Kash's POV

I blink groggily, rubbing my hand over my eyes to shield them from the striking sun light. I groan and shift over to the opposite side, which was hard because I had a pair of hands wrapped around my waist.

The ends of my lips curl into a smile at the sight infront of me. A sleeping Ishan, looking absolutely peaceful. No creases on his forehead, no worry about the next match, just him sleeping without any tension. Taking in the moment.

"You're staring." he mumbles sleepily with a small smile, breaking my running thoughts about him.

"Just admiring beauty, there's nothing wrong in that na?" I tell him as I trave his lower jaw with my index finger.

"My god, you are so cheesy. Abhay se cheesiness classes liya hai kya?" he asks me and I roll my eyes at him.

"Just being honest" I tell him, stifling a yawn. "I think I need to freshen up now."

"But whyyy?" he whines "We'll stay here for some more time."

"Because we need to hang out with our friends." I tell as I try to get out of the bed but fail miserably, because Ishan had a tight grip around my waist.

"Ishan, let me go." I whine at him but he just pulls me closer to him.

"Kash stay here na, we've spend a lot of time with them. Let's take some time off and be together. " Ishan mumbles as he pulls me closer to him by my waist and then snuggles his face into my neck.

"Ishan if we don't go now they'll think we were doing something else last night" I mumble weakly. His snuggling had an effect on me and now I don't feel like going down either.

"No matter what we do, they'll think something gross anyways. Their heads are always in the gutter." he states.

We were done with almost half of our trip in Samoa and considering we were all tired due to travelling around places every day, the Indian Cricket Family (as we liked to call the entire group of the Indian Cricket Team and their families) chose to take a day off for rest.

"So, did you get any nightmares yesterday?" I ask him. We'd spend the entire time last night reading Shadow and Bone, which was also filled with Ishan grumbling that he'll get nightmares despite liking the book.

"Thankfully, I didn't or else, that crime would've been on your head." he accuses me and I don't know if I should roll my eyes or laugh at how dramatic that was.

"You're so dramatic Ishan, it's just Shadow and Bone." I chuckle and shrug at him.

"Just Shadow and Bone? Kash that is the most violent book I've ever read." he states and gives me a look.

"You clearly haven't read many books then." I retort him and he rolls his eyes at me while I stick out my tongue at him. Might seem childish, but that's how Ishan and I were.

'My eyes are always too busy looking at you all the time, how am i supposed to read then?" he tells me with a smirk and I roll my eyes at him.

"My god, you are so cheesy. Abhay se cheesiness classes liya hai kya?" I mock him, stating what he said while he woke up.

"Just being honest." he mocks my reply from before and I snort in response.

After some time of lying down on the bed, we somehow drag ourselves out of it and freshen up so that we can do something together.

"Okayyy so shall we watch something today morning. Some series maybe?" he asks me, joining me on the bed after he freshens up.

"Shadow and Bone maybe?" I ask him eagerly as I shift closer to him and he wraps his hand around my waist.

"We just read the book last night. Plus you'll forget that you're sitting next to your boyfriend and start gushing about Kaz and Jesper." he tells as he rolls his eyes playfully.

"It's not my fault that they're amazing" I mumble "Shall we watch something that the both of us like? Superstore maybe?"

"Hmm yeah that sounds nice." he agrees "Can we watch Season 3?"

"Epsiode 13?" we both ask at the same time and burst out into laughter.

He literally has a laugh that could light up the entire world.

"Your favourite scene is up." he tells me and I grin.

"It's so cute na, the fact that they sneak in Manager's room to find the blueprint of the store so that they can go to the games place just because Amy wanted a game's CD......" I start rambling.

".....and then they spend the entire time playing there and after they do, Jonah buys the CD Amy wanted." Ishan continues and I grin at him.

"You're being very cheesy today." I tell him in surprise "Not that I mind it though, I missed you so much."

"I missed you so much too." he tells and kisses me on my forehead.

I let out a happy sigh and a smile graces my face, feeling so thankful that we got these weeks to ourselves. Ever since his cricket career started off at our teenage years, it had been hard for us to meet very frequently like we did as kids. Missing him around was practically an everyday thing, but then I remembered that he was doing what he loved the most and that was enough.

Seeing him on a video call was enough to form a huge smile on my face so being around him sure as hell made my heart burst with happiness.

"I love you." he tells me as he snuggles his head in my shoulder and his heads wrap around my waist.

"I love you too." I tell him, resting my head on his shoulder. I lean in closer to him and place a small peck on his lips.
