real? I mean, I've heard stories of girls who make up fake boyfriends," Kendall stated. "But you would never do something like that. Would you, Nins?"
He watched her every move. "No," she answered, setting down her pizza and began to tug on her sleeve. "In fact, my totally real crush EJ is coming over to work on some songs. He's a singer too."
She put down her food and began to fidget with her shirt sleeve, things she does when she's lying and Kendall knew that.
"Well, I can't wait to meet him," Kendall said with a smile, standing up.
Nini forced a smile as she also stood, silently cursing herself out. "Well, I can't wait for you to meet him."
"I'll be relaxing and waiting in the lobby."
"Great. I'll see you soon."
"Great."
"Great."
"Great," they both said before walking in different directions.
But Nini walked back to the pizza, picking the box up and carrying it away with her.
What? She eats a lot when she's nervous.

As Nin walked through the lobby, arm in arm with paid actor, Kendall was already waiting at a table with Katie.
"Kendall," she spoke to her friend who stood up. "I'd like to introduce you to my boyfriend, who just got in from auditioning for One Tree Hill, who loves basketball, and is not allergic to shellfish," Nini stated.
"Well, it's very nice to meet you," Kendall said. "AJ, right?"
"Right," the actor agreed.
This made Kendall exclaim, "Ha!"
Nini gaped at this. "No, I'm JJ. MJ. RJ," the actor tried to lie.
"EJ!" Nini exclaimed in frustration. "Your name is EJ. And you're fired."
"Do I still get my 20 bucks?" the actor asked her.
Nini pushed him. "Goodbye, dude." Kendall happily waved to the actor before turning back to Nini who narrowed her eyes at him. "You set me up."
"Well, you lied to me," Kendall stated.
"I didn't want a boyfriend or..." Nini nearly snapped.
"Who says I wanted to be your boyfriend?" Kendall replied.
"You were hitting on me!" Nini exclaimed.
"So were you! Multiple times on multiple days!" Kendall exclaimed back. "And, frankly, I don't like dating girls who I've liked since 8th grade but I didn't want to admit and a girl who also lies and think that I would ever hurt them!"
"Well, I don't like dating boys who've been my crush since 6th grade but just barely make me realize it since we got to L.A. and a boy who also catches me in my lies and make me hire idiot actors who can't remember their names," she snapped.
"Well, then, I guess we're done here," Kendall concluded.
"I guess we are."
"Fine."
"Fine!"
They both turned their backs and walked opposite ways until Nini stopped, fighting a smile.
She turned on her heels facing Kendall once more as did he.
Only she stomped up to him, cupping his face and connecting their lips.
Kendall immediately kissed her back, longingly.
As Nini dropped her hands to rest on his shoulders, he gently grabbed her chin, raising her head to meet his level.
Once they finally pulled away, Nini's eyes fluttered open. This was so much better than the last kiss.
"Hi," she whispered.
"Hi," Kendall repeated with a smile, still holding her chin.
"Did you mean what you said before about me?" Nini asked softly.
"Yeah, did you too?" Kendall questioned.
Nini giggled. "Yeah, I did. I do like you a lot."
Kendall nodded. "So do you want to go to the movies sometime?"
Nini grinned. "Yeah, I'd like that. So..." She pecked his lips. "Bye."
Kendall walked away from her with his own dreamy smile, sitting back down at the table with Katie.
"I don't think I completely get the whole teenage dating thing," Katie stated.
"I'm not sure I do either, baby sister," Kendall replied.
Meanwhile, Nini walked to the pool, approaching Jo. "Hey," she greeted with a grin, sitting beside her.
"What's with the goofy grin?" Jo asked her.
"Uh...I don't know..." Nini trailed off before saying excitedly, "Just the fact that Kendall and I kissed." Jo gaped. "And for real this time. And...we might have a date with him."
"Look at you go," Jo stated, placing her hands over Nini's. "You got your dream boy to ask you out."
"I know!"
They let out squeals of excitement together.
"Next, you gotta tackle your stage fright," Jo said.
Nini's face fell. "Let's cross that bridge another time."
"Eh, worth a try."

As the day was over, the group (minus Logan) and Katie sat on the couch.
"I had such a crazy day," Carlos stated, giving his helmet two lucky taps. "Check it out-"
"I had the best time today," Kendall stated, winking at Nini. "You guys got to hear what happened..."
"You're not gonna believe what happened to me..." James added.
"I totally had an amazing day. This is what happened..." Nini began as well, grinning at Kendall.
Mrs. Knight along with Carlos's dad, Mr. Garcia sat down snacks on the table. "Okay, all right, guys," he stated. "So how do we decide who tells their story first?"
The front door fell to which Logan walked in, dress ripped, and still dressed like a girl making the guys' jaws drop.
"Logan goes first," everyone said.
With a chuckle, Logan wobbles and falls to the floor making everyone rush to help him up.

So Bill Skarsgård, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan and Robert Pattinson are all in one upcoming Netflix movie in September...they were all my crushes at one point in my life just saying.
