Few weeks later.
Anushka's POV.

"Anu go and sleep for some time na.", Smriti suggests. My eyes were drooping down as I yawned but I had to forced myself not to sleep and continued looking at the book.

"Nahi yaar abhi kaafi books aur hai correct karne ko, aadhe baccho ne kaam pura bhi nahi kiya hai", I groan as I sink into the chair.

"You should've decided to teach kids instead of 10th standard teens. Most of the kids complete their time on work and listen to the teachers, Kashish tells me.

"I used to think ki our teachers were never wrong as a child, mummy unke barein mein kuch bhi galat bolti toh I used to start arguing with her to defend them.", Smriti giggles and continues, "Teenager banne ke baadh toh it became the opposite, I used to talk negative things about them aur mummy unhe defend karti thi."

"Tu na todhi dheer ke liya so ja, you deserve a break.", Kashish tells me, "it's a good thing ki you moved in here, warna tum proper rest nahi lete and tumhari tabiyat kharab hojati."

I raises my hands in mock defeat and goes to sleep.

I go back to the hall after finishing my nap a while later and joined Kashish, who was watching the TV show. sit on the couch and binge watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Smriti sits on the dining table as she was doing some of her office work.

"Ma we spoke about and even tried this earlier.", Smriti groans", I'm not doing this again". Kashish and I look at each other in confusion and raise our eyes at each other.

"Yeah I know I could say no but that's such a waste of time. What's the hurry, I still have so much time.", she whines on the phone.

"Fine. But if this one goes bad I'm not doing it again.", she sighs and cuts the call.

"Kya hua?", I ask her.

"My parents want me to meet another guy, shaadi ke liye.", she groans which makes Kashish and I crack info laughter.

"Is it going to be another family friend?", Kashish asks her with a snort.

"Obviously. I have a feeling it might be Vinay this time and-", Smriti starts.

"He's Shubman's friend so it's awkward as hell.", I completed her sentence.

"Haan", she whines.

"Chalo we never know, maybe he was also persuaded into doing this. He might tell no too.", Kashish consoles her.

"And you don't hesitate to say no too. Just like the previous time, boldo if you feel so. This is about your future.", I tell her.

"Yeah, you guys are right.", she tells us with a small smile.

"We always are.", Kashish tells her with a grin and she rolls her eyes in response.

"Accha any idea when Ishan will call us today?", I ask them, refering to the video call we all have together with Ishan once in a while.

"Kash is the only one who can answer that.", Smriti tells her and she laughs.

"Kuch bhi yaar, tumlog hume harr baat par chidate ho, it makes no sense.", Kashish whines.

"Kash you guys talk each other almost every night, he doesn't do that with anyone.", Smriti tells her.

"He talks to you guys too na, raat mein.", Kashish tries to defend herself.

"That's like once in a weeks with us. Tujhe toh special privilege hai.", I grin at her.

"Anu yaar.", she groans as her cheeks flush. "Waise bhi he hasn't spoken to me in a few days.", she continues gloomily.

"He's probably busy with the finals.", I try to comfort her.

"Yeah your not-so-secret daily talk sessions will be back in no time okay?", Smriti grins at her, making her blush again.

And she says she doesn't like him, I think as I roll my eyes.

Kashish's POV

I groan as I adjust my hair to the other side. God I look horrible.

"Kash chill yaar.", Anushka chuckles at me.

"Ishan has literally seen you with messy hair and a sleepy face.", Smriti joins her.

"I'm not doing this for him yaar, chup karo tum dono.", I groan.

Aren't you though, a voice in my head asks.

Shut up, I reply.

"Heyyyy", I hear Ishan's voice from the laptop.

"Hiiii.", Anushka replies as I join them on the couch.

"Kaise ho tum log?", he asks us.

"We're good, especially Smu. She is having a great time.", I grin.

"Yaar kuch bhi.", Smriti groans.

"Kyun kya hua?", Ishan asks with a chortle.

"Mom and Dad want me to meet another guy two weeks later, shaadi ke liye.", she groans.

"It'll just be one of your dad's family friend ka beta, bas na boldo.",he shrugs.

"Well, that's the plan.", she sighs, "Finals ke liye practice kaisa chal raha hai?"

"Too busy, thak gaya hoon.", he groans.

"You really should stop over working yourself Ishan.", I tell him with a tone of concern.

"I will be, don't worry. Abhi bas do din hi toh hain, I'll be free after that.", he tells me with a small smile.

"Accha accha suno, aaj kuch hua.", Ishan starts excitedly.

"You played another prank on someone today didn't you?", Smriti asks him, absolutely exasperated.

"Obviously.", he tells and continues, "Accha so, Rahul ko Oreos bohut pasandh hai na? So Hardik and I, we bought this packet of Oreos and-", he cracks up into a bout of laughter.

"And?", I ask him curiously.

"Humne Oreo ke cream ko mayonnaise de replace kardiya.", he continues laughing and I join him.

"I swear to god, tum bhi na.", Smriti chuckles as she shakes her head. We'd been the victims of Ishan's pranks before and let's just say, Smriti wasn't really a fan of it.

"I mean, it's okay unless you teach them to Sammy and Agasthya.", Anushka tells him.

"Obviously I wouldn't do that yaar.", he tells.

"Kuch bhi. Jab bhi kuch pagalpanti karte ho, they learn it.", I say breathlessly, "Ritika and Natasa bhabhi don't seem to happy about it."

"I'm going to let that pass because you share your pizza only with me.", he tells me and my cheeks flush into a bit of red colour.

I mean he wasn't lying, he is the only person I share my pizza with.

Smriti and Anushka give each other a knowing smile, as usual.

"Chalo I gotta go sleep, practice session ke liye kal subha jaldi utna padega.", he tells me and my smile turns into a small frown.

I really love talking to him, I think.

Oh the hell no-
What if Anu and Smu weren't wrong?

I think I like Ishan Kishan.
