Chapter 32
Jungkook's phone buzzed, interrupting his peaceful evening at home. Jungkook asked Jimin to call him at Korean Time in the evening. Jimin agreed.
He glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Jimin, his ex-boyfriend from the university. A wave of mixed emotions washed over him as he hesitated before answering the call.
"Hello?" Jungkook's voice was laced with a hint of uncertainty.
"Jungkook," Jimin's voice was soft and hesitant, carrying a tinge of nostalgia.
"Jimin?" Jungkook's surprise was evident in his tone.
"I know this is out of the blue," Jimin continued, "but I've been thinking about us a lot lately."
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat.
He had always held a special place in his heart for Jimin, despite their breakup. Their relationship had been intense and passionate, but ultimately, they had decided to go their separate ways.
"I miss you," Jimin confessed, his voice trembling with emotion.
Jungkook felt a pang of longing. He missed Jimin's infectious laughter, his warm embrace, and the way he made him feel like he was the only person in the world. That is the reason, he respected him despite being a playboy.
"I miss you too, Jimin," Jungkook admitted, his voice barely a whisper.
They fell into a comfortable silence, each lost in their thoughts, replaying memories of their past love.
"I know things didn't work out the way we wanted," Jimin broke the silence, "but I can't help but wonder if we made a mistake."
Jungkook's mind raced, trying to sort through his conflicting emotions. He still loved Jimin, but he was also afraid of getting hurt again.
"I don't know, Jimin," Jungkook sighed, his voice heavy with hesitation.
"Please give me another chance. I promise, I won't run away." Jimin pleaded, his voice filled with desperation.
Jungkook's heart ached for Jimin, but he knew he couldn't make a decision without careful consideration. He needed time to reflect on their past and weigh the risks and rewards of rekindling their relationship.
"I need some time to think," Jungkook finally said, his voice laced with uncertainty.
"Of course," Jimin replied, understanding in his tone. "Just know that I'm here if you want to talk."
They ended the call, both of them lost in their thoughts and emotions. Jungkook knew that this was not the end of their conversation, and that he would have to make a difficult decision soon.
As he lay in bed that night, Jungkook couldn't shake the feeling that their paths were destined to cross again. Their love had been too strong, too passionate to simply fade away. But was it enough to overcome the pain of the past and forge a new future together? Only time would tell.
As Jungkook gazed at Seokjin's serene face, a whirlwind of emotions swirled within him. A tender love for the man slumbering peacefully beside him mingled with a profound sense of regret and longing.
The image of Seokjin, his face relaxed in slumber, stirred a deep well of affection within Jungkook. He recalled their shared moments of joy, laughter, and intimacy, moments that had painted their lives with vibrant colors.
Yet, amidst the warmth of these memories, a shadow of regret loomed large. They had been so close, their bond seemingly unbreakable, but fate had conspired to tear them apart. The pain of their separation still lingered, a constant reminder of the love they had lost.
As Jungkook watched Seokjin's peaceful slumber, his heart ached with longing. He yearned to reach out, to touch the man he loved, to feel his warmth against his own. But he held back, restrained by the weight of their past and the uncertainty of their future.
The heaviness of his emotions pressed upon Jungkook, threatening to overwhelm him. He felt a surge of frustration, anger at himself for allowing their love to slip away, anger at the circumstances that had forced them apart.
But amidst this turmoil of emotions, a spark of hope flickered. Jungkook couldn't deny the love he still held for Seokjin, a love that had endured despite the passage of time and the trials they had faced.
As he watched Seokjin sleep, Jungkook made a silent vow to himself. He would not let their love fade away, not without a fight. He would find a way to bridge the chasm between them, to rekindle the flame that had once burned so brightly.
With a newfound determination, Jungkook gently kissed Seokjin's forehead, a promise whispered in the stillness of the night. He would find a way to mend their broken hearts, to reclaim the love they had lost.
As the first rays of morning light filtered through the bedroom window, Seokjin stirred from his sleep. He felt a warm hand resting gently on his shoulder and turned to see Jungkook lying beside him.
Jungkook's eyes were closed, his breathing soft and even. Seokjin couldn't help but smile as he watched the man he loved sleep so peacefully.
Seokjin reached out and caressed Jungkook's cheek, his touch light and tender. Jungkook stirred slightly, his eyelids fluttering open.
"Morning," Seokjin murmured, his voice still laced with sleep.
"Good morning," Jungkook replied, his voice raspy from sleep.
Seokjin noticed that Jungkook was unusually quiet. He usually greeted the day with a cheerful smile and a burst of energy, but today, he seemed subdued.
Seokjin sat up in bed and turned to face Jungkook, his brow furrowed with concern. "Is everything okay?" he asked.
Jungkook hesitated for a moment before meeting Seokjin's gaze.
"I'm just thinking about us," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
Seokjin's heart skipped a beat. He knew that Jungkook had been struggling with his feelings lately, but he didn't expect him to bring it up so suddenly.
"What about us?" Seokjin asked, his voice gentle.
Jungkook sighed, his shoulders slumping. "I don't know," he admitted, his voice laced with uncertainty. "I love you, Seokjin, but I'm still afraid of getting hurt."
Seokjin's heart ached for Jungkook. Not much knew that their have past pain had left scars, scars that would take time to heal.
"I understand," Seokjin said softly, reaching out to take Jungkook's hand. "I'm afraid too, but I don't want to live without you."
Jungkook looked into Seokjin's eyes, his gaze filled with a mix of fear and hope. "What do we do now?" he asked.
Seokjin smiled, his eyes shining with determination. "We take it one day at a time," he said. "We face our fears together, and we never give up on each other."
Jungkook nodded, a glimmer of hope flickering in his eyes. He squeezed Seokjin's hand tightly, their bond strengthening with each passing moment.
As the morning sun continued to paint the room with warm hues, Seokjin and Jungkook lay in each other's arms, their hearts intertwined, their spirits renewed. They knew that the path ahead would not be easy, but they were determined to face it together, their love guiding them through the darkness.
As their thoughts turned to their upcoming baby, a wave of excitement washed over them. They couldn't wait to meet their little one, to hold them in their arms, and to shower them with love.
Seokjin gently placed his hand on his swollen belly, feeling the fluttering kicks of their baby. "I can't wait to be a dad," Jungkook whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
Seokjin smiled, tears welling up in his eyes. "I can't wait to be a mom," he replied, his voice trembling with joy.
They held each other close, their hearts overflowing with love for each other and for the child they were about to bring into the world. They knew that their lives would never be the same again, but they were ready for the challenges and joys that lay ahead
