Chapter 46
As Seokjin cradled the phone, a smile spread across his face. His parents were coming to visit him in the Philippines, and he couldn't contain his excitement. He had missed them dearly, especially after the recent turmoil in his life.
The thought of their visit brought a wave of warmth and comfort to Seokjin's heart. Their presence would be a beacon of stability and love amidst the uncertainty he was facing. He eagerly awaited their arrival, longing for their warm hugs and the familiar sound of their voices.Seokjin immediately began making preparations for their visit, ensuring that everything was perfect for their arrival. He planned itineraries for sightseeing excursions, arranged for their favorite meals, and even prepared a special room for them in his home.
He couldn't wait to share the beauty of the Philippines with his parents, to introduce them to his life here, and to show them the happiness he had found with Hoseok and Jung-eon. Likewise, he envisioned their faces filled with delight as they explored the vibrant streets, tasted the exotic cuisine, and experienced the warmth of the Filipino people.
As the day of their arrival approached, Seokjin's excitement grew. He eagerly checked the flight information, anticipating the moment when he would finally see his parents again. The anticipation was almost unbearable, a mix of joy and nervousness.
Finally, the day arrived. Seokjin made his way to the airport, his heart pounding with anticipation. He scanned the crowd, searching for their familiar faces. And then, he saw them – his parents, standing tall and proud, their smiles radiating warmth and love.
Seokjin rushed towards them, a wave of emotion washing over him. He embraced them tightly, tears of joy welling up in his eyes. The years of separation melted away, replaced by the familiar bond that had always existed between them.
Their reunion was filled with laughter, tears, and heartfelt conversations. Seokjin shared stories of his life in the Philippines, introducing them to Hoseok and Jung-eon, and showcasing the beauty of his adopted home. His parents listened intently, their eyes filled with pride and affection.
The days that followed were a whirlwind of activities and shared experiences. Seokjin took his parents on sightseeing tours, introduced them to Filipino culture, and savored delicious meals together. Their laughter echoed through the streets, their joy infectious, and their love for one another palpable.
Seokjin's heart swelled with gratitude for the opportunity to have his parents back in his life. Their presence was a reminder of his roots, of the unconditional love and support that had always been there for him. Their visit was a much-needed respite from the challenges he faced, a reaffirmation of the strength and resilience he possessed.
As the time came for their departure, Seokjin felt a pang of sadness. But he knew that their bond remained unbreakable, their love a constant presence in his life. He bid them farewell with a promise to visit them soon, his heart filled with the warmth of their love and the memories they had created together.
Seokjin was so happy to see his parents after 5 years. He hugged them tightly and told them how much he missed them. His parents were also delighted to see him and told him how proud they were of him. Seokjin then introduced Jung-eon to his grandparents. They were both immediately smitten with her and couldn't stop talking about how cute she was.
Seokjin's parents and grandparents were all very happy to have Jung-eon in their lives. They loved her bubbly personality and her infectious laugh. They promised to spend as much time as possible with her and to spoil her rotten.
Jisoo was overjoyed to see Seokjin after five years, but she couldn't shake off her worry about his well-being. She pulled Seokjin aside for a private conversation to discuss Jungkook. Jungkook had been relentlessly trying to track down Seokjin's whereabouts, but his efforts had been futile. Jisoo expressed her concern that Jungkook would eventually become a mafia kingpin if his pursuit of Seokjin continued unabated.
Seokjin reassured Jisoo that he would take the necessary precautions to protect himself from Jungkook. He also acknowledged that Jungkook's obsession with finding him was a serious concern, but he believed that Jungkook would eventually tire of his fruitless search. Seokjin urged Jisoo not to worry about him and to focus on enjoying their reunion.
Despite Seokjin's reassuring words, Jisoo couldn't help but feel uneasy about the future. She knew that Jungkook was a dangerous man, and she feared that his relentless pursuit of Seokjin would eventually lead to tragic consequences. She could only hope that Seokjin was right and that Jungkook would eventually give up his search.
Seokjin's calming words did little to ease Jisoo's worry. She knew her son was a strong and capable young man, but she also knew the dangers he faced. The thought of him living in the same apartment as Hoseok, a man she barely knew, only added to her anxiety.
"Seokjin," Jisoo said hesitantly, "are you sure this is a good idea? Living with Hoseok, I mean. I know, Hoseok was your childhood friend until now, but, I worry about you being safe."
Seokjin smiled reassuringly. "I know, Mom, but I promise you that I'll be careful. Hoseok is a good friend, and he's promised to look after me. Besides, it's not like we'll be alone all the time. Jung-eon will be there too, and she's always been a good judge of character."
Jisoo sighed, knowing that she couldn't argue with Seokjin's decision. She trusted her son to make the right choices, even if she didn't always agree with them. "Alright, Seokjin," she said, ", but please be careful. And call me if you need anything, no matter how small."
Seokjin hugged his mother tightly. "Thank you, Mom," he whispered. "I love you."
Jisoo smiled back at her son. "I love you too, Seokjin. Always remember that."Seokjin's heart swelled with warmth as he watched his father playfully interact with Jung-eon. The carefree laughter that echoed through the room was a stark contrast to the strained silence that had filled their home for so long. Seokjin couldn't help but think that Jung-eon's infectious joy was the medicine his father needed to heal from the wounds of his past.
As Jung-eon's giggles filled the air, Seokjin noticed a subtle shift in his father's demeanor. The lines of worry that had etched themselves onto his face were slowly fading, replaced by a newfound serenity. It was as if Jung-eon's presence had lifted a heavy burden from his shoulders, allowing him to breathe freely again.
Seokjin felt a surge of gratitude for Jung-eon. He knew that his father had been carrying the pain of his ex-love for far too long. Seeing him rediscover a sense of happiness and lightness filled Seokjin with hope.
At that moment, Seokjin realized that Jung-eon was more than just a companion; he was a healer, had the power to mend broken hearts and bring joy back into people's lives. And for that, Seokjin would be forever grateful.
"I'm happy that dad, already move on to his life." Seokjin smile and proud to his father.
