Anushka's POV

I fidget with my fingers nervously and tapping my legs continuously as I looked around the beach nervously.

"Arre Anu why are you so nervous now? It's just Abhay." Ishan asks me.

"Yeah, but I just- I hope likes whatever I've planned." I sigh and my nervousness was just increasing as the time of him reaching here was nearing.

"You could even take him to the balcony for tea as a date and he would still like it. You've planned a lot for him, trust me he'll love it." Shubman assures me.

"Yeah you guys are right. And thank you for all of this, y'all are the most amazing friends anybody could have." I thank them as I feel my nerves decrease.

"We know." Shubman replies with a smirk and Ishan grins at me, showing a thumbs up.

"You know what? Let's just forget I said that." I roll my eyes at them and a gush of wind blows on my face.

"Andddd your hair is a mess now." Shubman adds and I try to smoothen it.

"Bhai tu uski nervousness abhi kam kari aur ab badha rahe ho." Ishan glares at him.

"Anu don't worry okay, no matter how you look I'm pretty sure you're always the prettiest girl for him." Shubman states and I look at him blankly.

"Isn't that a little too much?" I ask him, my eyebrows raised curiously.

"I don't think so, that's literally what everybody what every guy thinks about the person he's with and Abhay clearly adores you." Ishan tells and a small smile forms on my face.

Our conversation is cut by the honk of a vehicle and we all turn in confusion.

"Ohhh, your man is here." Ishan teases me with a nudge and I give him a pointed look.

"Iyer Cabs at your service, ma'am." Shreyas bhaiya comes and bows infront of me.

"Kya yaar bhaiya ek help maang li toh nautanki shuru kar li." I groan and slap my forehead with my palm.

"Arre I'm just pulling your leg, chalo your date has finally decided to step out of the car, I'll let you both in peace." he tells before leaving and my eyes fall on Abhay who was behind Shreyas bhaiya and was nearing me.

"We're twinning." I tell after noticing his outfit was a white t-shirt and jeans as well as a dark blue denim jacket on it. I chose to wear white lace t shirt tucked into a pair of light blue jeans.

"I got you some flowers." he tells me as he hands me a bonquet which had white roses with tinges of blue at the top. (The picture is in the media section at the top for reference)

"Abhay these are so beautiful, thank you" I tell him awe as the corner of my lips lift up into a smile.

"It's high time we stop with the formalities." he tells and tucks strands of my flying hair behind my ear "I've forgotten how windy beaches can be."

"Right? Whenever we were at the other beaches here it was so sunny." I agree with him.

"Okay, so do you want to eat first or you know, just walk or roam around here?" I ask him because we were just swinging our interlinked hands up and down, clueless about what to do.

"Food first, always." he tells and I nod my head in agreement. We make our way to this restuarant which was on the beach side and provided us with the view of the blues waters and the blue sky, which would be turning into shades of orange and a dark blue in some time as it was nearing the sunset.

"Okay so I wanted to arrange the food for tonight but then Kash, Jess and Smu told me that they'll take care about arranging the food for tonight. So if anything goes wrong. it's on them." I tell him, half joking and half serious.

"I guess I should be worried then." he jokes and we laugh, looking over at the view beside us. A waiter comes with two plates of food in the hand and places them on the table.

"Pizza!"

"Misal Pav!"

I grin excitedly at the sight of both of our favourite foods and I see him looking at me with an adorable smile.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask him as the heat in my cheeks rise up.

"You look extremely adorable when you're excited" he shrugs and then, we dig into the food

"I'm already impressed with the food choices, they really do know us well." Abhay grins happily and I grin back at him. Thank god for our friends.

"Chocolate ice cream for the both of you." the waiter comes and gives Abhay the ice cream in a bowl and mine in a cone.

"Thank you." the both of us tell the waiter as we accept the dessert from him.

"I still don't understand why people like eating something as amazing as ice cream with a cone." Abhay tells and I roll my eyes at home.

"It is really amazing with a cone too, what do you mean?" I ask him, our debate about cone ice cream taking place for the millionth time.

"I thought you had taste." he tells me blatantly as he takes another spoon of ice cream.

"Of course I do, you're literally my boyfriend." I tell him and he chokes on his ice cream.

"You always know how to leave me without a comeback." he tells me and I grin proudly at him.

"Planning all of this must've taken some time na." he says as we wind up with our food and walk towards the beach.

"Well, a bit." I shrug at him with a sheepish smile.

"I had a great time today, thank you for planning this." he tells me, placing a hand around my shoulder and I stand closer to him.

"I thought you said it's high time we stop with the formalities." I look at him.

"That I did" He nods his head in agreement "But yeah, today was amazing and just so you know, you could even take me to the balcony for tea as a date and I would still like it."

The fact that Shubman literally said the same thing about Abhay, these boys know each other way too well.

The sight of the sunset took my mind back to our first date and a happy sigh escapes my mouth as I think about the day.

"Shall we watch the sunset?" he asks me.

"You just read my mind." I grin at him and we take a seat on the beach, watching the waves flowing and the sun setting.

If anybody told me a year ago that I would've finally met Abhay and actually ended up dating him, I would've lost my mind laughing because it was all so impossible that time.

But here I am now, watching the sunset with my head rested on his shoulder and being the most relaxed version of myself with Abhay, who always lit up a smile on my face and just made me feel so....loved.

"I love you." I tell him and he looks at me, speechless.

"You don't have to say it back, I'm probably going to fast but-" I start with panic and he cuts me off, placing his lips on mine.

"I love you too." he tells, placing his forehead on mine "And don't worry, you're not going to fast. We're both on the same pace."

This time, it was my turn to look at him speechlessly.

"You know what I'm so glad I met you. You're like this fresh breath of air in my hectic life. You keep me grounded and just, so happy and just so full of energy."  he gets into a soliloquy

"Abhay I'm-" I tell him, getting teary eyed.

"What, no please don't cry." he tells as he places his hand on my cheek and rubs circles on it with his thumb.

"You speak stuff like that and expect me not to get emotional?" I playfully chuckle and snuggle closer to him.

It all feels like a dream.
