Chapter 33

As Jungkook drove to the predetermined meeting spot, a knot of anxiety tightened in his stomach. It had been a week since his conversation with Jimin, and the weight of his ex-boyfriend's words still hung heavy in his heart. Jimin's plea for a second chance had stirred up a whirlwind of emotions within Jungkook, a mixture of longing, regret, and uncertainty.

Despite his inner turmoil, Jungkook felt compelled to meet Jimin. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to their conversation than Jimin had let on. The desperation in his voice, the urgency in his request, hinted at something deeper, something that Jungkook couldn't ignore.

As he pulled up to the dimly lit cafe, Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest. Taking a deep breath, he stepped out of his car and entered the establishment. His eyes scanned the room, searching for Jimin's familiar face.

Spotting Jimin seated in a corner booth, Jungkook approached cautiously. Jimin's eyes lit up as he saw Jungkook, a hint of relief flickering across his face.

"Jungkook," Jimin greeted, his voice laced with emotion.
Jungkook nodded, taking a seat opposite Jimin. The silence that followed was thick with tension, each man grappling with their own thoughts and emotions.
Finally, Jimin broke the silence. "I'm glad you came," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
Jungkook looked into Jimin's eyes, his gaze searching for the truth.

"Why did you ask me to meet?" he asked, his voice direct.

Jimin hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting around the cafe as if seeking an escape. Then, taking a deep breath, he began to speak.
His words were a torrent of emotions, a confession laced with pain and regret. He spoke of the mistakes they had made, the misunderstandings that had driven them apart, and the love that had never truly faded.
Jungkook listened intently, his heart swaying with Jimin's every word. He couldn't deny the truth in Jimin's words, the echo of the love they had once shared.

As Jimin finished his confession, a heavy silence descended upon them. Jungkook felt a wave of overwhelming emotions wash over him – a mix of longing, guilt, and a glimmer of hope.

He reached out and took Jimin's hand, their touch sending a jolt of electricity through their bodies. Their eyes met, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still.

Unbeknownst to them, a pair of watchful eyes observed their reunion from a hidden corner of the cafe. A sinister smile spread across the eavesdropper's face as he witnessed the rekindling of their love.

This meeting was not a chance encounter; it was a carefully orchestrated trap, designed to tear Jungkook and Seokjin apart. The manipulator, driven by a twisted sense of vengeance, had set in motion a chain of events that would have devastating consequences for the two lovers.
As Jungkook and Jimin lost themselves in their rekindled connection, they were blissfully unaware of the darkness lurking in the shadows, waiting to ensnare them in its web of deceit and destruction.

As Seokjin sat in his dimly lit apartment, his mind was a whirlwind of emotions. The anonymous message he had received, the one that claimed Jungkook and Jimin were seeing each other, had thrown his world into chaos.

He had tried to ignore the message, to convince himself it was a malicious prank, but the seed of doubt had been planted. He couldn't shake the image of Jungkook and Jimin together, their laughter intertwining, their eyes locked in a gaze that spoke of a love Seokjin had thought was his alone.

The thought of Jungkook betraying him, after all they had been through, was unbearable. His heart ached with a pain he had never known before, a pain so deep it threatened to consume him entirely.

In a desperate attempt to find out the truth, Seokjin decided to contact the anonymous sender. He sent a message, begging for any information, any proof that could confirm or deny his worst fears.

The response came almost immediately, a link to a video. Seokjin's heart pounded in his chest as he clicked on the link, his breath catching in his throat as the video began to play.

There, on his screen, was Jungkook, his arm wrapped around Jimin's waist, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of a streetlamp. They were laughing, their voices blending into a melody that seemed to mock Seokjin's pain.

The video was short, but the images burned into Seokjin's mind, leaving scars that would never fully heal. He watched it over and over again, each viewing fueling the fire of anger and jealousy that raged within him.

Consumed by his emotions, Seokjin decided to confront Jungkook. He stormed out of his apartment, his determination fueled by the pain and betrayal he felt.

He found Jungkook at their usual spot by the river, the place where they had shared countless moments of love and laughter, this place making Seokjin cry out as his memory is getting back. But now, the memories seemed tainted, poisoned by the truth Seokjin had just discovered.

As the latter approached his husband, his eyes burned with a mix of anger and hurt. His voice shook with emotion as he confronted Jungkook, his words echoing through the stillness of the night.

"How could you?" Seokjin's voice was barely a whisper, his heart pounding in his chest. "I thought we were meant to be together."
Jungkook, caught off guard by Seokjin's sudden outburst, tried to defend himself, but his words fell on deaf ears.

"Seokjin, you don't understand," Jungkook pleaded, his voice laced with desperation.

"I understand enough!" Seokjin shouted, his anger rising. "I saw the video, Jungkook. I saw you with Jimin." His tears are starting to come out despite Seokjin wanting to be brave enough in front of his husband.

Jungkook's face paled, his eyes widening in shock. He had thought his secret was safe, but the truth had found its way out, threatening to tear their relationship apart.

"It's not what you think," Jungkook stammered, trying to explain. "I was just trying to talk to Jimin."

"Talk?" Seokjin scoffed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You were more than talking, Jungkook. You were laughing, you were touching, you were looking at him with the same love you used to look at me."

Jungkook's heart sank. He knew that there was no denying the truth. He had fallen back into old patterns, seeking solace in Jimin's familiar presence. But he never meant to hurt Seokjin.

"I'm sorry, Seokjin," Jungkook whispered, his voice filled with regret. "I never meant to betray you."

But Seokjin's anger was too strong to be quelled by apologies. He felt a surge of rage, a primal instinct to lash out at the man who had caused him so much pain.
In a moment of blind fury, Seokjin raised his hand and slapped Jungkook across the face. The sound reverberated through the air, a sharp crack that silenced their shouts and hung heavy in the stillness.

Jungkook recoiled, his eyes burning with a mix of anger and hurt. He couldn't believe Seokjin would resort to violence, a stark contrast to the gentle and loving man he had once known. He knows him as a preserved man.
