Chapter 36
Seokjin stood at the crossroads, his heart heavy with the weight of his decision. He had loved his husband, Jungkook, with all his heart, but Jungkook had betrayed him, shattering the foundation of their trust and love. Now, Seokjin was pregnant with Jungkook's child, a symbol of their love that had now turned into a painful reminder of his betrayal.
On one hand, Seokjin was drawn to the idea of going back to Jungkook. He missed the warmth of Jungkook's embrace, the sound of his laughter, the comfort of his presence. He yearned for the family they had once been, even if it was a family built on a shaky foundation of lies and deceit.
But on the other hand, Seokjin couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal that gnawed at him. He couldn't forget the pain he had felt when he discovered Jungkook's infidelity, the way it had broken his heart into a thousand pieces. He didn't know if he could ever forgive Jungkook, let alone forget what he had done.
And then there was the child inside of him, a new life growing within him, a symbol of hope and possibility. Seokjin couldn't deny the love he felt for his child, a love that was pure and unconditional. He knew that bringing a child into the world would be a challenge, but he also knew that it would be a gift, a chance to start anew.
Seokjin closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, as he weighed his options. He knew that there was no easy answer, no right or wrong decision. Ultimately, the choice was his, and his alone. After a long moment of reflection, Seokjin opened his eyes, his heart filled with a newfound determination. He decided that he would not let Jungkook's betrayal define him. He would not let it dictate his future or the future of his child. Furthermore, he would move forward, one step at a time, creating a new life for himself and his child, a life built on love, trust, and acceptance. And so, Seokjin turned away from the past, his heart filled with hope for the future. He knew that the road ahead would not be easy, but he was no longer afraid. He had found his strength, his resilience, and his courage. Not only that, but he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that he had the love of his child to guide him.
Hoseok approached Seokjin, his face etched with concern. "Seokjin, I know, life is cruel, but we need to hold on. Aside, we need to think about the little bean inside of you," he said softly, placing a reassuring hand on Seokjin's shoulder. "How are you holding up?"
Seokjin's eyes welled up with tears. "I don't know," he confessed. "I'm just so confused and hurt. I loved Jungkook so much, and he just betrayed me. I thought, after all we've been through―"Hoseok nodded understandingly. "I know it's hard, Seokjin. But you're not alone. I'm here for you, no matter what you decide to do."
Seokjin wiped away his tears and looked at Hoseok gratefully. "Thank you, Hoseok. I appreciate it."
"So, what are you going to do?" Hoseok asked gently.
Seokjin sighed. "I don't know yet. I need some time to think."
"Of course," Hoseok said. "Take all the time you need. But just know that I'm here for you, every step of the way."
Seokjin smiled weakly. "Thank you, Hoseok. That means a lot to me."
Hoseok returned the smile warmly. "You're welcome, Seokjin. Now, let's get you something to eat. You look like you could use some fuel. How about lobster?"
Seokjin happily nodded and let Hoseok lead him away. As they walked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. He was so grateful to have Hoseok in his life, a true friend who would always be there for him, no matter what.
Meanwhile,
Jungkook sat at the bar, nursing a drink, his face etched with worry. He hadn't seen Seokjin in a week, and he was starting to get scared.
"I don't know what to do," he sighed to his best friend, Taehyung, who sat beside him. "I've tried calling him, texting him, but he's not answering. I've even been to his house, but there's no sign of him."
Taehyung patted Jungkook's shoulder reassuringly. "I know it's tough, Jungkook, but don't panic. Seokjin is probably just taking some time for himself. He's been through a lot lately, and he needs some space to process everything."
"But it's been a whole week," Jungkook protested. "I'm starting to worry that something bad happened to him."
"I understand your worry," Taehyung said. "But try to stay calm. Seokjin is a strong guy. He'll be okay."
Jungkook nodded, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of dread in his stomach. He knew Taehyung was right, but he couldn't help but worry about Seokjin.
"I just miss him so much," he said, his voice cracking. "I don't know what to do without him."Taehyung put his arm around Jungkook and pulled him into a hug. "I know, Jungkook. But he'll come back. He always does."
Jungkook clung to Taehyung, drawing comfort from his friend's warmth. He knew that Taehyung was right, but he couldn't help but fear the worst. In the middle of the night.
Seokjin stood on the balcony of his hotel room, gazing up at the moon. Its soft, silvery light cast an ethereal glow over the cityscape below, but it couldn't dispel the darkness that clouded Seokjin's heart.
He had made his decision. He was leaving the country, leaving Jungkook behind. The thought of leaving Jungkook behind was excruciating. Seokjin loved him with all his heart, but he couldn't bear to stay in a place that was filled with so many painful memories.Jungkook had betrayed him, shattered his trust, and broken his heart. The pain was still raw, and Seokjin knew that he needed time to heal.
He also knew that he couldn't stay in Korea and pretend that everything was okay. He would always be reminded of Jungkook's infidelity, and every time he saw him, the pain would come rushing back.
So, Seokjin had decided to leave. He would start a new life in a new country, where he could put the past behind him and start fresh. But as he stood there, gazing up at the moon, Seokjin couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. He knew that, he would miss Jungkook terribly. He would miss his laugh, his bunny smile, his muscular touch.
But he also knew that he had to do this for himself. He had to put his happiness first. With a heavy heart Seokjin turned away from the window and began packing his bags. He knew, that he was making the right decision, but it didn't make it any easier.
"Goodbye, Jungkookie, the person. I love the most,"
