Chapter 53

Jungkook stood at his mini bar, the amber liquid swirling in his glass. He took a long sip, the fiery liquid burning a trail down his throat.

Seokjin's words echoed in his mind, each one a barb piercing his heart. "You betrayed me." "I will never forgive you." They were like a relentless chorus, playing over and over again.

A surge of rage coursed through Jungkook's veins. He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. He couldn't believe Seokjin had the audacity to say those things. After everything they had been through, after all the love they had shared, Seokjin was throwing it all away.

Jungkook slammed his glass down on the counter, the glass shattering into a million pieces. The sound was like a gunshot, echoing through the silent room.

Jungkook was consumed by fury. He couldn't think straight, couldn't see anything but red. He wanted to lash out, to hurt someone, to make the pain go away.

Furthermore, he grabbed another glass and filled it with whiskey. Additionally, he downed it in one gulp, the liquor burning his throat. Likewise, he needed more. He needed to feel numb, to forget.

Jungkook stumbled towards the liquor cabinet, his vision blurred. He grabbed a bottle of vodka and raised it to his lips.

But then, he paused. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, his eyes bloodshot, his face twisted with anger. He didn't recognize the man staring back at him.

Jungkook lowered the bottle, his rage slowly subsiding. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

He knew that Seokjin was right. Not only that, but he had betrayed him. Likewise, he had broken his heart. And he couldn't blame Seokjin for hating him because of the time that Seokjin fell in love with him. He treated those loves as trash, like how he treated Seokjin like trash.

But Jungkook also knew that he loved Seokjin. He loved him more than anything in the world. And he would do anything to win him back.

Jungkook slowly opened the door, his heart pounding in his chest. He crept into the room, his eyes scanning the darkness.

There, on the bed, lay Seokjin, fast asleep. His face was serene, his lips slightly parted, his breathing soft and even.

Jungkook felt a surge of longing. He wanted to reach out and touch Seokjin, to feel his soft skin against his own. He wanted to kiss those lips, to taste the sweetness of his mouth.

But he knew he couldn't. Not yet. He didn't want to wake Seokjin, and didn't want to scare him.

So he just stood there, watching Seokjin sleep, his heart aching with love.

Hoseok sighed as he stood behind the counter of his shop, his hands clenched into fists. He knew he had to tell Jung-eon the truth about Seokjin's whereabouts, but he was terrified of how Jung-eon would react.

Jung-eon had always had a possessive streak, and Hoseok knew that he would be furious if he found out that Seokjin had left without telling him. But Hoseok also knew that he couldn't keep lying to Jung-eon. It was only a matter of time before he found out the truth, and when he did, it would be much worse.

Meanwhile,

Hoseok got worried that Seokjin was not at home for almost 3 days.

Then a deep voice called him.

"Hoseokie?"

Hoseok turned to face the voice, his heart pounding in his chest. There, standing in the doorway, was Taehyung, his former crush and Jungkook's best friend.

Taehyung looked as surprised to see Hoseok as Hoseok was to see him. They hadn't seen each other in years, not since Taehyung had moved away to study abroad.

"Taehyung?" Hoseok asked, his voice still trembling from his conversation with Jung-eon.

"Hoseok!" Taehyung exclaimed, a smile spreading across his face. "It's been too long."

They moved towards each other, their hands outstretched. As their hands met, a spark of electricity ran between them, the same spark that Hoseok had felt all those years ago.

"What are you doing here?" Hoseok asked, pulling his hand away.

"Jungkook hired me as an architect for the casino," Taehyung said. "So, how are you and Seokjin?"

"Oh," Hoseok said, his voice dropping. "We both alright, at least business is good."

"That's good," Taehyung said. "I didn't know you and Seokjin together."

"It's okay," Hoseok said. "You know what best friends are for."

They fell silent for a moment, their eyes locked. Hoseok felt the same flutter in his stomach that he had felt all those years ago.

"I've missed you, Hoseok," Taehyung said, breaking the silence.

"I've missed you too, Taehyung," Hoseok said.

They stood there for a moment, lost in each other's eyes. Then, Taehyung leaned in and kissed Hoseok.

Hoseok kissed him back, the taste of Taehyung's lips familiar and comforting. It was like no time had passed at all.

They pulled away, breathless.

"I think I'm going to stay for a while," Taehyung giggles.

Hoseok smiled. "I'd like that," he said. "I'd like that a lot."

Hoseok placed a steaming mug of hot chocolate in front of Taehyung, the aroma of rich, melted chocolate filling the air. Taehyung's eyes lit up, a warm smile spreading across his face. Hoseok knew that Taehyung had always preferred sweet drinks over bitter ones, and he couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at the sight of his friend's genuine pleasure.

"You always know how to make me feel better, Hoseok," Taehyung said, taking a sip of the hot chocolate and savoring the creamy sweetness.

Hoseok chuckled, his heart fluttering with affection for Taehyung. "I just know what you like," he replied.

Taehyung's fingers brushed against Hoseok's hand, sending a jolt of electricity through his body. Hoseok's heart skipped a beat, and he could feel the warmth of Taehyung's touch radiating through his skin.

Taehyung's eyes met Hoseok's, and there was an unspoken understanding between them. They both remembered the kiss that had happened earlier, the way their lips had met in a moment of pure connection.

Taehyung's hand moved closer, gently cupping Hoseok's face. He leaned in slowly, his eyes locked on Hoseok's. Hoseok's breath caught in his throat, and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest.

Their lips met, and the kiss was just as electric as the first one. It was a kiss full of longing, of passion, of unspoken desire.

Hoseok closed his eyes, surrendering to the feeling of Taehyung's lips against his own. The world around them faded away, and all that mattered was the two of them, lost in each other's embrace.

The kiss ended all too soon, but the memory of it would stay with them forever. Hoseok opened his eyes, his gaze still locked with Taehyung's. A smile spread across his face, and he knew that he had found something special in Taehyung.
