Chapter 1
The day had started like any other of the week. The sky was clear and a gentle breeze was swaying the leaves of the trees. The temperature was somewhat cool, which is why people came out with something warm, but not too thick, because throughout the day they would have to get rid of them, complaining about how hot the sun was.
Jungkook liked this time. He liked to start the day with that coolness that invited him to snuggle further into the sheets and stay wrapped in their warmth until the next day. But she also loved the warmth of the sun's rays shining on her skin, revitalizing it and giving her skin a honey color that drew the attention of many.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." Jimin greeted him from the foot of his bed. As always, he was the first to get up.
"Mhm, good morning." He answered in a sleepy voice as he stretched.
"Ready to start the best day of your life?" Jimin asked him with a wide smile. Confusion washed over the young man's face for a few seconds until he remembered what his hyung was referring to. "Can't we save it for another day?" The young man complained.
The smile disappeared completely from Jimin's face, who crossed his arms, clearly unhappy with his question. “No, we cannot leave it for another day. You know why? Because you promised to come with us the next time we party. And it's the next time. "
“I know what I said, but it's too early! He didn't expect us to be dating just three days after we talked about it. It makes me think that it was all a trap. " Jungkook complained with narrowed eyes as he put on a shirt and headed to the bathroom to relieve his bladder.
"My, my, it seems that someone has a bad lose." The lopsided smile Jimin gave him only increased his desire not to go out with them, and he let her know with his eyes. But Jimin didn't flinch, he just patted him on the shoulder before leaving. "Do not delay. Tae is making breakfast. "
With a heavy sigh, Jungkook resigned himself to his fate. The point is that Jungkook was not a boy who liked to party, because that implied that there would be a lot of people, which in turn meant that he would have to be exposed to all kinds of smells.
Being an omega, his sense of smell was quite developed, which was a blessing as well as torture. Although Jungkook enjoyed the smell of fabric softener on his clothes, the smell of fresh coffee, or the smell of wet earth after a rainy day, there were smells that were not so pleasant but that he could bear.
However, a crowded and closed place, like the club Jimin and Taehyung wanted to go to, made him nervous. It wasn't the fact of being surrounded by sweaty, unfamiliar people. After all, he worked in a small cafeteria, and being in contact with strangers and smells that were not so pleasant was part of the inconvenience of working in front of the public.
What bothered Jungkook was the smell of lust and sex in the environment. It was completely normal to party in order to have a good time, to release tension and, if you were lucky, to get an alpha to spend the night with. For this last reason, many omegas resorted to certain perfumes that made them even more palatable to alphas, ensuring that they captured their attention. Therefore, all that mixture of smells overloaded Jungkook's nose, giving him the feeling of having a cold, as if his nose had completely stopped working.
However, as much as it bothered him, he had promised his friends that he would go out with them, and Jungkook was one of those who kept what he promised.
Also, it was only one night, as Taehyung had said, and it had been a long time since the three of them went out together, since when one left to go to work, the other arrived. Taehyung and Jimin were the ones who suffered the most, since their free time was drastically reduced, preventing them from spending their time as a couple as they had planned.
Fortunately, the new cafeteria manager seemed better able to organize work, and had told them there would be changes. Jungkook and Taehyung had crossed their fingers that one of those changes was the schedules.
After breakfast, the three of them dressed and left the apartment. Jimin said goodbye to them before continuing on his way to the academy where he taught dance classes, while he and Taehyung went to do the shopping, taking advantage of the fact that they had the same hours today and did not start working for a couple of hours.
"You will see how well we will have a good time." Taehyung said excitedly when they reached the apartment.
The other omega could barely contain how excited he was to party after so long. Just like Jimin, Taehyung was a personable person and everyone liked him, it was easy to strike up a conversation with him, whether you were his friend or a complete stranger. And although Jungkook had lost that shyness that characterized him when he was younger, he could not reach the level of socialization of his friends. "I get an idea." Jungkook said with a smile. "I am sure you will be the center of all eyes."
"Of course! Jimin has taught me a new dance move. Come, I'll show you. " And that's how they spent the time they had left before going to work.
The first hours of work passed slowly, as if an invisible entity had stopped the clock at the same time. But Jungkook and Taehyung knew very well that this situation would not last long. Soon groups of students would be coming through the door, willing to relax and hang out, or take advantage of the light streaming through the windows to study while they waited for their next class to begin. But the cafeteria was not only frequented by students.
Being located near many businesses, it was normal to see all kinds of people frequenting the place. So when rush hour came and the venue began to fill up, the staff were more than mentally prepared to deal with the rush of customers. When Sooyoung, the new manager, He informed them that his colleagues from the next shift had arrived and that they could go home, they all breathed a sigh of relief. Sooyoung smiled knowingly about the hard day they had faced, saying goodbye to each and congratulating them on a job perfectly executed. The previous manager would never have said something like that to them, so everyone was blown away to see that they recognized their efforts.
"Ready?" Taehyung asked beside him as he took off his apron and left it on the appropriate hanger.
Jungkook answered him with a nod and the two of them left the cafeteria, breathing in relief as the sound of customer conversations was muffled after the door closed. "We are free, finally." Jungkook sighed in relief.
“Yes, today was a complete hell. But luckily, tonight we can enjoy it to the fullest without having to get up early the next day." Taehyung commented excitedly while moving his eyebrows suggestively.
"Speak for yourself and Jimin hyung. The two of you are going to enjoy tonight more than I do. " Jungkook said with a smile, imagining his two friends dancing on the floor as if there was no tomorrow, their bodies moving sensually, capturing the attention of more than one, even though they were in their own world, teasing each other to see who would give in first to desire.
"You know you can say no, right?" At the question, Jungkook stopped short, confused by his friend's comment. “I mean,” Taehyung spoke again as they picked up pace, “I know this is all because you lost the bet, and I know how competitive and stubborn you are, but I don't want you to feel obligated. We know how much you hate crowds, and neither of us want you to feel uncomfortable when you're supposed to be having a good time. "
Jungkook was silent for a moment, Taehyung's words taking him a bit by surprise. “I know I can refuse, but the truth is that I want to go out. I need a change, you know? And what better way to do it than to go out and enjoy the pleasures that the night offers." It wasn't his preferred plan, but he would have to settle for now.
"That's my boy!" Taehyung exclaimed happily as he put an arm around his shoulder and pulled him against him. "We have raised you so well." The older said as he wiped away a nonexistent tear, making Jungkook laugh with his drama. He had said it as a joke, but deep down what Taehyung was saying was true. Jimin and he had been in charge of protecting him since he arrived in the capital, welcoming him under their roof and encouraging him to overcome the obstacles that were presented to him.
“You'll see, Kookie. Tonight is going to be your night. I'm sure of it. I can smell it in the air. "
