Jessica's POV

"I thought you were just being dramatic when you said you'll cuddle with me the entire week.", I giggle as Shreyas tightens his grip around my waist and pulls me closer towards his chest.

"I wasn't, I was losing my mind over there. I love cricket, but playing almost nonstop is exhausting at times you know? I just want to be around my family some times too.", he tells as he buries his head on the crook of my neck.

"I missed you too.", I sigh as I shuffle around the movies on the TV.

"So, what shall we watch?", he murmurs.

"A horror movie maybe?", I ask him.

"That sounds good.", he tells and we put on Conjuring.

We were halfway into the movie and Shreyas had flinched up and down probably half a dozen times.

"Shrey it's just a movie, calm down.", I pat his knee.

"I can't believe I agreed to watch this.", he whines, "we should've gone with some feel-good movie."

"We could watch it after this.", I shrug, "we have all day."

"Mhm, yeah.", he places his chin on my shoulder.

I hear my phone ring and take it to see that it's a call from Abhay. I pause the movie and pick the call

"Jessputthecallonspeakermodeineedhelpfromyouguys.", Abhay rambles fast.

(A/N: I'm sorry if y'all lost brain cells reading this💀)

"Woah wait, calm down.", I tell him, "repeat what you said again."

"Could you put the call on speaker mode I need help from you guys.", he mumbled.

"Of course, what happened?", I ask him as I put the call on hold.

"I want to ask Anu out on a date.", he tells as he takes a shaky breath.

"That's amazing!", Shreyas tells excitedly, "it's about time you asked her out."

"Are you sure?", Abhay asks, "I mean, we've known each other only for a few months. Is it too soon?".

"Look, the both of you know each other well right?", I tell him,"Kash told me that the both of you talk to each other quite frequently."

"Yeah, you're right.", Abhay agrees, "I just don't want to scare her away you know."

"You wouldn't.", Shreyas assures him, "I've known Anu for a while and I can tell that she really likes you. She's liked you even before you've met and you've been nothing but nice to her after you both met. So I don't see why she'd say no."

"See, Shrey and I knew each other only for a couple of months when he asked me out you know. We'd only met a few times because he'd bring Betty and we were friends just for a couple of months.", I reminisce.

"See, it might seem scary now, I get you. I used to get so nervous every time I had to talk to Jess, you know? She was so quiet at first, it was scary. But over the time we gelled along well.", Shreyas tells, "It always takes time for relationships to develop but when it does, it's always worth it."

"I hope it will be.", Abhay sighs, "Thanks guys, I'll let you know what she says."

"Always man.", Shreyas tells him.

"Good luck!", I wish him and cut the call.

"I used to scare you?", I giggle in surprise.

"Please.", Shreyas groans, "do you know how hard it was to get you out of your shell and get along with me."

"You're being too dramatic", I snort, "I was quite nice to you, I don't get all chilled with people that fast you know."

"It's probably cause I was irresistible.", he smirks cockily.

"No, it's because Shresta was a really great friend of mine then. I was obligated to be nice to you because you were her brother.", I explain.

"Mhm yeah?", he tells and starts tickling me.

"Shrey stop.", I burst into laughter as roll over him.

"No way.", he tells as he continues and we get into a tickle fight.

"Wait, wait one minute.", I tell him breathlessly as I hear my phone go ding, "I think I've got a message."

Shubman's POV

"We could've come here some other day." Smriti tells me concernedly,"Are you sure that you're not that tired."

"I'm fine now.", I assured her with a small smile, "I can take rest tomorrow while you're at work."

We take our seats in the restaurant and go through the menu.

"This seems to be so expensive.", she mutters.

"Don't worry about that, I'll be spoiling you a lot now. So you'll have to deal with it Mrs.Gill.", I tease her and her cheeks turn into a tinge of red.

She's so adorable.

During one of our calls together, Abhay ended up calling her Mrs.Gill and then she ended up blushing so much that it kinda just stuck around and I call her that to tease her.

"Shubman! Smriti!", I hear a very familiar voice from the behind and turn towards the place of the sound.

"Ananya.", Smriti tells with a small smile, "how are you?".

"I'm doing great.", Ananya tells her as she pulls her into a hug, "how are you Shubman?".

"Good.", I give her a stiff smile.

How could she even talk to me like that after everything she did to me and Smriti?

I looked at the girls as they spoke, their conversation proceeding from awkward at first to a more relaxed atmosphere.

I hadn't met Ananya after what had happened between us and that made it easier to push things away from my head. And meeting Smriti again made me feel like we could bring back what we had back then.

But seeing Ananya again after that while now makes me feel like I wasn't ready for a new start with Smriti.

I think I might've ruined things again.
