Mei-Lin threw her bag on the sofa and looked at the clock on the wall above her bedroom door. 6:30, half an hour before Jungkook gets home. She smiled and walked over to the fridge, pulling out a bottle of water, then headed for the bedroom. His hint from today crossed her mind like the most distracting tune she had ever heard and during the lectures she had heard or recorded almost nothing, but who cared? She had this gorgeous, freaky, weird and addictive man to think about.
No matter how she thought about it, after these almost three weeks, everything she knew about Jungkook led her to just one thought. There was no way a man like him wasn't just a figment of her imagination. There simply couldn't be such a confident man who knows what he wants, what he's doing, and treats the woman next to him as if she were a gem and as if she were the only one in the world who deserved his attention. To listen to her when she talks and remember every word said, shared preference or taste and then prove that he remembers, like Jungkook today with the chicken salad and extra sauce.
And then, this tenderness, and yet he is so strong, the difference in their heights was half a head, but she hid behind his broad shoulders like behind a massive wall that protected her in the clubs from the jostling of people or prying eyes, those muscular veined hands that seemed so huge compared to her small hands, but despite their rough appearance, they could touch her so gently, as if the sighs of butterfly wings passed over her skin.
And his words, which sounded like some Greek god, with all his arrogance and magnificence, explaining to a mere mortal how he would possess her, but at the same time his voice, whispering in her ear, was so sexy and passionate that it made her insides burn in the sight of desire and excitement. And that obsessive way when she was with him, his arms around her waist, the warning glances he kept throwing at other men, as if he was telling them "You want to take her, try mate, but I don't answer if there's nothing left afterwards to be buried by you", and he looked at her as if she were a kitten that only needed tenderness and he would hurt her if he looked at her in any other way.
And then, after all of that, there was that Jungkook, with the mocking grin, who would fight in the bar like it was the most natural thing in the world and come back to her like he'd won a boxing trophy, or rather, she was his prize and kissed her as if his tongue was making sure that while he was dealing out fists, someone hadn't stolen her soul and she was still there, trembling and waiting for him and no one else.
And the next moment, he was the boy next door again, taking her for walks with his dog, sitting in the park and pressed against each other on some bench with his divine lips on hers and his hands on her body, showing the world, that she cannot belong to another without really caring if and who is looking at them. And then along came Jungkook the biker, a lover of high speeds, forcing her to hold on to him for dear life, making her feel the joy of adrenaline and then laughing with her, showing that adorable bunny smile that made her body tingle with a tickling sensation.
Jungkook was a man who made you wake up in the morning with a smile, wondering which version of him you would meet today. But whatever it was, his version always had a dominant tenderness that was directed solely at her. And it was like poison in her veins, constantly circulating and feeding, increasing and multiplying, intensifying her feelings for him, until she was just choking on her need to feel him next to her.
"This man is going to drive me crazy" Mei-Lin sighed and wrapped herself in the soft huge towel as she exited the bathroom. She slipped on one of Jungkook's t-shirts that she had washed with her clothes, smiling at the pile of his clothes in her closet, and slipped into a pair of shorts, sitting in front of the large mirror on her dressing table to dry her hair. Ever since she was with Jungkook, the smile just refused to leave her face and the only culprit for it was due to arrive in less than fifteen minutes.
While May-Lin was combing her hair, the doorbell rang and she turned off the hair dryer, already knowing who it was. With a big smile, she looked at herself in the mirror, left the hair dryer and the brush, and trying to give her half-dry hair a look with her fingers, she walked to the door. "Mei-Mei, did you miss me?" Mei-Lin blinked and before she could catch her breath, a hand closed around her throat and pushed her back into her apartment. "Let go of...me Chen" she hissed and clutched at his wrist, trying to unlock the fingers around her neck.
"Oh never Mei-Mei, I've come so far, why should I let you go now that I've found you again?" Chen pushed her further and further back, her back hitting the wall opposite the front door, at least four meters from her, and his fingers dug into her flesh mercilessly, blocking the way for her air to go out or in. Her eyes were swimming with tears and her mouth was opening and closing in an attempt to take in the merest breath of air she could get her hands on.
"Smile Mei-Mei, aren't you glad to see me?" Mei-Lin tried to shake her head, his body pressed against her and she suddenly lost her footing. Chen was almost as tall as Jungkook and strong, stronger than she remembered. "Tell me Mei-Mei, I heard a male voice on your phone recently" his lips brushed her cheek and her body went numb, ending any attempt at struggle. "Tell me you didn't let another man touch something that belonged to me, Mei-Mei, because that would make me mad, and you don't want to make me mad, do you?" his hand caressed the cheek that his lips had touched and then the slap almost blurred her vision, which was already squinting from the lack of air.
"Did you let him touch you, Mei-Mei?" Chen's voice was gentle, quiet, but Mei-Lin knew him, he did not possess qualities like tenderness. His fingers tightened around her throat and a semblance of a soft smile appeared on his lips. "You're not, are you, my Mei-Mei knows what would happen to her if she allowed it, especially knowing that I'm going to punish her for running away and acting towards me these past months?" a lunatic's look flashed in his eyes. Mei-Lin was quickly running out of strength, her limbs starting to feel that tingling sensation she knew so well and she waited for her chest to tighten and her stomach to knot in order to take in what was next.
His fist dug into her stomach and stayed there, squeezing the area sooner than her body could prepare and she only managed to whimper. A bark reached her ears, probably Bam had sensed that something was wrong and was furiously voicing his displeasure from the other apartment. Her ears squealed, black spots erupted before her gaze and smeared Chen's face. "She was a very naughty girl, Mei-Mei!" Chen hissed, slamming his fist down again, this time in her face.
"Damn, we're more late than I expected, Mei-Lin will be mad at me" Jungkook nervously looked at the changing numbers in the elevator. "Is that Bam?" Yoongi, Jungkook and Jin strained their hearing. "Yes, it's Bam" Jungkook confirmed, his body tensing. Bam didn't bark unless there was a reason, and his barking meant he was trying to protect something. "Mei-Lin?!" he growled, knowing she was the only one on their floor, and Ban wouldn't ring the building just because he sensed her. "Do you think there's a problem?" Jungkook looked at Jin like he was crazy and then started counting the floors along with the elevator.
He jumped out the moment the elevator doors allowed him. His feet covered the distance in almost seconds and he stopped in front of Mei-Lin's open apartment door, but he didn't see her until her body flew over and hit the wall next to her bedroom door. "Mei-Lin!" he shot forward, but before he could reach her, something heavy hit him and sent him crashing into the wall next to her. "Jungkook!" Yoongi's voice came from the door. Jungkook stood up, his gaze traveled over Mei-Lin's body and his blood boiled when he looked at the cause of her condition.
"Oh, you must be my Mei-Mei's new fuck?" Jungkook slowly stood up, his eyes glinting coldly, he squared his shoulders and his neck cracked as his muscles stretched. "You're welcome, Chen" he drawled, a wicked smile twisting the corner of his mouth. "I guess I should thank you for keeping Mei-Mei company while I was gone, but now you can get out of here dude, she doesn't need you anymore" Chen stood with his legs slightly apart across from Jungkook and crossed hands in front of his chest.
"Yoongi, Jin, get Mei-Lin out of here, I don't want her to see what's going to happen next" Jungkook stepped forward without even looking at his two hyungs, who looked indifferently at Chen for a moment, then anxiously at Mei-Lin and walked behind Jungkook. "Shit, what the..." Jin crouched down, looking at Mei-Lin's face. "How is she, hyung?" Jungkook asked, keeping his eyes on Chen, his blood boiling with anger but his heart trembling with worry. If he lost sight of Chen though, he might be able to get past him and get to Mei-Lin again, which left him with no choice but to entrust her to Jin and Yoongi.
"Let's say I have a sack in the trunk of the car" Yoongi carefully slipped his hands under Mei-Lin and walked towards the door. "She's bad Jungkook, we won't interfere with you, but we'll clean up after," Jin muttered, placing a hand on his shoulder and Jungkook felt everything inside him tear apart and freeze. "Where do you think you're going with my girl!" Chen stepped forward and came face to face with Jungkook, the one Mei-Lin had never seen before. "Here you are wrong, she is MY girl, and you touched her, which turned you into a corpse" his voice was as sharp as the hair of death, his face impassive, the smile of a madman. It was this Jungkook who didn't shy away from tasting blood.
